We are 2 adults and 2 children, and for this trip I did not add the dining plan. We have done the basic dining plan the last 3 years, so I know all about it. Here's my question: Should we add the quick serve plan that is new, and pay oop for Crystal Palace LUNCH, Tusker house LUNCH, and Boma DINNER. Which way would be cost effective? OR just pay OOP for everything? We do not want to have a TS every day. Going May1-8th staying at ASMU:yay: Thanks for any input!!

Anyone going and in the a similar situation? We do want 3 TS but not more. We usually eat something quick in the room for breakfast. Anyone already book the new quick serve plan and feel confident about it??:confused3

It's about $100 per day to add the REGULAR dining plan.

It's an additional $700 to add it...what are you going to spend in QS everyday and your 3 TS? Could you find a few more TS to go to if the DP adds up to being worth it? I love having everything paid for and planned out ahead of time, but it's not for everyone.

Dinner at Boma alone is over $80 so I think for that day in particular the DP would be worth it. Just go day by day.

If it were me, I'd just pay oop for everything. I don't think I'd get my money's worth out of the new CS plan because I don't like dessert with every CS meal, especially since the dessert options at many CS restaurants aren't things I'm crazy about. Plus, if we chose to pay OOP for a sit-down one day I know we wouldn't do 2 CS on top of that (too much food for us) so then we'd end up with a glut of credits on the other days.

We do the regular ddp if we plan to do alot of sit downs, especially character meals, because we get our money's worth that way.

We are going in May and we are paying OOP for everything. I only want to do 3-4 TS as well. I don't want the QS plan because so many CS places offer soo much food that the 4 of us could easily eat from 2-3 orders. Also, I think most of the "child offerings" at CS restaurants are repetitive and gross! How many uncrustables can 1 child eat?

Thanks for everyone's input! I think we will still pay OOP. We are only doing 3 TS anyway. Just trying to figure out if the new plan may be worth it, but it looks like "no". We don't want to upgrade to the basic plan because it was too time consuming on the last trip. Plus we would eat our TS for dinner because it was the most bang for your buck, but then the tip has to reflect that. We spent lots more $$$ on top of prepaying the Dining plan on TIPS!!! I'll be interested to hear from anyone that tries out the counter service plan.
