Christmas is my favorite time at WDW. :love:I never tire of it.:cloud9: Make sure you do the Candlelight Prossesional in Epcot, the Osbourne light show in Hollywood Studios and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.:yay::yay:

Don't forget to Spring forward tonight....one hour closer to our cruise! :dance3:

Got them noted and I promise that we will not miss a thing. I intend to stay until I get it right.

When are you going Mike? If possible, try to go early in December. It gets REALLY busy from the weekend before Christmas through the weekend after New Year's. Definitely do the Candlelight Processional. We always enjoy visiting the monorail resorts to check out their Christmas decorations. The tree in the GF is really nice. We used to go every Christmas when the kids were younger.

Definitley do Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, my family went to Disney last December and I told my dad that we must do it. He was complaining alot and saying it was past his bed time, etc. Well when we were there he had the best time, and the rest of the week my dad kept telling me how much fun he had and he was really glad I forced him to go!

We are leaving immediately after Finals on Friday December 17th and plan a return Thursday the 23rd. Figured it would be busy but Jes can't miss finals week.

It's going to be really busy during that time, definitley try to take advantage of the Magic Hours.

Jeff is right...the decorations are awesome. We spent one afteroon just driving to all the resorts. Check out the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge... I had Frank take a picture of me with every Christmas Tree in WDW.
The gingerbread decorations in the Beach Club, Boardwalk, Contemporay and Grand Floridian are fantastic:cool1:
We'll be heading down there the first week of December.

AlohaJoe, my son and husband would love to do the rope course and zip lines. I can't seem to find any info on it.:confused3

The official corsica tourism website is here.

http://www.visit-corsica.com/en/infotour/actequiploisirs/id/124/indice/1/page

Here it gives the info in English. It says it has no parking for coaches so that is probably why there are not many cruise ships that do this as an excursion. Someone did and that is how it made it on the top excursion for Corsica for adventurous travelers on the cruisecritic website. From there it was treetop adventures Corsica in Google and eventually I found the website.

So far I haven't found any cruise ship people that have actually done it. This website gives GPS coordinates and I plan on having Europe maps downloaded on my TomTom that I bought yesterday.

We have a 21 and a 19 year old with us and we have been duly warned that they won't do art and history only on this trip so I have been working on alternatives. Would love to have some company on this trip. This is not an official Disney excursion on this cruise so we need to plan it well on our owns. More heads are better than one and if we can find a second tongue (French) that would be even better.

Depending on cost this may be something that my group of 3 would be interested in!

From that tourism site it looks like the tortoise sanctuary is also in Vero. There is also a nice go cart track on the way up to Vero. I am afraid if my son finds out about that I won't get him to drive me down the Prunelli gorge he will want to be racing. Decisions decisions. Don't have a lot of experience with GPS but is seems simple enough. Well still a few days to practice that on this island.

Totally off topic and unrelated to generally cruising except as the shrinking of my souvenier budget but I had share the new addition to my family.

My very own 1966 Mustang convertible!!!!!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:

It needs a lot of love but she's mine. Get to go pick her up tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement and back to your regular scheduled cruise planning. :)

Oooo! Congrats! Classy car. What color? I'm looking forward to pics tomorrow!

Lucky You, we skipped traveling during spring break last week for the first time in 12 years, won't do that again. We are however planning a Christmas Season WDW trip this December with my sister and family from California - have never done Christmas Time.
I agree with everyone else. WDW at Christmas time is fabulous! I *LOVE* the decorations. I'll spend whole days just visiting the resorts to see the trees & decorations. I usually go around the first week in December; it's usually not busy yet. But a busy week at WDW is way better than no week at WDW! Enjoy! :cool1:

I haven't made it to WDW for Xmas time yet, but have been to DL and that's cool (especially with Hanunted Mansion holiday overlay). But i suspect we'll have you all beat with DL Paris. We don't get the cnadlelight processional but they do all the decorations, special food etc. BUT the big bonus in Paris is real snow. It's pretty common to get snow at DL Paris in Decemnber and January, whihc makes the Xmas stuff feel really special.

I haven't got round to putting my pics from DL Paris in Dec 09 onto flickr yet but it's really cool with snow and xmas decs. Maybe i'll upload them later today (I'm imspired to bother now).

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's really sunny here, cold but beautifully sunny.

Just wanted to say a big hello, myself, husband and my DD (5) and DS (3) will be joining you all on on the 15th!!! I can't wait, first time on a disney cruise :woohoo:

We are hoping to stay in either salou (and go to Portaventura theme park :yay:) or Barcelona a couple of days before we sail. If you have little ones i'd recommend the barcelona zoo, with dolphin shows!!

We will be exploring most of the ports away from the disney excursions, just looking into what to do at the moment :surfweb:

Welcome Hursty, only 59 day to go

Well I’ve just spent all day shopping for cruise clothes and I absolutely loved every minute, not that I ever really need a excuse to go shop. I’m now thinking when should I book hair and nail appointments so it must be getting closer. Soooo excited

So where did you find cruise clothes? I spent all day yesterday shopping & bought one shirt. :confused3 Maybe soon...

What exactly are "cruise clothes" and how do they differ from regular clothes? I ask because my wife too insists she needs "cruise clothes". :confused3

Comfortable summer stuff, that will also look cute in pictures. Most "normal" summer stuff is just for comfort.

Plus, slightly more modest stuff for the churches in Rome and for Tunisia.
