May 4, 2013 Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Yeah, I knew about 5150 and 5650 have the especially large verandas, but they weren't available when we booked. I was just randomly goofing around on the DCL website checking to see if the prices had gone up and I saw that 5150 was available so I called my travel agent right away and grabbed it. Yay! I'm bummed to be be on the starboard side again, but I think the size of the veranda will make for it. Who knows? Maybe our trip will be one of the rare occasions when the ship pulls into CC instead of backing in...;)

I thought the starboard side was the side with the best view of Castaway Cay???? One of the other threads said:
"At Castaway Cay - the ship usually docks stern first - thus the starboard side provides the best view of the island."

Hi everyone!! It's been awhile since I've been on the thread (as in a few months) I can't wait to catch up on what's been going on and seeing new members on our upcoming cruise.

I've been a little sick recently  but am getting to the feeling better part.

Counting down the days - is it time to sail yet?

My sister and I would love to be added to the roll call

Elizabeth (28)
Michelle (30)

Long Island, NY

Late Dining

No stateroom yet :) Thanks

I am also thrilled to say that my parents have now decided to join us! They haven't put down their deposit so no stateroom number yet. I'll add that later. They are first time cruisers so I am looking forward to seeing their reaction to such a wonderful vacation!

My oldest daughter will be 7 at Cruise time... she'd love to get to know some girls her own age before getting on the cruise if you're interested.

I'm sure both of my daughters would love getting to know your daughter. :) I can give you my email and cell # so the girls cab chat a bit beforehand.

How far in advance will we be told ages/sexes/numbers/names of participants?

Are we assigned a specific day to deliver the gifts?

Should the gift be unisex for kids or can it be more personalized?

We have not set a specific delivery time for the gifts. I would like to keep it open so that you can deliver the gifts when you have a chance. On the last cruise most people delivered them within the first three days.

It is up to you if you want to make on gift for all the kids or make it more personalized. Right now we have a small group so it would be easier to make personalized gifts for all the kids.

It's been a while since I've gotten on this board to post anything. What are you all looking forward to most?

I would have to say my favorite things about DCL is the shows, Deck 4, and all the yummy drinks!

I am so looking forward to relaxing!!!:woohoo: I am looking forward to spending alone time with my husband:woohoo: and I am especially looking forward to eating meals that I don't have to cook!!!!:cheer2: But, as strange as this may sound, I am really looking forward to the beds and bedding!!!! I swear that the week I was on the Wonder last year, was the first time in years I slept through the night ( I know, my husband complains that we're spending all this money and all I can talk about is the bedding)! What can I say, it doesn't take much to make me happy! You can bet that I will be the first person in line at the ship store ready to buy my Frette sheets:rotfl2::rotfl2: I already have it figured in my budget!LOL

On our last Disney Cruise we just did random gifting. People did some really original crafts. Sometime they just got a couple pieces of candy. They also got door magnets, pirate bookmarks, braclets, notebooks & pencils, etc . It was always a surprise and the kids LOVED it!! The cruise cast members would even leave little presents.

I'm looking forward to the "DRINK OF THE DAY", soaking up the sun, reading some good books, hanging with the fam and watching the kids have a great time!!

Hi! Just booked this cruise. We were on the April 20th cruise but changed to this one. We are spending a day at MK on friday before the cruise since my kids have off school May 3.
I am intersted in doing Fish Extending, how do I get on the list?
This is our first Disney cruise and first cruise ever for my children. Very excited to be joining you!
Oh cruising will be me (jill) DH (Bob) Max (7), Anna (6) and Harrison (4)
Our room is 7116.
They only had late dining available and our kids are used to going to bed early. So I am on waiting list for early. Experienced cruisers with small childrenm is late dining better b/c of the dine and play?
Also as far as excursions, I haven't booked any yet but was wondering it it's just as easy to get a cab to the beach. The kids might enjoy that more given their ages.

Can big kids join in FE? Or is it really something more for the little guys? I've already brainstormed what I'm going to give to the kids as FE gifts, but is it bad form for a couple of twenty-somethings to have our own extender?
