Jill, did they say if they could tell you that before you fly into Atlanta that day or would you have to fly to Atlanta first to find that out?

They didn't say. Just checked in and looks like 114 is still good for today so we will see tomorrow.

We are supposed to be on your flight from Atlanta, if we can make the connection since the flight changes here in Minneapolis. I have good karma that you are lucky so I am hoping your luck drags us into the flight and it is a go for Barcelona.

What is the absolute latest we can get off the ship/be out of the room?

You have to be out of your room at 8am - they will come and knock a little before 8 and throw you out soon after.

Supposedly you have to be off the ship by 9, but i think it is a little more flexible and you can stretch it to 9.30ish,.

They are keen for you to get off as early as possible asthey need to turn the ship around cleaning wise for the next cruise. I've heard from various cast members that changeover day is the only day the cast members really dislike because its so long and so busy

It is with heavy heart that we write to say we have canceled this trip. We are not able to get into Barcelona in a reasonable time. We started out yesterday at 3PM from Orlando and flew into Philadelphia. After a 12 hour delay and being on the tarmac for 3 hours US Air Finally officially canceled the flight at 5:30 AM this morning.When called to rearrange flight they said the earliest they could get us there was Sunday. Our flight was canceled due to Operational issues.

I'm so sorry. I would be raising holy h e double hockey sticks though. they should be bending over backwards to find you another flight.

BTW, was I supposed to get blue or green Lifesavers????? I haven't gone back in the thread yet to figure it out.

OMG, will this day at work never end??? I'm so not accomplishing anything anyways!!!!

Then must go home & find room for all my stuff in my suitcase and/or carryon. The one that's killing me is my pillow. I use a contoured memory foam pillow, and CANNOT sleep without it. (Well, actually I *can* sleep, but I wouldn't be able to move my neck in the morning... ) It smooshes pretty small, but it's *heavy*. I don't think I can put it in the carryon... now I'll be REALLY paranoid about the suitcase not making it... Pleasepleaseplease let me *and* my luggage make it to Barcelona!!!!

You're not the last to fly! We're not leaving until Friday evening on Delta. *sigh* Hopefully they will have it all together by the time we are going. We WILL get to Barcelona!!!

Good News ! NO, GREAT News !
Flight 114 was moved up 3 minutes and our Atlanta flight was scheduled 2 minutes later arrival, Delta told me this morning that we would most likely not make our connection. They finally lmoved us to an earlier flight !

If they would have let us do that when they started messing with our flights we may have been able to sit together or in pairs, now looks like the DW and I will be sitting in the bathroom and DDs are somewhere else - hey, but we are on the plane and will be in time to connect (maybe).

Sad for the bad news of others starting to trickle in, hopefully that is all and the rest will make flights.

It is a long story with US Air. They did try to work with us but in the end we would be traveling over 96 hours to get there and that is with no delays. There comes a time to say enough. They were able to give "trip in vane" and send us home and give us a full refund. For us that is the best solution. To add to this the exact same flight the day before us was canceled and they were still trying to get out of PHL. Also, we are very conerned about being stranded after the cruise as there have been many delays west bound and British Air will be on strike when the cruise is over.
This leaves 2 openings on private excursions for Rome,La Spezia(Florence and Pisa) and Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast if anyone wants to jump on.

We are so sorry we will not be able to meet everyone!

I'm so sorry you couldn't work anything better out with US Air. That must be so frustrating for you. Are you going to be able to get a refund/credit for the cruise? You will be missed!

Are you joking... what is with that. I have never flown Delta but DCL did all the arranging so we are in Mickey's hands. Friday seems so far away,but back to packing. I think I'm the last one to fly. It seems everyone else is flying or on their way... i will get to barcelona, i will get to barcelona..

We don't fly until 7am Saturday morning!!!! But we only have a 2 hour flight. Hoping it doesn't get cancelled. It is a loooooonngg drive to Barcelona from Belgium.
