Hello everyone, we just returned from the Dream on Sunday. We had a great time and now that's it's over I can start getting ready for the next one. Which has brought me to this meet ;)
Our group is
April (me), Jeff (DH), Marcia (DMIL) Elizabeth (DD age 7) and Parker (DS 16months at sailing). This will be Disney cruise #4 for myself DH & DD. #2 for DMIL and DS. I will update with our room numbers (we have two that are connecting on deck 6).
We would like to participate in FE's and also the room tours. We saw several room types on the Dream when doors were open for cleaning!
Looking forward to talking to and meeting everyone soon!
April (jfahome).

:welcome: to the cruise April and family.

Glad to see another family joining our happy group.
I'll put you on the FE list, and are you intrested in joining in on the room tour and letting us see your room??? The more different roon types the better. It's a good way to decide on what type of room we would like to try out for the next cruuise!!:cool1:

And welcome again!:grouphug:

Yes Annie, we'll join the room tour. 6190 & 6192. These rooms are the same type, connecting though.
Also I read (I believe) that someone is in a 12th deck room? We had a fE on our cruise last week that was on deck 12 and there is a gate to those rooms. We were lucky and it was open when we went to drop off FE's but not sure how often they are open. Does anyone know? And how could we get the FE's to them if it's locked?

We could do it in disguise!!! Just got some pirate outfits!pirate: DH and I think we look fantastic but DD thinks we are hilarious!

Kim:)

Oooooo what an idea... Have a Priate Night! Ya think it will go???:rotfl2:

Ive got to get a new outfit!

Without going back to a detailed map... what cat are they?
Hmmmm... that might be a problem with the FE's.

Anyone else know the answer???

Annie:laundy:

I don't know what cat they were. I just know they were on the 12th deck. Like I said, we were lucky when we went there the gates were open on one side. Had the family been on the other side we wouldn't have been able to get to them. Curious to see if anyone else knows.

Welcome April :cheer2: Glad to see you join our group. :wave2: We ended up on this sailing because we were on the Dream in July :thumbsup2

Not sure what the answer is to the Deck 12 question, hopefully someone will know as I'm sure this happens fairly frequently with FE groups.

Can't wait for our cruise!! :goodvibes We are going with family to WDW in November, so I have a mouse-date upcoming, but nothing beats a cruise for sheer relaxation.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

We are heading to WDW in November also, 11-18.

Some exciting news. My 11 year old dd tried out for the Nutcracker at a local Performing Arts High School and got two parts!! Thankfully we are still able to go on our WDW trip, but remember I was going back and forth between this cruise and Nov 12 cruise. I am going to have to ax the Nov 2012 cruise as I am sure she is going to want to try out again for Nutcracker and I doubt they will be so lenient about her missing a week of practice in November. She is really excited and so am I.:banana:

Alaska was great. I will post a few pics from my cruise here as soon as I get home.

Anyone decide on excursions yet?

At St. Thomas, we always just go to Magens Bay on our own. We love it there!!

We are still undecided for St. Martin. I know that we would like to do the Butterfly Farm, but not sure what else. We aren't really wanting to shop, and we were trying to think of something other than just going to the beach. Maybe Coral Reef...

Is there anywhere where I can find the actual times for the Disney excursions?

We were wondering about the excursions ourselves. After listening to Pete on the podcast talk about how much he enjoyed doing the ABD add-on for Alaska, does anyone know if they will (or already do) offer this for our cruise?
If not, what do you deem to be the best excursion for the price? Since we are not bringing the kids, I want to experience each island, not just the tourist area they want me to experience!
Really looking forward to this trip. Just got back from WDW a week and 1 day ago. Nice trip but was filled with parents and in-laws (and rain)!

Anyone decide on excursions yet?

We want to go to St John but haven't decided on anything yet, although one of the catamaran tours has made the short list. St. Martin still undecided too as we are not shoppers, but probably wouldn't want to do just a beach day either, although beach with a drink in your hand? Can you really go wrong?? :beach: :cloud9:

Ok. Here goes....I'm a virgin...first Disney Cruise and first time posting on a forum!
This is a great idea! Booked our trip a few months back. Traveling with DH, DS (8&6), and my parents. This is our 2nd cruise as a family, but all of the adults have been on quite a few (including the big red boat from way back when).
I'm a Disney nut, so I'm looking forward to picking up some cruise tips from all of the pros on here! Can't wait til may 5th to set sail!!!

:welcome::jumping1: Welcome! Glad that you decided to say hello :thumbsup2 This will be our third cruise, all have been with DCL, so we are not cruise experts by any means, but you'll find a bunch of good info specific to DCL here. I can't wait to see the new ship, we sailed on the Dream in July and it was still so new and beautiful, I am excited to see how similar the Fantasy will be and if they make any substantial changes.

Anyone decide on excursions yet?

Not too sure for St Maarten... might do the 12 metre regatta again.
That's a blast!!! And a bit of shopping
St Thomas... Capt. Nautica is pure fun. Just a small group to uncrowded locations. And a bit of shopping...
Castaway... a nice lounger with an umbrella ... snorkle and fins will travel:thumbsup2

Hmmm... shopping, there's a theme there:rotfl2:
