So has it been decided when/if we will all meet up? I am really excited about meeting all of you!

So has it been decided when/if we will all meet up? I am really excited about meeting all of you!

My vote was for Wed., but I haven't seen anyone else like that idea. Most likely because of the timing for boarding, dinner and sail away. So if Thurs. is the popular choice, I vote for 2pm. Gives everyone a chance to get done with brunch/lunch and tea doesn't start for another hour, 3pm.

We have spa in the AM and tea in the afternoon, so 2pm would work well for us :)

I think Wed. will be too hectic for us. We proabably won't board until late and then will be unpacking and getting ready for dinner so I think 2pm on Thursday sounds good.

On another note does anyone won't to do the e-mail thing wiht the kids. I'm happy to set it up. I know my kids would like to do it. Alternatly we could just do it as another board and then the kids could post intro's as they wish.

Yep, Jeff has done a FANTASTIC job of organizing all the tons of info into a very usable and useful website for us! He's been a wealth of information, too. :thumbsup2

I finally broke down and bought "cruise clothes." I needed stuff that would mix and match, pack well and not take up a bunch of space. Apparently, looking for that in my closet was simply too taxing. So, now I have new clothes! Lots of 3/4 sleeves...I get cold in those dining rooms! Still not sure about formal night. I see people on the other cruises talking about wearing tuxes and military dress uniforms...I will probably not be that dressed up! Maybe a cocktail dress. But then, do I want to cart a cocktail dress around Europe for 1 night? No, I do not. I don't want to be totally out of place either. Guess it will depend on how much room is in the suitcase. I'm packing my stuff and my daughter's in one rolling duffel, so I don't have a huge amount of space. Cocktail dress may get the boot.

I've read that the temps in the Med can be quite variable that time of year. Were the evenings onboard chilly? I plan to bring a longsleeve shirt and a lightweight jacket and hope that is enough for warmth - I can't stand to be cold.

We always pack a sweater/pullover/swaetshirt, even when we go to the Bahamas. It can get windy up on the top deck speeding along at 18 knots!

Pack the cocktail dress!! Roll it up into a little roll ;). You can wear it formal night, semi-formal night and any time to Palo....that is 3 nights right there. No worries if you don't bring it, you will still fit in, but I think you will enjoy having it along.

I agree! I have a little black dress that packs pretty well. I wear it for everything! It's sleeveless, so what I do is pair it with different color cardigans. It's obviously the same dress, but it changes the look a little :rolleyes1 I do the same thing with pants and shoes, just pack a few pairs that can mix and match with different tops. My husband is deciding if he's going to bring his uniform, but he's not sure yet. (It would only be for dinner on formal nights on board, he would not be wearing it off the ship or anything like that.) I always bring a jacket or sweater too, because it gets chilly on board in the theatres too.

I would love to do a meet as well. Anything is fine with me. I would have voted for embarkation day, but now who knows when we'll get onboard with those crazy flights, lol! I'm fine with Thursday as well :goodvibes

Thanks to Jeff on the May 15th sailing

As I contemplate our first cruise, can't help but think about the "Love Boat" wth Doc, Julie and Gopher...
We're hoping to meet people on Thurs...was someone organizing a tea?
Bought new suitcases for the kids (it's time they haul their own stuff age 7 & 4) and they are packed and ready to go!
I am thinking capris are the way to go for the iffy weather.

I am putting together a website for us. If you guys post or pm your info, I will make a list of us. Also, let me know if you have any ideas for the site. I am primarily putting port info that I have been researching (like attractions and train tickets etc), but can add whatever you all like.

Awesome, Kaleigh. Thanks. Probably already planning this but info on nights (activities, shows, meals) would be neat to see.

Wow, that would be great! I agree that being able to see some kind of schedule would be helpful. I don't know if we have all that info, though some of it can probably be cobbled together from other threads' websites. It will be nice to have it all in one place!

Tunis-?
Naples-Pompeii
Rome- Train to Rome, Ancient Sites mixed with a visit to a park which has a zoo in it for the kids.
La Spezia-staying along the coast-we have already spent time in Florence & Pisa.

VilleFranche- Somewhere along the coast maybe Nice
Dinner Seating: Early
Palo: Tuesday Night
Celebrations: Every day!
Barcelona Plans: Flying in on Wednesday morning arriving around 12ish. Leaving immediately after cruise for a lunchtime flight.
FE: decided against it as I know I will be weighing my suitcases & having to take things out as I’m over the weight limit (it’s the same for every holiday!)

Hi there
Not sure if this is an appropriate topic but is anyone else a bit worried about their non potty trained children not being able to use the pool? My daughter turned 2 last week and wants to do everything her 4 year old brother does!
Do you think the splash area is enough to keep the little ones occupied or should I have a serious attempt to potty train her in the next few weeks in the hope that she can join her brother in the pool?
T

Obviously am still working on it, but here is what I have so far. If you want your info on here, just post it to this thread. Also, if you want me to add something, just let me know. If you would like a picture with your info, I can do that too.

Am looking to try and figure out nights/activities. I can cobble together a best guess based on previous cruises and the 11 night itinerary if you guys don't mind that. Hope you all like what I have so far. I have never done a website before, so be kind. :surfweb:
