May Med Magic - May 15 2010 - Meet thread - Part 2

Glad to hear they found the pictures. I would be distraught if i lost pics.

Third day back at work and can't stop thinking about planning my next vacation. Heath has been looking at the excursions for our April 2011 cruise on the Dream already.

Can't decide if we want to try Hong Kong in late Oct/early Nov or if we should catch a 4 nighter on the Wonder before she heads westward. We have officially decided to go to Japan (and Tokyo Disney of course) in Summer/Fall 2011.

Do you think you could get me in your suitcase????:rolleyes1 I would love to go to Toyko or Hong Kong Disney.

We are planning our annual vacation to WDW now, we will be there 31 August - 12 September. Missing out on MNSSHP this year and not too happy about it. After that we will start planning next year's cruise, on the Magic in the Med again. Wasn't going to do anything in Tunis next year until I found out that there is an American War cemetary there, might have to go visit it for Memorial Day. Wish I had known about it this year.

Hope all of you are adjusting back into your "normal" lives, it is really hard here. Didn't think I would miss the boat that much, but I do. I can't wait until I go to the states for a week TDY (temporary duty), then I will get to visit my grand daughter.

Take care everyone and ENJOY your summer.

Cindy

So hard to be back in reality. Yesterday was my first day back at work and I was exhausted by 2. I tell everyone it was a "once in a life time" type trip that I hope to repeat a few times in my life.

Cindy and Helen, I have the picture of your families that I took at our Positano lunch on my fridge so Aiden knows what the people look like who are going to be on our Alaska tour. He tells me he wants to go whale watching too. We are planning some extra time in Vancouver/Victoria as those are 2 favorite cities.

That's great. We definately want to do some whale watching and are talking about hitting Vancouver and Victoria as well. Sounds like another great trip in the making. We will have to talk in the future. :goodvibes

Jeff our group could not agree more! We LOVED Rudy's Touring Service. We had Francesco in Rome and we joked that he was the mayor or something because it seemd like he knew EVERYONE and EVERYONE knew him! It was a great experience in all 3 ports. We even met Francesco's mother in Rome, which gave it an even more personal feel.

HOw much did Rudy's charge for their tour..I am confused by the information I got. pooh.

All our tours were for 7 people. Our Rome tour was 600 Euro, which included a tour guide in the Vatican. Our Florence/Pisa tour was 500 Euro and our Naples (Amalfi Coast and Pompeii) tour was 500 Euro. We opted for a separate Pompeii guide which was an additional 100 Euro.

We were able to have 8 in Naples and in La Spezia but only 7 in Rome.

I just wasted to say that we had a wonderful time on the cruise! :thumbsup2

My only regret is that I did not meet as everyone that was on the board.

Hope everyone settled back to real like OK.

Sayhello - Did you take our memory stick to a camera store?

Not yet. I've been ill with a stomach virus since my return, and only just got back to "normal" today. I'm hoping to hit Microcenter tomorrow or Wednesday & see what they say. Thank you guys, again, for trying to help! I really appreciate it.

Hey everyone,

Our trip report is located at www.philandjensbigadventure.blogspot.com
Just checked out your photos, very nice indeed some of ours look identical, for example the Blue Grotto looks like the one I took.
Bye the way if you are wondering who I am, I'm the english guy from north east england ( we met in the hot tub my wife and I ) asking you about you home in florida and why you moved there.
take care

Hi all, Been back now a few of weeks and it seems like a lifetime ago when we were on that fantastic cruise.
Still missing it and wishing I was back on board. Nice to meet everyone from the Disboards very charming indeed.
Thanks again to the man that is Jeff Spencer for his organisation skills were second to none.
Met a load of really nice people as I say and hopefully will keep in touch (you know how it is )
Looking forward to next year (Aug 2010) booked a 7 day Magic Med which is very similar except omits Tunisia ( but I'll loose no sleep with that ).

Take it easy you all ( doesn't sound that right with my British accent )

Awesome! It is fun meeting new people from all over the world.

I popped over to see if this board is still alive and..... Yep! You guys are awesome. I just talked to a collegue of mine and found out he is set up for the 10 day med in August. My heart sank thinking I would miss that one. I believe we may set up a cruise on the dream on the 5 day itinerary with my family next year and try to go to Universal Studio's to see the Harry Potter "land". We'll see!

Thanks for the FE !!! I love the hat---I wear it gardening here in Florida !!!

We are settling back here after our Fabulous Cruise !!! Have booked a back to back on the Dream next May--it's not the Med but Walter wants to ride the Aqua Duck !!!!
If you get to Florida next year let us know---we're not that far away from WDW !!!

Susan and I have been talking about the 5 day itineraries too. I just hope the Dream retains the beauty and classic look of the Magic and Wonder but I'm afraid it's just going to look like a big assed boat painted red/white/black-blue. :scratchin

I can't believe we've been of the ship for over 2 weeks now. Feels like yesterday.

Mind you i've still not managed to upload my pictures onto my computer let alone contemplate uploading them to flickr.

It has been busy busy busy here since we got back. Apparently every client i have decided to send urgent work while i was away. Hopefully i'll finish the last of these today and can enjoy this weekend.

I take it the Lost fans have all now seen the finale. What did people think. I was bit underwhelmed. I liked the thing about what the alternate life was and them having to remember - that was good. But to get no explanation of what was going on with the island was all just a bit frustrating. (The light at the centre thing was all just odd - and at best could maybe be considered to be religious but still not explained).

Still it was good to see certain old cast coming together again.

I'm thinking of doing WDW early next year along with a jaunt to The World of Harry Potter. Gotta see Potter land!

Sayhello

We're going down to WDW for July 4th weekend, and doing a day at Harry Potter land. I'll let you all know what we think of it - so excited to try some butterbeer!

Will be interested in seeing what you think of the Potter experience. We are doing Christmas at WDW and my sister and her family want to do Potter for a day - was thinking we would let them go the day before we get there.

Think I may have to try visit WDW in October or November for Food and Wine Festival time :woohoo:
