We are trying several new restraunts this trip and I would like to know what is good on the menu :confused3
Le Celliar salmon/prime rib/steak
50's prime time meatloaf or pot roast
and what about the smores are they better at Le Celliar or 50's prime time?

At Le Cellier we had the BBQ glazed filet and the prime rib. Both were superb; in fact the prime rib was the tastiest we've ever had. One of us
had the salmon, and said it was okay, but after tasting the filet and prime rib wished he'd have gotten one of those instead. For dessert we had chocolate whiskey cake, maple creme brulee and chocolate moose. All sinfully rich and delicious ... sorry, none of us had the s'mores so can't help you there.

The fried chicken at Prime Time is great.

A cautionary note from somebody who speaks from experience, however.... Don't try to hide the fact that you didn't eat your veggies by covering them with the chicken bones, unless you don't mind having a few jokes made at your expense!

But if you enjoy a good laugh, like I do, then by all means, give it a try.

At Le Cellier I love the steak with mushrooms entree, it is fabulous.

At Prime Time the pot roast and fried chicken are our favorites.

Never had the smores at Le Cellier but the ones at the 50's are fabulous and sinful!

We love the s'mores at Prime Time and have wondered how they are at Le Cellier. Has anyone had them there?

My vote is for steak at Le Cellier and also the fried chicken at Prime Time even though it wasn't on your list.

I like the pot roast at 50s better (but everyone likes their own kind of meatloaf, KWIM?

Don't like salmon, prime rib or steak...sorry.

Didn't have s'mores at Le Cellier, but had them for a meal once at 50s! :)

Thanks for all of your suggestions, I think I will have prime rib at le celiar and either go for the pot roast or fried chicken at prime time, and for dessert smores.

You are right everyone's meatloaf is different, better stick to my own.
Thanks guys :cool1:

50's Primtime is LOADS of FUN!! We love this place!

Potroast is my favorite.

The s'mores are great but, easily made at home. You will get a graham cracker broken in half topped with a chocolate bar and marshmallows. They toast the marshmallows with a torch (which, melts the chocolate). There is no top graham cracker so you can't pick it up and eat it like a s'more you would probably make at home. At least that's been our experience. We end up trying to cut the graham cracker with a knife and fork. They are very rich, very good, and exactly like you would expect a graham cracker, chocolate bar, and toasted marshmallows to be. There isn't anything special about them other than the place where they are served.

I got all hyped up about the s'mores the first time I went to 50's Primetime because of all the positive reviews I've read online. I expected something other than ordinary s'more like I can make myself. I don't know...maybe the graham crackers being crushed and a special crust or something??

Anyway - you will have tons of fun! This is the most fun place to eat at, IMO!

If I remember correctly, Auntie Claire told us that the meatloaf has ground pork in it too. She recommended we order something else because "she doesn't like mixed meat..."

When we got the smores, it was on a huge platter and took two of us to eat it and we still couldn't finish it. I love smores but I never have enough room for it anymore.

At LeCellier, the Prince Edward Island Mussels appetizer was wonderful. My son-in-law is crazy over mussels, and he felt these were the best he's EVER had. I tasted them, and they really were delicious, kind of garlicky. My entree
(mushroom filet mignon) was absolutely terrific. The 7 people in my party all felt that mine was the best, even though they liked their meals (strip steak, regular filet mignon, prime rib, and salmon) very much as well. I don't think I've ever had better beef, and the combinations of tastes in the sides made the entire dish wonderful. If anyone in your party even "sort of" likes mushrooms, I encourage him or her to try it. It is fabulous.
