Who knows how long this will turn out to be - but here goes!

Cast - Me, DH and DD 4

We are from California so we flew in two days early for the Land/Sea package. Got in late Tuesday night and stayed at CBR for two nights (hotel only). Nice hotel. Stayed at the pool most of Wednesday.

My husband did the Richard Petty Driving School and loved it.

Switched to the Poly on Thursday morning - not a total hassle - just had to get a cab. They had our room ready at 7:00 am and we checked in and put our bags down. Went straight to Magic Kingdom.

Had a great time at the parks - a couple of highlights:
Got picked to be in the parade at Animail Kingdom
Was the fastest finger at Who Wants to be a Millionaire - got to be in the hot seat.
Loved all the characters - especially the Storybook Princess breakfast.

Booked transfers with Happy Limo. Very competitively priced. When we went out of Poly to transfer to the Ship - we were surprised at the upgrade to a stretch Limo! My DD was so EXCITED!

Overall - I would reccomend Happy Limo and use them again.

Got to the ship at 11:30 - boarded at 12:15.

Had lunch - great shrimp! Dopey came to our table.

I headed straight to Palo and spa reservations after lunch - about 1:30. Got both - no problem.

DISSAPOINTMENT! Went to excursion desk to book scuba. We were told that they were NOT doing scuba at Casaway Cay - only on 7 day Magic - BUMMER!!!! I called before we left California to ask about availablility and was told there were openings, even gave me the times - and could have booked then but didn't. Not sure if they cancelled or what?

Had Cat 6 with Verandah - did not think it was small - plenty of room. We were in an ajoining room (with someone we did not know). Will NOT do that again - could hear everything from that room - nothing from the one on the other side.

Went to the pool - DD could have stayed all day! Checked her into the "kids club" as she called it.
My DD LOVED the kids club. She would have been in there the whole time if we would have let her!

Got off in Nassau - my DH bought a nice watch - got a good deal.
Went to strawmart - HOT! Worth a stroll through.

Did not get off in Freeport. Did Surial bath instead - DH loved it!

Ate at Palo - GREAT food - by far the best on the ship - worth the $5. Exceptional service!

Loved the Wavebands lounge. Got picked to do Gloria Gaynor lipsync and DH did YMCA without a shirt! FUN!

Castaway Cay is beautiful - same as comment as everyone else - need more time there.

Overall - next time will not do WDW - just cruise. DD does not like the rides and it is too exausting! We are thinking of a 7 day western next year.

I am sure there is a TON that I forgot - We did not have time to do everything we wanted. So much to do!
Loved Disney Dreams - REALLY well done show.

Had a wonderful time!

This board helped me with so much! Thanks!

Glad to hear you had a great time, my girlfriend and I leave Saturday May, 30th and can't wait. I have a question about getting from the airport to CBR, How did you get there through Happy Limo or Cab.? and How did you get back from Port canaveral to the airport??? what time was your flight home?

:D :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We went from MCO to CBR and from Port Canavaral to MCO both with Happy Limo.

They were on time at both pick ups.

Our return flight was at 12:00 pm - and we had PLENTY of time to get off the boat and drive to MCO. The town car was there at 9:00 am and we got to the airport at 10:00 - 10:15. No bags to check - already did it at the port - just had to go to the gate and wait on the plane.

Would you recommend where your dh bought his watch in Nassau? I keep hearing about the terrible straw markets, but would love to hear about some decent places to shop in the area! ;)

The place we bought the watch was Soloman Mines. It is on the main drag with all the other stores. The people were very nice and the store was also very nice.

He got an Omega watch. It was on sale. With that and no tax - he saved roughly $1000.00. I think this is an unusual savings, but they said their prices are always about 20% under U.S. retail and then of course no tax. This particular style is not going to be made any longer - but it is the one that my husband had been looking for and still has the warranty like any other style.

The best thing to do is know your prices before you go. We did not know the price before we went, but had an idea of what they went for. When we got back, did the research and found out how much we saved.

They had basically any brand of watch you would be looking for. Just figure out the style or brand you are looking for and know about what they go for here.

We did not think that the diamond prices were any better than you would find in the states if you shopped around.

There was a lady next to us that was looking at a 5 carat diamond for $35,000.00!!!! I couldn't beleive it! Don't know if she bought it or not!

Have fun!!

Thanks for the reply! I will be prepared before we go! ;)
