May 4th - Epcot Restaurants closed???

Now I understand why there's a gap in performances on 5/5 and 5/6 for the flower power concert series. I'll assume they're using American Gardens for a private function or something associated with the celebration.

Thanks for the info. I had not even realized this. All of the puzzle pieces are coming together. Just to add more to the mix. I was on the passholder website today and there is a press event scheduled for MGM on May 4th. Not sure what time or how it will affect MGM. They are running a contest for 50 APholders to win. The prize is to be able to attend the press event with one guest at MGM...wow. Looks like there might not be too much for us to do those nights. Maybe they'll keep AK open until 9:00PM for us, or MK will be REAL crowded those nights.

They have now released Flower Power concerts for May 5-6
'Vanilla Fudge' (I have no idea who they are) are playing on those nights, so there is a sign that Epcot WILL be open.
When I spoke with Disney Dining I was told that a lot of restaurants are closed for press event but during different hours, so it looks like the restaurants are hosting the events and might not close the parks.

Man, this has got me all stressed out now :rotfl:
So it looks like Epcot might close early on the 4th, and MGM on the 5th right? (Based on speculations thus far)
