It was a great cruise!

It was very nice of Disney to put us with you and your family Lisa, we had such a lovely time and could not of hoped for better tablemates.

Our trip home was quite eventful, including a 4 hour flight delay, so we walked through the door at 2.30pm on Sunday and I was at work 7.00am yesterday.

Highlight for me was the the Couples Villa Massage thing.

Anyway must work harder, to pay for future cruising!

Hi all, from a very rainy UK....wish I was back in Castaway cay right now

Yes, we were incredibly lucky with our table mates this year...hi Lisa & Doug and felt this helped make our trip really memorable. They also have the most polite, well mannered teenager we've ever come across...a really lovely young man!

My highlight of the trip was our afternoon at the couples spa villa onboard...it made our anniversary really special and was money well spent I also loved seeing dolphins swimming alongside the ship as went into Cozumel...how awesome!

Now back to my laundry mountain.........

Glad you all had a great time. My hubby is VERY burnt from Castaway Cay but I did quite well! Yes, I definately put my name on the name list for the new ship in 2011. I figured it would be really neat to be on the maiden voyage and besides, it gives me a chance to start saving! We use All Seasons Travel out of Jacksonvile. We met them on the 2005 Panama Canal cruise and they had the Walt suite and were letting people tour it! They are really great people and they already have a list going so when booking opens for the 2011, they will automatically get the people on it! Anyway, I will try to post a couple of pics since I did'nt get to see man of you. Maybe I was right next to you all and never knew it! By the way, I'm pretty sure that was the boat rocking and not me. At least thats how it looked from my point of view!!!

Mandy and Mark! You are so sweet! Thank you for the compliments on Ryan, I think he is the greatest, but you know how a mom can be a bit biased.
Sorry to hear your flights were delayed. I am telling you that after this trip, I am not going to fly anytime soon! Back to motorhoming.

I will be emailing you guys the videos and pics that we got, I just haven't had much time on the computer since we got back. Everyone is back to work, even Ryan. So we are all off in different directions every day.

Ryan says to tell you he misses you and he is still considering that trip to the UK...even as an au pair!

Aww. I wish I was back in the nice warm weather. I don't know about this 40 degree weather. I had a great time as well as my family did. I was suprized that my children didn't want to stay in the children places as much. The sad thing is on Thursday night my DD got a nice ear infection so LONG flight home. Though she was going to die landing on our first leg. So for the second flight I gave her some Benedryl. Slept the whole way home. So Yesterday we ended up going to the dr. dd has a nice ear infection. I asked the dr. should I still feel like i am on the boat?? I am always swaying like the ship is rocking. Well I too have a nice inner ear infection. So both of us are on meds and I am walking like a drunk down the street.

I did rebook while on board. I planned for 4 sea/ 3 land over thanksgiving 2008. But there is an option of changed and moving the date back if need too. So I thougth why not go for it, we did enjoy the cruise....

I will be working on my trip report her in the next day or so..

HOpe everyone made it home safe and sound.

we did decide to sell our timeshares we have an invest into the dvc while on board...just have to get the other 2 sold now..lol

thanks!!! you and your hubby and son were very nice also!!! I still am sssooo bummed that I left the DIS meet BEFORE i got any pictures......but my kids (and hubby) were getting a little antsy and wanted to GO!!!!

Hi everyone!

Our servers were good: Anastacia and David.
Also that they think about rotating formal night. We were in Parrot Cay for formal and semi formal and there is something very wrong with servicing bar b que ribs whilst dressed in formal wear.

Lisa- Ok I have to ask....which seating did you have? We had 6:00Pm with David and anastaica and also were in parrot Cay for both formal and semi-formal night (i agree....BBQ and formal does not go hand in hand!!!!LOL) but I know that our servers only had three tables, so I am wondering if one of them was yours????? I left the DIS meet a little early, so maybe that is why we didn't recognize each other at dinner???
As for Anastacia, she was WONDERFUL! Did you know that she is leaving and going back to RCL Sovereign on the Seas in two weeks? David, on the other hand, in my opinion...and compared to other servers we had on DCL would be better suited for Palo or an adults only restaurant...I found him to be rather too prim and proper for my kids, ages 7 and 9. Our server the last time did magic tricks every night and lots of special things for the kids....but David was always trying to steer my kids to order vegetables and 'real" food and always seemed easily anoyed.....he sort of got on my nerves by the last night! She was great, tho, always smiling and laughing and joking!!!!

Hi all! I got so busy that I did'nt get to meet half of you but Kaylin had a blast with everyone. She was right by Courtney on day and they did'nt even know it until I told her! My BIL was really seasick the first day so I did'nt stay at the meet Sorry! Did anybody book another on board? We are going to wait until the new ship comes out in 2011. We were put on a list through our travel agent for a balcony. Anyone game? DId anyone go to Carlos N Charlies in cozumel? I hope I did'nt embarrass myself tooo much! Anyway, I'm back to work and stressed! Major cruise withdrawls right now!

Hey Kim-My Dh and I were at Carlos and Charlies on Cozumel night...we put the kids in the kids clubs and ventured off (I was a little worried doing it, but it turned out fine!) It was a FUN time that night at Carlos and Charlie's!!!!!!

YES!!!!!! buying DVC seven years ago was one of the best decisions we ever made...wish we had bought in sooner!!!! We love it and USE it alot!!!!! if you have any questions, let me know....I will be happy to answer any for you!!!!!

MBW I totally agree with you I was with Lisa at the late seating, 8:30. We actually gave Anastacia a biiger tip than David. At first I preferred David but that girl totally loosened up and was a lot of fun for the kids and us as well.We had great tablemates that were not disers but I will get them involved for their next cruise.

We gave anastacia a bigger tip than David also!!!!! she totally deserved it! We gave him exactly what he was due after all they do work very hard for their money, but we gave her more money total than what we gave to him.....so her tip percentage and total dollar amount money was higher than his (if that makes any sense....I know what I am trying to say, just not sure how it was coming across) I sort of got the feeling from her, that she knew that he rubbed people the wrong way. Actually....., my husband sort of got that out of her....by the end of the cruise, my DH and Anastacia were buddies!

Oh well back to work, it has rained every day since we have been home :-(

I have to say that I agree with Mark. David was just one of those people that you had to "get" his humor. We found him fine, but I can see where people would find him prim and stuffy! As Ryan was the youngest person at our table (at 17) and he was rarely there, we were fine with David's attitude. Anastacia was a doll, but very quiet and after a while, the "my lady" stuff was getting on my nerves!

I forgot to mention that we had Zita at Palo and she was wonderful! Very nice and personable. We saw her later in the week at Goofy's and she remembered us and asked again if we were coming back to Palo.

I also forgot to mention that we tipped according to service and both David and Anastacia rec'd more than the recommendation, but not as much as I tipped last year when we had "excellent" service. We did NOT tip the Head server, because as Mark said, he was non existent!

Mark, come to Washington, we have had sunny skies and 85 degrees since we got back! It has been warmer here than when we were on the cruise!

MBW, where were you guys at Carlos N' Charlies? What were you wearing? I swear I'm not hitting on you but I seam to remember people from what they were wearing We sat as you go in to the left aganist the wall, but I was in the conga line, on the dance floor, on my table and chairs Maybe I should'nt have told you that was me! By the time I got back to the ship I had a sticky leg from knocking my MIL "yard" all over my leg and popcorn down my shirt! Did you see that big guy that worked there doing card tricks? He was great!

I wish we could keep this thread going on forever because I am going through withdraws and do not like this reality thing one bit! I think we should have a reunion on the new ship in 2011!

We have all been going through a major sinus thing here. We are in Suwannee County so we are getting massive smoke from Georiga and Columbia County, FL. It's horrible! They are telling everyone not to go outside (explain to me how to do that unless you have an endless supply of money?) Well, I will try to get some pics up soon!

Isn't it very funny how everyone can have a different experience.....i guess that is why we have to take everyone's experience and opinions with a grain of salt, huh? LOL!!!! My DH is VERY outgoing, so he brought Anastacia out of her shell right away....and I think since we had such EXCELLENT service on our last cruise, I couldn;t help but compare David to the last server....and he just didn't match up. but he did work hard. As for the head server....too funny....we had a totally different experience with him! He was constantly at our table, we got to know so much about him and his family (3 daughters, his wife works at disney in Paris, etc!!) and he was going to be going home for his two months off the day we got off of the ship! so, like I said....none of our opinions are wrong....we just had two totally different experiences and it almost seems like we are talking aobut different people....LOL!!!!!!!

We had Jonathan and I can't remember the other ones name I did'nt care too much for them and they forgot Kaylin's food the first night and sometimes we would have our food before our drinks! I don't let it bother me, it's a vacation and my life is stressed enough I've been a server and it's not easy so I just enjoyed the fact that I got to go! I also heard alot of people complaining about kids being where they should'nt be. I guess I did'nt pay enough attention. I know mine would come by the adult pool area once in awhile to ask me something or give me something but she knew she was not to hang out there. I guess I just figure I'm on a Disney cruise and there will be kids running around even though I would spy on my own every once in awhile to make sure they were behaving SHHHHH I had a great time and I try not to let the little things bother me! Although at times it was the adults that seemed to need an attitude change! We did run across a few adults that I was quite proud of my hubby for keeping quiet! Some can be so rude so it does'nt surprise me to see the kids the way they are. Looky here, I started out so good then ended up complaining!
