My FE are done!! I still need to pack. Trying to decide on what beach to go to in St. John's. Can anyone recommend one? Make sure everyone packs extra suntan lotion.

Finished the FE packing today Hope you like the gifts....

During the week it will be the DW and my turn to pack.
We are off to Disney on the 27th and are all about to burst with excitement.

So who is heading to the Promenade lounge for the 3pm meet... As long as everything go smoothly, we should be attending to say hi...

Our Docs came yesterday with a Mickey Mouse Hat with Casey's name on it and an autograph book and pen! We love our travel agent.
Still working on FE gifts and then we will mail it out!

I'm thinking that I may start packing this coming weekend! I wanted to start this weekend - but we just got too busy.

I went through my freezer and pantry today to try and meal plan for the next few weeks so we can use up everything we have and start fresh after vacation. (I'm thinking we may be wanting a lot of salads after this trip )

And my DH and I went to Old Navy yesterday because I heard that they were having a swimsuit sale - and we scored some AWESOME deals on swim suits. I bought 2 and my DH bought one and we spent just over $25!!!

I am OFFICIALLY DONE buying clothes for this trip. Seriously..... I mean it this time.

Well...we have been at kids school this morning to tell them that they will miss a week of school....now I'm going to pack FE gifts into a box and get it ready for shipping.

Canadian Girl 77: I think you can probably have 10 people, there is an upcharge of $50.00 pp ($500 then $50 for each additional...is that correct?). Just head to guest services when you get on the ship and sign up for one (or at least have your name on a waiting list)

I feel so out of the loop! This is probably one of the longest meets threads!!! I just haven't been able to keep up like I have in the past. Getting super excited! I just read about the family whose flight was cancelled due to the storms and missed their cruise!!! Hopefully we won't have any of those problems. Scary. We are flying in the night before too, but that didn't help those poor people.

I've sort of decided that I'm going to bring 4 casual outfits instead of 8 this year for everyone. I usually do a load of laundry in the middle of the cruise and always think that I shouldn't have brought so much. It seems like there were so many days that I just slipped my jean shorts over my bathing suit or a cover-up. All the planning for nothing. I'm glad my dresses still fit from past cruises, even though some of the pics will look the same!!! I've gotten some great deals in January's past for formal gowns and dresses!! I enjoy getting dressed up. Don't get to throughout the year! Getting super excited

I posted this a few other places, but wanted to see what you guys thought -
I have a digital camera that I would like to bring to the ports with us, but I'm not sure what to do with it when we're at the beach. I bought one of those waterproof bags to put it in, but now I am nervous about leaving it with our towels. My DH and I are going alone on this trip, so there won't be someone for us to leave our things with.... should I bring it - or should I just use underwater disposable cameras? I know it's safer, but I scrapbook and I would hate to have poor quality photos for those days.


***On St Thomas and we'll be on an all day snorkel excursion that includes snorkeling at 2 locations and lunch at the beach, and when we go to St Maarten we are "winging it" and just taking a taxi to the beach.


What do you guys think?

I have way too much on my packing list. I started shopping way too early for this trip - so now I have SO many outfits I want to bring but I know I'll do the same thing - swimsuit, coverup, shorts etc etc

That's what I am going to start to work on this weekend. I need to minimize.

Dianatlol-we feel your pain..DH is up on the chopping block and we fully expect him to loose his job before we leave...Not adding to the joy but we aren't going to allow it to take it away the joy...I took some crappy night job to supplement our trip ect...As for the FE-no worries if you bow out or choose a less expensive fe gift...I am sorry for yalls trouble and hope it works out!

Don't worry about your FE, you have bigger things to think about. Hang your FE, your on the list, I still intend to give you your gift (as long as it travels in tact), so it will either hang on your door somehow or in that lovely FE you have. I don't expect anything in return, don't feel bad. Enjoy the Disney Magic!!! And you never know what a little bit of Pixie Dust might do!

OMG....thinking about you during this time.
Hopefully you can put your worries on the backburner and enjoy your much-needed upcoming vacation.
As for FE's.........don't you worry about a thing. Bring your FE hanger and enjoy our offerings. Don't worry for a second about purchasing items to contribute.

I am so sorry about your job loss. On my last disney cruise one of the friends I met her husband just lost his job before the cruise. They too were in the FE exchange. They ended up just buying one thing per stateroom from the dollar store and threw in some candies. They ended up having a wonderful cruise and her husband did get a new job a few months later. Remember to keep the faith, hope and pixie dust!!
