Next Thursday March 2nd we are flying out of Buffalo and have to switch planes in baltimore then we proceed to orlando. We are flying Southwest. My question is, in Baltimore do we have to get our luggage and re-check it on the connecting flight or will our luggage be put on the other plane automatically?

If you purchased the airfare as round trip tickets you don't have to do anything with you bags as the airline will transfer them for you. Just get off the plane and walk to the next one and hop on. :thumbsup2

eyeoreismyhero is correct. SW will send your luggage to your final destination (Orlando) - no re-checking involved!!

HTH!!! :teeth:

Awesome. I was just about to post a question about this flight. I am taking it on March 8th. I too was concerned about my luggage. Glad to hear it will go straight thru without me having to handle it again. Also, I think there is only about 1/2 hour in Baltimore. Doesn't seem like long, is it easy to get from the one gate to the other? Do we have to clear security again?

You should be fine. Any airline's gates in any given airport should all be in the same section or terminal. You may have a bit of a hike (doesn't Southwest have a BIG presence there?) but you shouldn't have to go through security again.
