Yesterday I went to pick my DH up from work and a new guy that just started came out with him to say hi. 1st thing he says to my kids "Are you excited you are going to Disney World???" I quickly jumped in and said oh we are going on a cruise and then said "you're already on the crap list" Thankfully it went right over my kids head and they just said no we are going on a cruise... that is ALL they know. Phew. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

As hard as you've worked to keep it all a secret. I would've died! Luckily, kids never listen to adults anyway, so you're saved!

My husband and dd (9) saw Cavalia a couple of weeks ago, they loved it! Camille & I opted to hang out at Chesterfield Mall Have fun!

Didn't even realize you're from the area. Just saw the Southern Illinois bit. Yes, it was absolutely amazing. I just kept saying "That is just beautiful." over and over. I got a VIP deal off of Travelzoo.com. Best money spent in a long while.

Tracey brought up a good question. If I'm wearing that pretty pink cocktail number, what's he gonna wear??? He doesn't have a suit. He has shirt/tie/navy sport coat/khakis. So, opinions please? The pink dress is too dressy for a sport coat & khakis, huh?

I'm with Cindy. The key is wearing something you're comfortable together and individually. My DH happens to look pretty hot in a white shirt, sports coat & jeans.

Ok so last night I tried making magnets... I am just not able to figure this stuff out My goal for this week though is to finish my FE gifts. I also need to put the iron ons that I ordered on shirts.. this way if I mess them up I can re-order some new ones Wish me luck! Hope this is a great week for everyone!

I worked on magnets yesterday too and have to get them to not be pixelated... is that a word??

The thing that worked for me was to upload photos to photobucket and then in there you can edit with text, pics, you name it. Then you download it to your computer and print. I'm printing on scratch paper first...

The thing is that sometimes I tried to post but being not English speaker, when I finish I realize that it sounds "rare" so finally I don't post it!! (out of respect for you!!)

I’m so close to our trip we are leaving Argentina on April 27… only 12 days!!! I’m so excited!!
I pray and I am so sorry for all loses and bad moments some of you are living. Live gives us so much and sometimes Life puts us through trials, there are hard moments where we must take all our strength. Fortunately, there are also moments to enjoy with family and friends, as the one we are going to enjoy within some days, under the powerful magic of Disney which becomes us children again and gives us pure happiness.

Sorry, Cindy. I actually sat next to a lone Cubs fan who was going into Ranger school next week. I bought him a Kosher dog and a beer - out of pity (for being a Cubs fan) and respect (for being a serviceman).

1 more month!!!!! I seriously need this trip like right now. This weekend my poor Lab really started failing. When we got home from my sister's house on Easter, he was unable to move his back half. We had to take him in and put him down. We are just heartbroken On a positive note my cort. shot really helped my foot. Hopefully it lasts a LONG time.

I still havent received our FE from Gradysmom. She said it was going out last week... she has been running really behind. Im hoping it comes this week.

I am very attached to my dog. i am sorry for your lose. In 2003 I loss my miniature chow chow. It took me until 2009 to get another dog.

I hear ya. I got a call Sunday that my grandmother passed away on Saturday night. I am attending the visitation and funeral tomorrow. I hate those things. My grandma had Alzheimers really bad for the past several years, so the grandma I remember has been gone a long time

That is terrible. I am sorry for your loss I still miss my Grannie that passed in August. I use to work on an Alzheimer's floor at a local nursing home. I almost had an emotional breakdown working on that floor it was so sad

This is totally not cruise-related but quite shocking. I gotta vent. I just called our car insurance company (Progressive) to see how much it was going to cost to add Chandler on our policy once he gets his operator's license at the beginning of June. When the guy told me I almost yacked. Seriously. He generates another $181 ever MONTH. Per month!!! O.M.G. That's the most insane thing I've ever heard in my life! Either he's going to get a job and pay no less than half the increase or there's no license in his future. I never thought I'd have to go back to work to pay for my stinkin' kids to drive. Thank God we only had 2.

I had to switch to Gieco after a rate increase that Progressive said was because more people where having accidents. Mind you not on our policy just in general and it is way cheaper.

Oh funny story I just thought of (I am very post-y today )

My dh got the mail Tuesday night but didn't bring it in the house. When we were leaving to go to the funeral home he grabs it out of his car. I am looking through it and notice something addressed to him from the court house. I open and he has a notice to serve on jury duty. He has NEVER served jury duty before. And can you guess the 2 week time period he has to be available.........wait for it.............May 7-May 18

He called his aunt, who is married to a judge in another district, and they advised him to request it be deferred to another time. They said the judge will have to approve it. Camille told him we'd have fun without him

So not fun yes see if you can get it deferred. I know a couple people who have had to do this.

I just got a call & email from DCL that I got an upgrade! I can't believe it!!! We are now in a deluxe verandah cabin! I'm soooooo excited! I've had 3 really bad days in a row, so this just totally made my happy weekend! Yippy Yippy Yippy!

I love everyone's beautiful dresses! My philosophy is so long as you look good, you're never overdressed. If someone gawks, they're just jealous.

My idea of packing is ... how many mixes & matches can I get by without people noticing that I'm wearing the same thing more than once? And, will everyone think I'm going to a funeral b/c everything is I wear is usually black or at least matches my 1 pair of black shoes? Now that my secret's out of the bag, please don't look at me funny. I promise I will take daily showers.

BTW - did anyone get the straight scoop on what are the dining rotations and which night(s) are semi or formal? That's the extent of my planning ... what to pack in a carryon and where to go to eat.

There have been plenty of time my husband has just worn khakis a nice button up shirt, long sleeve of course and tie when I where something a little more dressy. No worries.

My dad's Mickey is wrong. It was supposed to be a sailor Mickey to match my mom's. I emailed her and she apologized and said she'd fix it, but I think I'll keep it the way it is. I don't imagine my dad will care either way (they don't even know I bought this!). Aren't they great???!!!

I ordered some iron ons for my kids.. did those yesterday. 1 of my friends who is crafty graciously offered to help me with part of my FE gifts. She is getting those to me today... its all coming together! I want to start packing!!!!!!!!

What part of it is giving you trouble? I need to finish mine up too. I keep thinking I might make a few more so I haven't sent them to be printed. I am going to print mine on photo paper and attach magnets to the back - I don't think I will laminate them. Then whatever ones make it through can go in my scrapbook!

If they are pixelated (yes it is a word) you are using an image that is too small or low resolution. Make sure that you are opening the image up so it is as large as it will go before you download it.

I was telling Brian that maybe I could just buy a wide leather belt, and his reply was, "We DO still need regular clothes, so how bout you stop obsessing over a belt." Good point! Time to refocus considering he's lost 20lbs and has nothing to wear. It's very easy for me to get lost in my own little projects when I have tons of other things to do. The jury is still out on whether I will appear in the pirate wench outfit.

I went to goodwill and found a ladies shirt to sew up for the top, and then by luck I found someones old leather bustier. I can only imagine what this thing has seen, but I cut off the top of it and sewed it into a waist corset for Maya. Works perfect!

Hey Everyone!

So far we have two planned meets for our cruise. Embarkation Day at 3:00 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge, and on our Day at Sea (Friday) I believe somewhere on the pool deck around 11 a.m. for everyone to meet up before heading off to respective lunches (Palo, Lumiere's, Topsiders, etc.) and then again meeting after lunch in Diversions.

I would imagine there will be some folks in the same tasting sessions as well (if a Champagne one is available, I am so there...I may also sign up for a Margarita one if available).

Are there any other meets planned at this point?

Also, for those participating in the FE, all staterooms have now been assigned. The updated spreadsheet is on Google docs, and was also emailed out this evening. If there are any changes necessary (or if I left anything off), please let me know. Any other last minute stateroom changes will be noted via Google and email up until the day before the cruise. Once onboard, if there are any changes at the port, I will divvy out the info to everyone accordingly.

I bagged up the kids/teens FE gifts this evening. Once all the parts for the adult FEs arrive, I can get those going as well. Bag tags are made. Things are finally starting to come together!

We leave in three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My kitties are NOT happy about it at all, but Grandma from Chicago will be visiting a few weeks later so hopefully that will make it up to them.
