Well, I did it...I went to the Disneyland Job Fair today and applied. Gee...their jobs pay low! I made it through the first few rounds of applicants, and he wants me to interview with another guy next week for a different job. (Disney Desk) I'd be rotating through the area hotels for this. Pays a little better, but not much. I just want to do something different for awhile.

awesome...does that mean we can all be your fmaily so we can get discounts??

Well, if I get it, even though it pays low, I will get discounts on all kinds of stuff and hotels and travel and CRUISES!

And yes...looks like I can sign in about 16 people a year for free! You guys wanna draw straws? hee hehe....

Thats so not fair. I wanna work for Mickey too, but the commute from KY would be a killer.

I did look into working at a local Dis store, but they are no longer owned by Disney. They do however give you 4 free one day passes a year. Not exactly worth it.

Has anyone noticed that when you're talking with people now that somehow the topic of your cruise just pops right up. It can be related to just about anything.

Case in point...we went fishing last night and were hitting a lot of waves coming from the wake of the other boats. So, I made a comment to dh about the "wavelets" on the boat. Did anyone else watch that channel that told how big the waves are? On the last night I kept waiting for it to say BIG SSA waves!

I think my co-worker is about to start tranquilizing me or something. I have this diecut of Minnie Mouse sitting at a desk with stuff all over it stamped urgent and she's just a daydreaming away. It says "I'd rather be at Disney". Thats so me!!

I have great news! My db and dsil are going to go on the next one in Oct. 08 with us. We won't be close together room wise as I am Cat 9, 2nd floor aft and they are Cat 6, 6th floor forward, BUT I see him like 1/year or so and just having dinner with him will be nice. But so help me, (he is my older brother and we still pick on each other) if he embarrasses me his butt is going over and I'm telling mom I don't know how it happened

You note made me laugh, Karen. I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't "mentioned" the fact I was just on a Disney cruise.. I bet word is going to get about this "small" town of 96,000 to watch out for that Karen Osborne woman if you have no interest in Disney cruises.
And can you post some of your scrap book pages to share? I would love to see what you did so far. I just starte scrapbooking our 2006 cruise to Great Britian. I wanted to save the Disney cruise for my 3 night scrapbook cruise in September. Then I can give it complete attention.

I'd love to see your pages also. I finished putting my pictures in online albums so the relatives and friends could see them, but I still have to pick which ones to print! Then there is the problem of all my scrapbook stuff put up because that's the new cats sanctuary room until they get use to my cats! I'm so ready to start scrappin, so maybe your pages will motivate me!

yeah but i will make a special trip to visit just to get one.. actually we do want to do disneyland sometime in the future. just want to wait till amber is old enough that we dont have to worry about strollers, car seats and stuff like that for an airplane ride.

i do the same thing..not too much at work but here at home amber is still coming up and talking about the trip and all..and friends have asked about it after hearing amber jabber away about it..heck i think she could sell the trip as much as she has talked about it since coming home..

What's funny is when I went for my pedicure before my trip, I was talking to the lady doing it about the cruise and the other people in the room were listening. I had one convinced she was taking her kids on one and asked for all the websites I used, and two more ladies considering too!

Kind of unrelated topic but does anyone live close to washington dc? we are planning a trip there in mid august and i am curious as to how busy things get there at that time frame....i know it wont compare to the cruise at all.


i did type some more up on the trip report just havent gotten it posted yet. will do that after work today. Has it been just me or is everyone busier now that vacation is over?? seems like i am constantly trying to get caught up on things. we are trying to get ready for a garage sale the first week of july and the trip to dc mid august and working 7 day weeks on top of that plus dh has been working off and on alot since getting back home. at least picking up the extra overtime with work is helping pay off vacation faster so we can start saving faster for the next one..

I have to admit I have been looking at a trip for next year. The Diser LoveableGlutten told me about a neat all inclusive place just south of Cancun that is whole lot cheaper than others. It has tours to Xcaret also and close to Tulum so that may be our next trip.

i haven't even gotten around to messing with my pcitures yet.been trying to keep up with my trip report first.. yeah we are doing washington dc not the state.. it just came up here in the past week though on that one. was suposed to do a rally there but dh has to work that day so we will miss the rally but still pan on checking out the area since i will loose the money on the timeshare if i cancel now. might do a white house tour and other things if possible. my sinuses are still bugging me..thinking i need to move and work on the disney cruise line where they never bothered me.

I'll pm you the links. Let me look them up again. It's just across from Cozumel and we loved how warm and blue the water was there, so this sounds like a nice trip. Plus we just love Mexico!

they say is the peak season from may - end of august..we are going august 18 so close to school starting again. oh well..whats another trip to plan.. just need to get the notes going soon but just not into doing it yet.. i did finish amber's playroom finally. only took me 2 weeks.. tomorrow is the filing cabinet overhaul. ok i think i need disney cruise again... just working way to hard here.

got me chuckling on that clock..i havent seen it either other then the one on our entertainment center.. did you call disney cruise line about it?? maybe someone on the boards here that is going soon can grab one for you and mail it to you.

It's not just kids though, I'm doing the same thing..."In 4 years?...GEEZ! Although It will take that long to have some money! I am thinking about getting a real job that pays! I love real estate but it is soooo slow and my mortgage company won't take an IOU Can't stand being poor, it takes away from my social life!!!
