The buds haven't opened up here in Southern Germany yet, it is just now warming up. Seems as though the pollen was quite bad last May though. It is my DH who suffers, though, so my memory about it isn't clear.

OMG here too! I actually had to scrape the ice of my windshield this morning. Sickening!!

I work for a doctor and have been doing prescriptions for LOTS of hayfever meds lately so it must be starting to get bad.

Oh, PS I finally got my cruise doc's today!

Thanks for the pollen updates! I'll definitely be bringing my daughter's Claritin. Sounds colder than I was thinking (ice on the windshield!). Need to check Paris weather again...Of course, I always seem to end up "needing" to buy clothes on a trip. Odd how that happens...

I was wondering about allergies in Europe as well. I feel like the pollen has been much worse here this year. One nice thing is, on a cruise, my allergies don't seem to bother me as much.

A friend sent me a random travel tip the other day that I would not have thought of... She said that when you call your American Credit Card company to notify them you will be overseas, be sure to ask for the number to call while overseas should something happen to your card, because some 800 numbers may not work unless you use a calling card. I wouldn't have thought of that.

My husband said that yesterday on their flight back, a retired vet was flying Space A and had just gotten off the Magic in Cadiz. He said he had to get off there because he was planning to rent a car in Barcelona and drive to the Base in Rota and fly Space Available back to the States, but that the rental car company cancelled his reservation because of all the craziness.. So he got off a few days early. My husband was like, we're going to be onboard in 2 weeks! Small world, huh?

well the allergies here in Gibraltar are quite bad everybody in my office was complaining about the same thing, and my friend who works in a pharmacy was saying that loads of tourists from the disney magic came in for allergy pulls and the weather is quite wierd this morning it was pouring and really ugly but wasnt cold and this afternoon its really sunny. so i really dont know what to pack lolol

For us Americans, the euro is down to 1.33 now (thank you Greece!). However, to get this rate you must use your atm or credit card as currency dealers will charge you 1.45 or higher. The american express office near my house wants 1.46 as of today! Anyway, I prepaid my hotel months ago and called them up recently to switch cards to capital one as they are the only card that will not charge you a 3% transaction fee. So I got back about $100 in foreign transaction fees and the drop of the euro vs the dollar.

I love that we have our own site. Today was the first time I really looked at out Facebook site and was surprised to see 27 members, but I don't know if those are people looking or actually going. I can't wait to meet you all!!!

Hi every one!
I was looking to book this cruise (was booked to go to Thailand but it was canceled due to the stuff going on in Bangkok) I was wondering if there are any openings still for palo brunch and dinner?
Also would a flight that gets in at 8am on the 5th be an ok time?

I imagine that if you can make it onto the ship early enough, you can always ask to see if Palo has any openings. At this point, all the pre-board reservations are gone.

I think more than a few people are arriving day-of. If you book your own flight, don't expect Disney to hold the ship for you if some volcano somewhere decides to spout-off...

Cat 12's are still available at $2,105.78 for 2. Can't believe it's more than double ($4,505.78) for Cat 11...

Less than 2 weeks to go!!!!

Yea, but if you book a cat 11 you will get a veranda most likely while if you book cat 12gty you will get anywhere from cat 8 to cat 10.

Several of us on the 5/15 cruise booked a Cat 12 and got upgraded to Cat. 6 verandah rooms. Others booking Cat. 12 didn't get an upgrade. Others got Cat. 11, 10 and 9. There was an individual that booked at Cat. 11 and got NO upgrade. She was so upset she canceled the cruise and the one she'd booked later in the year. There really is no rhyme or reason to upgrades.

I would be so upset as well if I booked a cat 11 and got stuck with an 11 while people booking 12's are getting 7's or better. I think if they are going to take someone with a 12 and put them in a 7 or better the very least they should do the same with people who paid double that for an 11. Imagine paying over 2k for an 11 and getting stuck with an 11 while someone else paid 1k for a 12 and got a veranda.

The upgrade situation is frustrating when you know what others got! I'm perfectly happy with the deal I got for booking onboard. We really wanted a cat. 4 and I wanted to pick the room so we weren't under the pool. Lots of "I wants" there! We, obviously, didn't get an upgrade at all, which is totally fine with me. I'm sure a lot of the 12 upgrades are people with parties of 4 that have to be upgraded to a larger room. I think they also have to consider lifeboats when they put say 3 adults vs. 4 adults in a different room. Sure, it stings a bit when someone gets an awesome upgrade and you didn't, but I think the lesson is to book what you'd be happy with and hope for the best. I can't imagine getting so mad I'd cancel a cruise or two! Yikes.

We leave tomorrow for Paris! I think I'm finally beginning to believe it is happening. It is all so surreal. I've been planning this for so long and now its finally happening!

I agree with you. If you buy a 12 or an 11, you have to accept that you just may get that, like it or not. I do not know how disney dishes out their upgrades but I do know is that it seems to be quite unfair. You can't book an 11 and expect a 7 but if you see other people that booked a 12 and are getting 7's then I sure would be quite upset if they handed me an 11, wouldn't you?. Don't know if I would cancel a cruise over it, but I sure would not be very happy about it. Anyway, Have a safe flight to Paris.
