May character update

Before my May 1st trip, I spent a lot of time on the boards looking for characters. More so for random character greetings. I met a ton of characters last week and would love to help anyone who's looking for someone special. Just post and I'd be happy to help. . Just trying to give something back.

MY son wants to see MR. Smee. I tried to get ressies for Pirates and Pal but could not. Did you see him?

Yes we did, at the animation building at 4:50/5:20. This is a random character location that takes place on non early fantasmic days at DHS. We saw them 3 separate times.

We didn't catch Timon this year but I say him last year outside the entrance of AK and we saw Brer Rabbit at Rafiki's Planet watch. Again that was last year, I did ask a CM and he said they just weren't out right now so I'm thinking their stations would be the same.

My son really wants to see Captain Hook & my daughter wants to see Tinkerbell but I know Tinkerbell is moving on the 16th...

How about Grumpy? I know the 7 dwarfs come out on special occasions like MNSSHP and MVMCP and that you can sometimes find dopey but I've never really heard anything about Grumpy. I'd love to get a picture with Grumpy since I always tease DBF that he is him

Picking up a times guide when you enter will have this information. It's not always precise and they may have "surprise" character meet and greets if the weather turns bad and some characters have to go inside or change locations due to their "outfit". We lucked out last year and met Ariel in her evening gown at Epcot because she was doing a test meet and greet.

If you are at the sorceror hat you would go to the right. Near Playhouse Disney and Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

Captain Hook I think is a very good chance at the Animation Building. That's correct about Tink

Grumpy is only out on those special occasions. You can sometimes find Dopey with Snow White at EPCOT.

This is correct. If it's raining, at EPCOT, the hallway exiting the Character Spot is a random character location. With the Fantasyland expansion, you can actually meet Ariel in her dress everyday at the Adventureland Veranda, last week we met Prince Eric too!

Yes, she was in EPCOT at China. This is a scheduled meet and greet on the map so you can check the times guide. I have also met her at the Animation Building.

Brer Rabbit appears randomly in Camp Minnie-Mickey, while Timon is known to appear at the Oasis (the main entrance).

I know it is a long shot, but has anyone seen Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh lately? I know he is rare, but every once in a while someone mentions that they have seen him. He is DS16's favorite character.

Max has been out recently at 50% of the Fantasmic meet and greets at DHS.

Rabbit has been spotted hit and miss(mostly miss) at the toy shop in UK. Every sighting I read about was a weekday, Ive never seen him on the weekends.

For the PP who asked about Pete - he is not, has never been, and as of right now, will never be a meetable character. Hopefully that will change one day, but I've heard nothing to suggest otherwise.

For the OP - if you get a chance, it would be awesome if you'd visit the character finder (link in my sig) and share your sightings there! That way, others who will be going to WDW in the near future will be able to benefit from your experiences.
