I thought I'd provide some quick information that most people (including me) were asking about the AK cruises.... **I know a lot has been answered, but many want to know if things are changing much cruise to cruise... So anyhow-

***We had the rotation: TAPTAPT. Tues-cruise casual/rotational menu. Wed-formal night. Thur-Tracy Arm/cruise casual/rotational menu. Fri- Skagway/cruise casual/Taste of AK menu. Sat-Juneau/Pirate night/rotational menu. Sun- Ketchikan/Semi-formal. Mon- Farewell dinner/cruise casual. I thought the food was good at the main dining as well as the other places through out the ship. We enjoyed a seafood buffet at both Parrot Cay and BBB (on diff days). Our character breakfast was for the first sea day/Wed.

***Tracy Arm Fjord: We got a good bit in, but were stopped by baby sea lions. I think they announced with out the sea lions, we could have went another mile and a half. We still got a great view; it was beautiful. Tons of ice bergs and waterfalls on the way in as well. Seen two bald eagles towards the end of the fjord as well. They had the grills out, but only for a few hours. We started into the fjord noonish and the top deck was very full of people. Deck 9 was full; but you could still find a seat. The kids club opened up during Tracy Arm at the basketball court and I took the kids there. Then I could go to the basically empty adult area to enjoy the views. I went to deck 7 aft when we went to turn around to get views as leaving, but they were not nearly as good as the views on the front top of the ship when we entered the fjord. Tracy Arm day was a warm day for us and gloves and stuff were not really needed at all....

***Port arrival: We booked a 10:30am shuttle with our hotel to take us to cruise terminal. We were dropped off by 11am and entered what appeared to be a long line, but moved super quickly. We were given boarding #8. The seats seemed all taken once into the waiting area, but then we found a ton of empty chairs over by where they have the kids club registration. Mickey was out for pics, and the line was short (maybe it got long later? but there was no line when we went). Boarding started right at 11:45am and our boarding #8 was called shortly after noon. The line to get on the ship took a little bit; but I think we were completely on board by 12:30. Our plan had been to eat top deck and let kids swim, but it was COLD and rainy- so we went to BBB instead.

***Disembarking: We got the chip and dale yellow tags and were the first character tag called (due to having 11:30am flight). We had 7:15ambreakfast. We were told our character tag would be called by 7:45am. before than people carrying off their own luggage were allowed to leave whenever. They were late calling luggage tags and it was about 8:15am before we actually got off the ship. We went through US customs and then collected our bags. the bags were pretty easy to find. They gave us free luggage carts to use. There are NO porters. We walked the luggage over to the disney bus/transfers and the bus driver loaded the luggage in for us. It was all easy peasy. The Vancouver airport also provides free luggage carts once you get there.
