I'd try to come up with a catchy phrase... but DH and I are both left brain engineers too.

As for ideas for the website, how about a list of what excursions people have planned at each port for so it's easier for people to meet up, share taxis, get group discounts, etc.

PS I went to school in Ozark, Alabama and so did my husband. His undergrad is from Troy..........Roll Tide.................

I grew up in Arkansas (Razorback fan) and then moved to Alabama to work in 1982 and became a Bama fan. Now that my two kids are at Auburn I'm a Tigers fan. I still root for Bama and the Razorbacks except when they're playing Auburn.

Limoinrome.com can do all 3 ports in Italy. Claudio is who we have been communicating with--we are using him all 3 days.

I think I mentioned this earlier, but in case I didn't, we used Limoinrome back in 2007 and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. You guys will be very happy with Claudio or whichever driver you get (we had Pepe').

Oh no... I graduated from Tennessee and live in Johnson City. Way too much crimson in these posts so I thought I would plug the orange! Think of it this way, at least we don't have Kiffin.

There are a lot of Tennesee grads working with me. All of them were SO glad to see Kiffin go. I wasn't a big Phil Fulmer fan but he was better than loud mouth Kiffin.

I graduated for UT Memphis a long time ago. Went to Christian Brothers College and on to UT for my emergency medicine. Didn't think I would run into that many Vols in the Mediterranean.

Hi Everyone,
I have sent our touring groups the information on ports we have booked. if you do not get it please PM or e-mail me and I will send again.

Out driver is English speaking and will give us information about each of our stops, in Italy they are not allowed to “guide” outside the vehicle, you must be a licensed guide for that. Any requests can be made and the driver will tell us whether we can get there, have time, or if it is worth the detour.

Kevin and Jamie, if Naples or La Spezia interests you let me know and I will plug you into our group.

The Chattanooga Half Marathon was great...our unofficial time was 2:16:13, which is better than I thought we'd do. I strained my left calf 3 weeks ago so we haven't been training much.

Heard on another site that fees for passports are most likely going to go up in the middle of March. If you haven't applied or renewed (remember your passport needs to be good for 6 months after the cruise is over) you might want to get it done in the next couple of weeks to avoid the fee increase.

Big Kansas fans here! We're losing to Oklahoma State right now in BB - these basketball games are aging me fast! Tennessee is our only loss so far but today might be our 2nd.

Jill, the passport reminder is important. I didn't realize mine would expire in July and they wouldn't have let me on the ship without 6 months to go on my passport. I went down 3 weeks ago and ordered a renewal - just got it back this week - only took 2 1/2 weeks!!

Jeff, super idea on the website - thanks for all the good information you have already provided. I'm always checking the sites you mention. Sounds like you and Susan had a good run. Next week we have the Disney Princess Races here - sure hope it warms up. It was rainy and 52 degrees today at Epcot.
I feel sorry for all the day guests at Disney - we have had the lousiest weather for the past 2 months. I sure hope it is warm when we go to the Med.

LOVE IT!!!! I graduated from UTK in 1994 and med school at Quillen in 1998 then Dermatology residency in 2002. I loved the Razorbacks until they got rid of Houston Nutt but my blood runs very orange. Glad to see Kiffin is gone and Dooley may become a recruiting force in the SEC. It was Fulmer's time to go but I really liked the guy and he still has a huge love for the school. Just saw UT beat Kentucky in BB. Go VOLS!

I don't think that I have ever run into a CBC grad after leaving Memphis, I was there 73-77. Was back a couple years ago to see how they have re-vitalized the downtown and Beale Street, it was great. However the Public Eye had burned down so I missed out on the best ribs ever to be BBQ'ed.

Hello All...

Ok so the hubby and I are completely stumped. We really want to be part of a great tour in Rome (I know most of the groups are full for Rome )

* I am wondering is there anyone out there that is doing a private Tour in Rome that is looking to start another group with us... We are a fun couple I promise! Ha Ha!

* Second has anyone ever done the DCL ship tours, more specifically the ones offered in Rome? Is it better to go private?

Basically any guidance would be greatly appreciated... I like to think of myself as a planner and wow I feel a little lost in this whole process.


Ok and one other thing... This whole Pirate night.... do adults dress up too or is it just for the kids? Do I need to pack my eye patch ARGH?

FE is currently at 17 so not too bad (at the moment).

I haven't counted up the number of people but i reckon it'll be somewhere around 180 people so far

So is that 17 families signed up for FE's? How many people? I need to start planning my gifts. Also did you put a deadline on Fe sign up? I can't remember.

Jeff, thank you for doing the website, what a great thing! Could you put the days of the formal, semi-formal and pirate nights on there? I keep forgetting, then I have to search through the thread again. Maybe I should put them in my calendar.

Yes, Jamie, adults dress up as well for pirate night! It's so much fun. But no worries, you will be given a pirate bandana and an eye patch! You can also buy pirate paraphinalia in the shops. My sons favorites are the fake scars.
