Hey there,

As for the stateroom number, you can log onto disneycruise.com and check your reservation details and it should be there. Have you logged on to many any excursion or Palo reservations yet? All you need is your reservation number, your TA can give that to you.

We had a Cat. 10 Guarantee and found out about 2 weeks ago. However, Disney didn't contact me to give me that information... which I found really odd. The only way I found out was through the site...

I had read where people said to log into the site I have logged in every day to Disneycruise.com for the last two weeks hoping it would be there. It hasn't shown up yet. It still says guaranteed no room number.

But maybe they are making their way down to me. We're cheap we booked a category 12 guaranteed stateroom. They let you book it for 4 people but it only holds 3 then they upgrade you to an 11 at least. There are only 13 of these rooms on the ship. If you found out, maybe it won't be too much longer before I find out.

I'll call my TA also to see what she can tell me. She's got me waitlisted for main dining but I really don't want main dining. My kids are older and I don't want to have to rush back from excursions to get ready for dinner.

Actually, I just logged in to see what is available to book for our cruise and there are only Cat. 4 & 5 left. There were some 10s, 7s, and 12s previously. So, I'm guessing that booking in the lower Cats are going to slow down soon and you'll get an assignment!!!!!!!!!!

But what time is everyone getting to Port? Seems from main forum that there are fors and againsts getting there early versus the 1pm idea?

I would rather get there later when my stateroom is ready. I don't like hanging around the ship with my carry-ons. We are taking Disney transportation from the Polynesian so we shouldn't get to the port too early.

We're getting there early---probably between 10 and 10:30. Once we get onboard, we'll probably just park ourselves and our carry-ons at the pool until our stateroom is ready.

We will be there promptly at 10:00 most likely with carry-ons, C-pap machine and probably a laptop in tow.

I look at it this way, my vacation starts as soon as I hit the terminal and I want to maximize my time on the ship.

Besides, I have to head out to get our Palo reservation worked out and possibly try to get our dining changed if it doesn't get changed prior to boarding.

We plan on a leisurely lunch at Parrot Cay and a fruity drink on deck before heading to our cabins.

How many days till I can have a Konk Kooler????

Thanks for the optimism! I had also looked to see what was available and it didn't seem like much.

After I read your post I didn't bother calling my TA but maybe I'll just email her to make sure I'm not waitlisted for main dining. My luck not wanting it, I'd get it. Other than that I guess I'll just have to wait. My husband says we'll have a room right, yes, well then what difference does it make? It doesn't, I'm just curious.

Can I make a suggestion on that, too? I read through the "fish tag" game mentioned in other posts and it just seems too complicated to me. Can we just do a simple surprise exchange? We each choose a time, whenever we have a free block of time, to deliver our surprises to everyone's FEs. This seems so much simpler than trying to set up a complicated delivery schedule or game. What do you guys think? That way we would all get surprise deliveries at odd times.

Also, I'm thinking a small goodie bag full of little trinkets, nothing too spendy. One for each family member? And just once during the cruise, not every day or anything like that.

What do you think?

I agree. I think the participants should just be able to pick a time that works for them to deliver the goodies.

I have updated the Roll Call on page 47 with the FE participants. So far only 2 have piped up. I am still wavering. I have all the stuff to make the FE so now I just have to do it. I also am still trying to figure out what to give. That is the hard part.

Being one of the two participant, I would agree! I plan on delivering once, and it would be hard to know in advance exactly what day/time I'm going to be able to do this. Just little fun tokens to make it more exiting.
Can those who are participating try to notify ASAP so we can make sure to have enough to do all our deliveries?

I'm still wavering about the FEs as well, but I'll let you guys know as soon as I know...

Maybe I'll get creative this weekend, but I'm not sure. I have to work an extra "week" between now and the cruise so that I get paid for the cruise week. I'm up to 23 hours... So, I have to do an extra 15-20... I'll be busy!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what time we'll get to the terminal, being our first cruise and the fact that we won't check into the hotel until 11 pm the night before... I'm not so sure. Like I said, we're staying at the Hyatt... so, I guess we have our choice of whatever busses are going whenever... I think... I guess I'll find out at check in. There is also breakfast included and I want to take full advantage of that.

The only thing I am concerned with is Palo brunch... I LOVE brunch and we really want to do it, and I couldn't get a ressie online. What do you think my chances are of getting one once we board? Although we have a Palo dinner, we may cancel if we get the brunch.....

We still have quite a bit of shopping left to do! What about you guys? DH is going to get a jacket of some sort to wear to formal night... I need a few pairs of shorts and some skirts... I'm thinking of getting another dress... maybe a bathing suit... this is so fun!

Don't get too hung up on the details! I've heard people have just hung paper gift bags over the fish for their FEs. I lucked out and someone advertised they had an extra FE that they were willing to send to someone. I PM'd her thinking that it would already be spoken for, but it wasn't I tried to pay for it, but she wouldn't hear of it. She didn't even send her name in the package, so I can't even write a check or anything! That was REALLY nice of her. Now I have to figure out a way to personalize it so it doesn't walk away. I have thought about sending her a JoAnns gift card since she's obviously a sewer. But I don't know if they have JoAnne's everywhere.

Previously I thought it would be fun to take some old jeans and use the back pockets to make a FE. Wouldn't that be fun?

However...DH has spent some time with me today catching up on what it all means..and is quite interested in the concept, so hopefully we will let you all know as soon as possible!

On an even more positive note..I have by chance realised we will be in Disney for Pirates and Princess party dates and have secured two tickets today for May 21st!
We will either be reviving our pirate themed outfits from the cruise....or heaven forbid could I possibly be a 51yr old with a princess Tiara? Maybe not lol

Ooh that is a cute idea. I have saved some old blue jeans because I love Levi's back pockets. I just hated to get rid of them. hmmm.....

I can't believe it! I just got my fish extender---three days after I ordered it on ebay, totally personalized with my choice of colors and our family's names. I have to say, it is really beautiful! What a nice piece of work. I highly recommend it for anyone who was debating whether or not to get it. The link is on one of my posts about three pages back. Anyway, I'm pretty excited.
I got our rolling cooler today, too. So that was exciting, and started picking up supplies for my first aid/emergency kit.
I also found a really hot pair of dressy sandals to wear with my dress for formal night. I wore the same dress to DH's company Christmas party with satin pumps with a rhinestone encrused buckle, but I refuse to wear nylons on a warm weather vacation, so these sandals will do the trick!
I can't wait!
