May 5, 2011 Disney Dream Meet Up

Hi Everyone

This will be my family's first cruise ever. We are very excited; however, I am a little nauseated when in smaller boats. Any recommendations for the first time cruiser who doesn't want to spoil our first cruise.

Hi and Welcome! I also get really seasick and didn't have a problem at all when we cruised on the Wonder in Jan 2010. I did wear the wristbands the first day/night and I had Bonine for naseau which I never ended up taking. I think we had pretty calm seas even though I do remember the first night when we were walking up the stairs in the theater, I was a little wobbly but so was another lady. She said it looked like she was drunk but hadn't drank anything! But even with that movement, I still never felt sick. I would come prepared with anti-naseau meds and maybe the wrist bands and anything else that may help and hopefully you won't need any of them. (me too!);)

Thanks for the help for the seasickness. I am new to this whole cruise thing. What's a FE and why am I seeing people asking to be signed up for it? Sorry, I'm a newbie.

Sorry guys, we wont be joining you on this cruise, switched to May 26th cruise since it is the end of school year. I hope you all have a happy safe journey:)

Hi everyone,

we are joining this cruise - me, my husband, daughter (6) and son (4).
It will be our first cruise ever, I can´t wait :yay:
Searching for as many info as I can, so find this Thread .
Love the Fish extender game

Thanks, Amy!!! It's exciting! I saw your post about the hardships you've had and this cruise being a celebration. Good for you! Looking forward to spending it with you! It's going to be great!

We are so excited!!! We actually just had a little medical set back last week, but things are looking good now :) Looks like our cruise is sold out.... hope we can jump on board early to try and reserve a cabana! (DS can't be in the sun for hours on end) but either way we are super excited that it's only 2 months away!!!!!!!!

Glad things are looking good. I'm in concierge so I've already booked a cabana. I hope you get one too. Remind me when it gets closer and I'll tell you my cabana number...so you can find me if you have one too. :) I have no idea off the top of my head what number it is.

If you don't get a cabana, you could always go back to the ship...I hear it is empty and on the 3-night cruises, one of the best times to be on the ship. I've debated about canceling the cabana for this very reason. We live 20 minutes from the beach so my kids are at the beach all the time...but they've never been on a ship...I don't know which they will enjoy more??? Hmmmm..... Then again, I hear CC is great!

I know what you mean! The cabanas would be perfect, but if not we've already been scouting for places in the shade. (looks like there is a covered seating area near cookies and a few shops too) Plus with so much to do on the ship I know the kids will be excited either way!

Thank you! Sweet, btw! I graduated from Englewood High in 2007, if you know where that is :confused3 Yay, this is exciting! It will be my 7th Disney Cruise and my moms 6th...she's a little jealous

I do know where Englewood is. I am older than you. I graduated from Wolfson in 1993...okay, I'm a lot older than you. This is our first Disney cruise. It will be fun!!

ewww, Wolfson...Our rivals! haha...Yeah, I'm young, I know lol It's still gonna be a lot of fun. Has there been a decision about everyone meeting up or anything besides FE?

Thank you. I have participated in FE exchanges before but my mom hasn't so we might do it. Not 100% sure yet :goodvibes

We'd love to have you if y'all like to. It doesn't look like the list is too long and the deadline to sign up is in 2 or so weeks...so I doubt it grows too much. All of that to say -- it should be a fun commitment that isn't too overwhelming! :cool1:

i'm a newbie and it won't let me send a private message to the person that does FE until i post 10 times! i do have a question but if JSCLEMENSON fan can contact me somehow (It won't let me put my email address) so i can join the fe!

here's my question: what kind of water can we buy onboard--only Evian? i know weird question
