May 5th 2007 Western Magic CINCO DIS MAYO!

Good morning those of you that are still here, just a couple of hours and i am out the door. I keep thinking to myself that I am getting on the boat when I arrive and forgetting i am going to the radison. I am really pushing this vacation along, I better slow down and smell the suntan lotion. Have a safe trip all and i will see you tomorrow. BON VOYAGE!!!!!:boat: :boat:

Still here...1-1/2 more hours til the shuttle picks us up! I keep thinking like you...that we'll be getting on the boat and that's not til tomorrow!

The Magic is waiting for you. I captured this pic of the Magic from the Radisson webcam at 5:40 this morning. Not the best photo, but it's a pic you don't get to see very often. Here's wishing all of you a MAGICal cruise, especially to my neighbors Marc, Bobbi and kids(mbw12). I'll try and capture the Magic sailing by the Two Palms cam later today.

Thanks Verandah Man! I'm on board right now. It was Pirate night. Yes we did get a late start because of so much extra luggage and they were waiting for more fuel. We had early seating, so missed waving to everyone and sailing out of the port area. I was bummed! Oh well... the cruise has been great so far! Thanks for taking those pics for us!

Oh yeah...met MBW12 at the cruise meet and a few times around the ship! Nice family!

Good Morning

If you should see Bobbi and Marc again, tell them I said hello, and let them know everything is fine here in town!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks verandah man, yes it truly was magical, I am surprised I am not in those web shots as I spent a lot of time on deck 10 with my bbc's and smokes.

To all of my fellow cruisers it was a pleasure meeting all of you and hope you are all safe and snug at home now. My dis meet photos came out good now if I can only figure out how to post them.

Hi Sherri...nice to have met you too! We are at WDW right now, so I won't be able to post any pictures for awhile, but I took around 700! Hope everyone checks in here when they get back to report on how they liked this cruise!

Hi everyone!
I really enjoyed meeting everyone. It is always nice to see a familiar face around the ship. :)

Disney did great this time and put us with Mandy and Mark (UKAngel) for dinner. Hi guys! We loved having you for tablemates! It was a lot of fun! Hope your trip back to the UK was uneventful and you are doing well.

We rarely saw ds this trip (again) he was out until 2am every night and just had the time of his life. Loved the Stack and the counselors there.

There was a celebrity on our cruise, if you all didn't know. The boy that did the voice of Koda on Brother Bear and now stars in the Bernie Mac show, was in the Stack and hung out with ds all week. (I know everyone likes a celebrity on board...LOL)

I am not sure if I will get a trip report together as I didn't take any notes...too busy having fun, but suffice to say we had a wonderful time.
Our servers were good: Anastacia and David. Our room steward, we dubbed "Ninja room man" because he was in and out very quickly and had our room spotless. Our tablemates, I already said were wonderful. :)
Shows were good, I really liked the new Dreams, but Golden Mickeys is still my fave.

I did write a two page letter to Disney for comments on things like: enforcing rules. I mean, if you are going to have them, enforce them. Things like; kids in the adult areas, dress code (shorts and flip flops at dinners), etc. Also that they think about rotating formal night. We were in Parrot Cay for formal and semi formal and there is something very wrong with servicing bar b que ribs whilst dressed in formal wear. :goodvibes

Shore excursions were fine. KW, we did the White Knuckle and it was fun, we got WET. GC we did the Pirate encounter, they catered to the young kids and forgot the parents and older kids. Also too short of swimming time and too long hawking the cd and bandanas. Coz I did the swim with dolphins. Absolute highlight of my trip! Doug did the observer and therefore filmed the whole thing for me, saved me some money on videos etc, but I still bought some of the pics.

Anyway, that's the abridged version. Hope everyone got back safely.

Hi all! I got so busy that I did'nt get to meet half of you but Kaylin had a blast with everyone. She was right by Courtney on day and they did'nt even know it until I told her! My BIL was really seasick the first day so I did'nt stay at the meet :sad1: Sorry! Did anybody book another on board? We are going to wait until the new ship comes out in 2011. We were put on a list through our travel agent for a balcony. Anyone game? DId anyone go to Carlos N Charlies in cozumel? I hope I did'nt embarrass myself tooo much! Anyway, I'm back to work and stressed! Major cruise withdrawls right now!

wow i see some of you made it back here before we did. we got back home around 4 pm yesterday. the drive home wasnt too bad but amber asked a couple times when we was going back to the boat again..lol.

nice meeting all of you and we ran into some of you off and on during the cruise. i got burned pretty good in at key west so i spent most of the next few days below the upper decks to prepare for the parasailing excursion at castaway cay..and for those of you who didn't resign up for it...it was sooo awesome..even with the rough waters and all it never go cancelled and we loved it. i plan on doing a trip report but wont get to it till next week probably since i am trying to get my pics organized. needless to say we didnt take as many as we thought we would but we have them on like 4 different cameras...lol

hope everyone makes it home safely and did you all see the news on that cruise ship in alaska?

we didn't book on board as we couldn't be certain that we could aford another cruise in 2 yrs time frame. however, we did discuss doing anohter one when the new ships come out so in 2011 or 2012 we will be on one i am sure. i am curious to see what port of calls will be by then too..

nope we didnt do carlos but we had a good view from our stateroom of everyone coming back on board that nite..looked like a alot of unstable people out there..lol..or maybe it was the boat rocking ...yeah yeah thats it huh? lol

i go back to work on wed. i'm into my second peeling of skin now so i look like a snake doing a major skin release..lol

Glad to hear you all had a grand time. We did the dolphins in coz also and that was our highlight.

Mickey since we in the same dining, I totally agree about formal and semi being in Parrot cay.

Affter we got home hubby asked if i had rebooked I asked should I have and he laughed, I guess i should have and surpised him.. Even Mr. grunpy was raving about how relaxed he was as opposed to going to the parks.

I am dry and flaking but not really pealing, can you all believe how salty that water was at grand Cayman?

Talk you all soon, stay in touch.

wow how did that happen sherrie?? my hubby was indifferent on me booking again..he said go for it if you want too..lol i really want to see what other port of calls they come out with though before booking another cruise. i probably wont do another one though till we have the 15 yr old out on his own that way we can do a longer trip;) maybe like 14 nites :thumbsup2 :cool1:

amber has been going around singing disney songs but playing christmas songs on her radio  :rotfl2: my strange child. my mom asked her if she wants to go on a big boat again and amber piped in with "how about we go tomorrow would that be ok?"

verandah man..thanx for the pics.. we was late getting started as they said the fuel tank refueling was late getting there to refuel the ship..we had asked the captain a question about how much fuel it takes for a week long trip and he told us that was why we had a hold up leaving. and to answer how much fuel.. he said it takes 180,000 gallons for one 7 nite cruise.

Hello Everyone! We had an absolute ball, the time of our lives! :cool1:

We re booked on board to get the discount, but I'm SURE we'll end up changing our dates around before it's all over. We re booked for the September 2008 Western Alternate cruise, visiting Castaway Cay twice, Costa Maya, and Cozumel! What do ya'll think about the whole hurricane season thing??? I've heard that the worst they would do in the event of a hurricane, is change the route and the ports of call....would that be so bad? The September prices are SOOO much cheaper. I wonder if it would be raining the entire time in September?? Well, I can't really be off work at the end of the month anyway, so I'm sure we'll end up changing it. At least we have something to look forward to!

Sorry we didn't come to the Promenade meeting...we were so late getting to the ship, and by the time we got there, we were starving! We ended up being table mates with WDWPirates, and they were pretty cool! :thumbsup2

I'll post a trip report too, but it probably won't be this week! Too much to get caught up on... :scared1:

I'm so happy to be home with my doggies! I missed my babies so much...not so glad to be back at work though...ugh. Lol

TTYL!
