A little about my family and this trip: 2 adults and a boy (8) and girl (5). This would be a “once in a lifetime” trip to Disneyland as we don’t anticipate being able to return any time soon. Hopefully, we’ll be able to take the kids to Disneyworld when they’re a little older! We wanted to do as much as possible while spending the least money necessary. I reviewed specific services and tools we used in bold below. In the next post I'll give a run-through of each day because that would’ve helped me get a little perspective into crowds and what all could be done in a day. This board has been so helpful and I wanted to give back a little! We arrived May 31, spent 5 days in the park, one non park day with character meal and half day cabana rental, and left on June 6 around 2pm.

David's Vacation Club Rentals: added our name in the queue early to be booked 7 months out when GCV opened for all DVC members...we had no problem booking the reservation. David’s staff was professional and answered all my many questions quickly (within 24 hours via email). I added a room request about a month out and they did it without hesitation. While we didn’t get our first choice, we did get a theme park view and I could see WOC and the Fireworks from our patio (with obstructions on both sides). This was a completely smooth transaction. Highly recommended! $1738 for 6 nights in a studio at the Grand Californian.

Grand Californian: Beautiful, amazing staff, and the best location from the parks! Walking through Downtown Disney or through the GC entrance kept us within the Disney bubble the entire time…we always felt we were part of the magic. The only negatives were that they didn't give us enough coffee for each day and wanted to charge us for extra, and then since it was DVC, we only got trash and towel service on day 4 (no sheet service and we kept trash to a minimum). Otherwise, everyone there went above and beyond for us. Another high recommendation!!

CheapTickets through Ebates: Bought 5 day park hoppers for the price of 4 (pre-price increase), $1126 for 2adults/2kids. We received a $10 Target gift card for joining Ebates and $77.42 cash back after the purchase. We gave our print out to the reservation desk at the Grand, who gave us our tickets upon checkin. No problems! Amazing deal & again, highly recommend!!!

Lansky's: professional, prompt, helpful, and super clean vehicle. $180 for round trip from LAX, with grocery stop at Ralph's, for the 4 of us, and he provided and installed the boosters for my kiddos. Highly recommend for your airport transfers!

Photopass Plus: The best $69 spent! We took pics with every photopass photographer and character interactions I could find and asked for magic shots (2 different Tinkerbell, 1 Stitch, 3 different Cars characters, and 3 frozen magic shots!). We walked away with 350 photos and the CD with another 350 stock images. My iphone died on day 4 so this was a lifesaver! The only problem we had was that day 2 was so crowded in the parks that I didn’t see any, literally, not one photographer, outside of character meets in the park (DL). Otherwise, all our images were loaded correctly and we love, love, love them!

Bippity Boppity Boutique: I’m kind of torn on this one. We booked the castle package (“the works”) and while I think it was worth it once, I wouldn’t do it again. Some of the Fairy Godmothers will be “in training” forever as they seemed to forget what it was about and just wanted to get it done. Lots of people in a tiny space, fairy godmothers rushing around and I saw more than one snarky side eye when parents weren’t looking. In the end, my girl felt dolled up (I don’t know that I would say “special” since they had so many people crammed into the small space), loved her pics, loved skipping the line to meet the princesses, and loved all the comments walking through the park afterwards in her getup. So, overall worth it, but just let it roll and know what you’re really getting into. Next time, I’ll save the money, get her dolled up at E&As, and take pics myself and with park photographers.

Blue Bayou Fantasmic: Just do it. It was expensive, but the atmosphere and food were amazing and the seating for the show can’t be beat! Unfortunately, the fireworks were canceled due to the wind, so I was bummed. It seemed like very few CMs knew what was going on with seating. We had to walk all the way around to be seated in the front. Both the Blue Bayou and River Belle F! dinner guests were seated together in the same center section. We arrived around 8:30 and it was already a bit crowded, but you really couldn’t have a bad spot in this section. However, they parked late arriving ECVs right behind us and a lady almost ran over my son because she couldn’t brake the damned thing. We had to invade the space in front of us because she stopped literally an inch from his head and couldn’t reverse. Then she talked (yelled?!) the whole show. I was a little annoyed at that woman, lol! But whatever…the show was AH-Mazing!

Paradise Pier’s Surfs Up: Easy walk across the street from GCV. Got there at 9:15 for a 9:20 reservation and really needing coffee, but we had to wait for people to take their initial pic w/Mickey. We saw Pluto then Minnie right away after being seated. Stitch came by & was super playful. He stole things from nearby tables & hoarded them at another. He danced with his reflection in a spoon. He took my son’s cell phone (‘cause he was playing on it!) & pretended to throw it, then talk on it for a bit. Then he took the girls phone from the table & talked on them both. After all that, he settled in for hugs & pics. It took Daisy a while to come by which caused a lot of anxiety in my daughter, but she was so happy with her when she did. She was sweet, loving, and gave lots of kisses! The food was your run of the mill breakfast buffet food, but everything we ate was really good! Totally recommended!

Cabana rental at Disneyland Hotel became available at 2 on our off day. The main pool is huge, and the monorail slide was awesome! It was one of our coldest days so the pool wasn’t crowded, but it made the short wait for the slide kind of miserable. The cabana was awesome and service was great! We received 6 mini Dasanis, a fruit bow with apples (1 green, 1 red), a pear, 2 bananas, small bowl of grapes, and several large strawberries. The tv had all the room channels. There was a ceiling fan, 6 port usb to charge devices, bluetooth enabled radio, a mini fridge, loveseat, couch, coffee table, 2 loungers with umbrellas and a whole rack of towels. This was probably another splurge I wouldn’t do again, just because my kids were just as happy at the GCV pool. It was $165 ($150 plus tax) for 4 hours, from 2-6. Fun to do if you have the money to burn and really want to hit another pool, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Pinnochio’s Workshop: Basically a drop-in daycare at GC. It was great for a few hours sans kids. Both my kids really enjoyed it. They ordered dinner, had story time, and from what I gather, my son played Minecraft on a computer while my daughter did crafts and played air hockey with another little girl. They couldn’t be happier. We made reservations a week out. It’s $13/hour per kid, 3 hour minimum. I think we were right at 3 hours and it was $90. The best thing I learned was that they have a private deck they take the kids to watch the fireworks if they’re there at 9:30…if I wasn’t so exhausted I would’ve tried to time it right to get in on this with them.

Grad Nights: Didn't bother me, but we were mostly there at opening, done early afternoon, and only went back for reservations and shows. I saw a few kids running around, a few amorous embraces, and once, a kid getting off a ride behind me cursed in my ear with excitement. I imagine he saw me tense and I didn't even have to turn around and use my mom voice before he whispered an apology, got really quiet (lol!) and backed off from my family a bit. I think the grads may have added to a very crowded Tues in the park, but honestly, there were way more large families and other folk than groups of rioting kids. On the opposite side of the spectrum, my son was literally run down from behind by a lady on an ECV (who did not apologize even when I gave her the evil eye as I helped him up from the ground!), had another come an inch within his head while waiting for F!, and had him get literally shoved aside by another grown-*** man (this all still obviously makes me very angry!). I saw way more grown people, large families, and stroller pushers be less aware of their surroundings causing havoc.

Chase Visa Southwest Rewards: We signed up for these (1 each/separate cards) months before the trip, were able to get enough points for free airfare from Austin to LAX for the 4 of us. We paid $100 annual fee per card, and another $100 in early bird fees to get all an “A” seat ($25 each round trip ticket), for a total of $300 on airfare (and still earning points!)

Chase Disney Visa: I waited until the points on the SW card’s cleared and then applied for one of these (in case we couldn't do both); no annual fee. I earned a $200 Disney Giftcard to spend on our trip!! I should’ve had my husband apply but didn’t think about it. Caveat: it may take up to 8 weeks to get your giftcard, so do this sooner rather than later.

Day-by-day run down coming up!

Daily Park Shenanigans!

Day 1: Monday, June 1. DCA EMM at 7. Non-grad night.
-Arrived at 7:30
-Stopped in the photoshop to get our photopass lanyard
-Anna and Elsa FP line was down, but they were already in the theatre. There was only 1 person in line so we waited. We received signatures and got to spend a few minutes talking with them, my daughter got to spin w/Anna. What an amazing start and we left near tears!
-Immediately walked onto Mater’s Jamboree-loved it!
-Pulled RSR FP @ 8am for 840-940 return
-Rode toy story...10 min wait
-Rode carousel
-Took the 60th Coaster pics by the carousel
-Picked up coffee and pastries @ the pier and sat for a bit
-Took pics w/photographer in front of the Cars postcard
-Took pics with another photographer on the pier. She was roaming and had 1 magic shot (Stitch)
-Walked to RSR to use our FP…10 minute wait
-Walked through Bugsland to Tower of Terror. Totally traumatized the kids (we had no idea how intense that ride would be!) so they got suckers in the gift shop
-Met Mr. & Ms. Incredible and Frozone while they were walking back from a meet
-10 minute wait for Olaf
-Rode Mike & sully
-Walked up Buena Vista where my daughter plopped down on the street to watch the BV Boys show
-Pulled Soarin FP
-Rode Grizzly...longest wait so far at 15 mins
-Rode Soarin (this would ultimately be my favorite ride experience!)
-Walked to Aladdin for the 12:40 show and ate pretzels in line…we waited for about 20 minutes
-Walked to Flos for lunch, but they didn’t have nuggets for the kids (this was an issue the whole time we were there as my son will only eat nuggets or burgers for protein)
-Took some pics with an awesome photographer and got magic shots with Lizzie
-We headed back to the GCV entrance around 2 to eat lunch at Whitewater and take naps!
-Went to DL around 6 for the parade, but Main Street was already packed, so we found a spot in front of It’s a Small World…no one was waiting at this point so we were the first to snag a spot
-My husband and kids rode Matterhorn and were back by 6:45.
-I took them to Nemo subs, we were done by 7:30
-We stopped to take the Matterhorn 60th photo, grab some popcorn and a pair of 60th ears!
-We walked around Fantasy Faire until about 8:20 when my husband called b/c people kept trying to take our spots.
-Watched the most amazing parade I’ve seen yet!!! My husband and kids were tired so I let them talk me out of staying for the fireworks. Worst decision the whole trip since we didn’t get another chance to see it.
-CMs made us walk through Frontierland, past New Orleans Square, through Adventureland, and then take a back way down mainstreet. It was crowded, slow, and a bit scary, but I don’t know what else they could’ve done since there was no way we were making it down Main. The fireworks started when we got to Adventureland and were still going when we made it out…but I didn’t note times.

Day 2: Tues June 2, Disneyland EMM at 7. Grad Nite.
-Arrived at 7:30
-Alice was down so we rode Dumbo. They miscounted passengers so the boys had to sit out and wait an extra turn. The Cast Member gave us a return pass for Alice to make up for it!
-Walked onto Toad, which scared the girl. While in line, Peter Pan stopped by & said hi!
-I sent my husband for Indiana Jones FP’s while me and the kids went through Fantasy Faire
-We rode the purple teacup!
-The Matterhorn was down, so we rode Pinnochio (none of the FF rides were longer than 5 minutes)
-Met up with my husband and walked onto BTMRR (less than 5 minute wait)
-Pirates had 5 min wait so we jumped on...
-Haunted Mansion was closed so we hit Splash Mountain (kids loved it!)
-Went to Indiana Jones. There wasn’t a real rider swap (at least as I’ve read it explained), so we both had to wait through the FP line; maybe 15 minutes each time? At least the boy got to ride it twice since the girl wasn’t tall enough. He said they were a little different both times!
-We girls pulled BTMRR FPs when the boys were on IJ and grabbed a snack & some shade.
-Adventureland is super narrow and we noticed by 10:30ish the park was noticeably more crowded than DCA had been at that time the day before. My son literally got pushed down by an ECV driving behind him…it took a lot to keep my mama bear in check L
-However, he was fine so we rode the Jungle Cruise after a 20 min wait
-We hopped in line for Princess Jasmine outside of Enchanted Tiki
-Watched the Enchanted Tiki show & enjoyed dole whips
-Returned to BTMRR with our FPs, but the ride was down
-Ate lunch at Riverbelle and Stagecoach (kids).
-Spotted Tiana and tried to get in her line, but it was closed
-Haunted Mansion was up with a 35 minute wait, but it didn’t take near that long to get through…maybe 20 min? Hatbox ghost was working when we went through
-We saw Donald, Pluto, Minnie, Genie (who replaced Jasmine when we walked by again), but all the characters had closed lines
-I looked with all my might, but literally didn’t see a single photographer outside of the character lines (not even at the statute or in front of the castle). It seemed mighty crowded, so maybe they had to put resources elsewhere?
-We were back in the hotel pool by 2, swam until 3, headed back up to the room for naps. Really had a hard time getting kids down and up again so we had to rush to make it to Blue Bayou for our 5:10 reservation. It was just too crowded to get there with any speed so we got there around at 5:15, seated at 5:40, done around 7. Awesome meal!!
-BTMRR was closed again!
-Walked to FF, a lady in front of Village Haus handed my daughter a free Happily Ever After button
-Walked onto Snow White
-Used our Alice return from earlier that morning and jumped the 50 minute line
-Walked down to F! and BTMRR was finally open. Walked on at 8:15 with our 11:30am FP (they honor them if the ride is down when your FP was valid)
-The show was amazing, fantastic, and my kids loved it! Unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled…again, regretting last night’s decision not to stay!

Day 3-Non park day
-Lots of downtime.
-Paradise Pier’s Surfs Up breakfast (reviewed above) at 9:20
-Cabana Rental at DL Hotel, from 2-6
-Grabbed pizza in Downtown Disney on the way back from the room
-At 9 I took the kids to the GCV WOC viewing deck. There was only one other couple up there so we got our choice of view! It got pretty crowded closer to the show. At 9:33 (the show started late) a lady in a wheelchair showed up with a man. She stood up so we all made room for her at the railing (it was like 3 rows deep at that point). The man walked her up to the railing and literally shoved my son out of his way with his shoulder so he could lean on the rail too. I was so, so, annoyed, and the couple standing next to me literally gasped out loud. We all, without hesitation, made room for her, even though they showed up late and my kids had been waiting in the cold for 30 minutes. It was just an awful thing to do. All I think in those situations is that Karma’s a *****.
-I digress. We got the gist of the show even though we couldn’t see the projections and I decided that my kids and husband were too tired to keep staying up late and waking up early. I decided to cancel my reservations for the WCT WOC lunch I had scheduled for Friday. I also kind of didn’t feel like worrying about making one more thing on time this week! And I secretly hoped I’d be able to drop their butts off at the hotel and check it out on my own!

Day 4-DL EMM at 7, Thurs June 4, non-grad night
-In park by 7:15. Pics in front with floral Mickey, including a magic shot (balloons)
-Walked on to star tours
-10 min wait for Space Mountain
-10 min wait for Autotopia
-5 for the rockets (can’t remember what they’re called!). Alice & Mad Hatter walked by while we were in line
-Walked on to Buzz
-Took pics in front of the statue, including a Tink magic shot!
-Pics in front of the castle
-Waited 15 min for Pixie Hollow to meet Tink & Fawn
-In Matterhorn line by 9:30 and saw Mary Poppins. The Matterhorn broke when we were in the bobsled entering the cave. We heard shouting and alarms so it was a little scary! They got us out and we received return passes.
-Saw Alice & Mad Hatter again and snapped some photos
-Walked on to IASW at 10
-Ventured towards Toontown and walked onto Roger Rabbit
-We went to Bippity Boppity Boutique at 10:40. It was very, very crowded. As I mentioned above, some of those ladies will never be true fairy godmothers! After the make over, the boys left us to do their own thing.
-We girls were walked over to Fantasy Faire and skipped the line to meet Mulan, Cinderella, and Snow White. Rapunzel was outside so we waited in line to meet her.
-We rode the horse carriage down Mainstreet and hopped over to DCA for lunch at Ariel’s at 1:10
-I grabbed RSR FPs with a return of 7-8pm
-We had time to kill so we walked onto Ariels right at 1
-The girl plopped down to watch the green men show, which made us a little late to Ariels.
-We got there at 1:15, met Ariel, Rapunzel, Tiana, Belle, and Jasmine (in winter gear). This was by far my favorite meal and experience when we were there. It was so much more organized than Surfs Up and awesome to meet the princesses one by one. The food was amazing…I had clam chowder, lobster salad, and a trio dessert that made me want to book lunch again! We were also lucky enough to be outside on the pier which was so beautiful! We were done with lunch around 3.
- While we were being girly, the boys went over to DCA, rode Grizzly, waited for Soarin, but got FP because it broke, rode Goofys Skyschool, the Jellyfish, Symphony Swings, and the Zephyr.
-While walking to meet the boys around 3, we jumped in a short line to meet Jesse and as we were about to leave Woody jumped in the picture so she got pics with both!
-I grabbed FP to ride Screamin with the boy later
-We walked over to Soarin to use the boys return passes (they let all 4 of us in!)
-My husband took the girl back to the hotel through the Grizzly’s exit so I could spend some time with the boy
-We grabbed goofy’s FP and rode Screamin (less than 10 min wait in the FP line)…I grabbed 2 more FP for Screamin on the way out
-I picked up a giant lollipop for the girl and a 60th hoodie for me!
-We rode Goofy’s and then went back to the hotel
-We dropped the kids off at Pinnochio’s Workshop at GCV
-I somehow lost my husband’s ticket, but luckily, the front desk was able to get us a new one without issue. My advice: take a picture of your ticket numbers and photopass lanyard in case either get lost! They were only able to find his ticket because all 4 of ours were sequential.
-We hit Screamin by our 6:20 FP return
-Rode Symphony Swings (10 min wait)
-Walked to RSR which had been down and just came back up so it took 20 minutes to get through the FP line. We took lots of photopass pics together on the way back!
-We went back to DL (against my advice!) because husband wanted a sandwich and it was so, so, packed!
-We skipped dinner and used our Matterhorn return passes around 8:30 planning to leave the park via monorail and avoid walking back down Mainstreet
-The monorail was closed early because of the fireworks so we had to hoof it back through the crowds to leave. We picked up dinner, the kids, and were back in the room by 9!
-I was so exhausted after this day!!!

Day 5, Fri June 5-DCA EMM, Grad Night
-In park at 8:02 (9 am opening so EM was at 8)
-Stopped at the Grizzly waterfall for photopass pic and took another with Mater and Red in Carsland. Saw lightening, but the girl was too cranky, lol (girl wouldn't do lightening)
-In line for RSR by 8:15, but the posted wait was already 30 min…it really only took 20
-Hit Maters Jamboree
-Explored Bugsland and rode Fliks flyers
-Walked onto the ladybugs and stayed on for a second go (this was a surprisingly really fun ride with the kids!)
-Did Tuck & roll (bumper cars)
-Boys did lady bugs again
-Pulled RSR FP @915, for a 1-2pm return
-Waited 15 minutes for Soarin
-Walked onto Grizzly and I sat out while the family did it again
-Walked onto Zephyrs
-Walked onto Jellyfish
-Goofys Skyschool had a 20 min wait
-Saw Buzz but the kids didn’t want to stop
-The kids wanted to ride swinging gondolas on the Fun Wheel. This was our longest wait the whole trip at 45 minutes and the damn thing had me frozen with fear with tears in my eyes!
-Grabbed 4 Screamin FPs
-Stopped for lunch at Cove Bar above Ariel’s. Enjoyed fruity drinks, lobster nachos and wings. There wasn’t anything the kids would eat, so they just munched on snacks we brought and played iphones
-Hopped in line for Donald when waiting for our food
-We finished eating around 1, so I rode Screamin with the boy two times in a row while my husband and the girl finished eating/paying at Cove Bar.
-Used RSR FP for final ride at 1:50
-Took some really great family shots (1 magic shot) in Carsland before heading over to TOT
-Pulled TOT FP for the girl who insisted we ride it again.
-Waited 10 minutes for Sofia the First
-Walked down to Smokehouse to grab nuggets for the kids and headed back down BV St around 3
-Stopped to watch 5&Dime (really great!)
-Hit TOT with the girl again. I can’t believe she made me do it and actually went through with it! The boys were not getting on that ride again!
-On the way to meet the boys we saw a photographer in front of Hollywood Studios and asked if she had any magic shots. She said she had 3 Frozen shots and had been waiting to be asked! We got pics with Sven, the Ice Monster, and Olaf!
-We stopped in line to officially meet the Incredibles and Frozone
-The boys were on Grizzly’s so we pulled a FP when they were on ride. When they got off we played around in wilderness for 30 minutes
-Rode Grizzlys one last time...out of the park around 5:30. I’m pretty sure we hit Soarin again sometime this day, but I can’t remember when. It was one of my favorite ride/experiences there!
-Swam for an hour.
-Went to DTD to ride the monorail…luckily they didn’t make us get off at Tomorrowland
-Hit the DTD store for kids souvenirs…it was so super crowded, but they each found something.

Day 6-Fri June 6, DL EMM (8 for 9 opening)-Grad Nite…last day at the park!
-I accidentally packed our room keys and didn’t realize we needed them until we got to the parks to show for EMM. Luckily, a CM gave us MM admission ticket so all was right with the world! The girl was so cranky and we were all running on fumes by today, but really wanted to enjoy the magic.
-Hit park right at @ 8, in Star Tours line by 8:04, on ride at 8:13
-10 min wait for Space Mountain
-In line for Matterhorn at 8:50, done by 9:10
-Hit the Matterhorn 60th photo op as a family
-BTMRR had 15 min wait, in line at 9:25
-Pulled FP for a return ride. Realized the girls ticket wasn’t scanned this morning so the CM there gave us a FP to use for the rest of the day.
-We rode Splash 3 times in a row!
-Used our BTMRR FP at 11
-Went back to explore Toontown and blow up a building and ride the mini coaster they have over there
-Took our last family pics in front of the castle (I highly recommend taking these iconic shots more than once because you never know what you’re going to get each time!)
-We spotted Aurora on Snow White’s bridge by the castle but she wasn’t meeting any more people. She was in a precarious spot because she was solo without a CM and I was surprised that so many parents were being so rude to her about leaving!
-Found another photographer with a Tink magic shot on the other side of castle (towards FF)
-Ran around for food for us and the kids and met up right at the hub to people watch and take it all it
-Hit the shops on Main for last minute shopping
-Spotted Cruela and Chip and Dale putting on a show at the fire station
-Triple checked with the kids they did everything they wanted before leaving the parks around 1:30 (our ride was scheduled for a 2pm pick up)
-Left in tears!!

It may take me a while, but I'm willing to answer any questions about our experience. This was an AMAZING trip and I am so glad we were able to do it together. I have pics to share if there is anything specific you'd like to see (like the magic shots, characters, etc.), but I feel weird posting random family pics just 'cause, lo!. Thank you again for all of your help and advice to make our experience that much more special!!

Love the details.
Wow! You accomplished a lot in the morning hours. Did you have a plan or just went with the flow?

We were there during the same time. I was there June 2-June 6th. We flew in on the 2nd so we didn't get to the parks until 5:30. We stayed until midnight and were able to get 10 rides in that night and have dinner. It was wonderful! Over all we did get a ton done in the morning hours just like you. I know the 3rd wasn't your park day but we were able to get so much in during the am. We had ridden 7 rides by 10:00 am. Nobody was in Frontierland or Critter Country. We rode BTMRR over & over, do HM and POTC. Walked onto Splash 3 times! It was great. Thanks for sharing, sounds like you had a great time!

We followed advice given on this board and Casey's plans over at dlrprepschool, but hopped on rides as we passed them. Having 5 park days really helped ease the pressure & I still feel like there was so much we didn't do!

The park seemed so crowded to me on the 2nd!! Maybe the kids moved over to DCA for grad night? I really struggled with taking off Wed vs Thurs, but we chose Thurs since it was a non-grad night & we were going back to the park late. It worked for us though since the kids were pooped, but sounds like y'all hit the jackpot! I think the cold helped keep locals away too maybe?! Glad you had a good time!!

Great trip report! Looks like you had a wonderful trip! Thank you for sharing :) I love the tip of taking pictures of your tickets and photo pass in case they get lost!

Can I ask which princesses did you see in the Fantasy Faire?
Inside the Royal Hall were Mulan, Cinderella, and Snow White. When we walked up, Merida was outside in her own line, but by the time we were out, Rapunzel had taken her place. I saw Aurora outside once too...

How did you get your name added to the waitlist for David's for VGC? I'm looking to reserve a studio for February 2016 and the 7 month window opens next month. As I've read on David's site, if you try to make reservations before the 7 month mark, you get charged the $2/point premium.

We were there on June 1st too, but it was our last day (we arrived the week before and were flying out that evening) My oldest DD and I were in CA that morning and rode Toy Story right around the same time you did :)

I ended up getting stuck in the frontierland detour twice. The first time it was because we had been back by the Village Haus & Casey Jr. watching the fireworks after the parade and that is the exact route they had us take. Then I accidentally got myself stuck in that same flow because I was trying to meet DH (who was coming back to the parks from our hotel, I was already inside on Main Street) at Indiana Jones right after the fireworks ended and realized when I was right at the entrance that I couldn't go into Adventureland (they were only letting people exit I believe). Going back up Main Street was crazy so I just went with it, but it was quite a bit easier on my own and not with three other adults, and three kids (2 in strollers). Haha! I get why they have to direct the crowds, but man it gets packed fast!

Also had similar thoughts about Grad Nights. Didn't see any crazy or rude behavior, and the parks were so crowded with people of all ages that had I not known it was a grad night I probably wouldn't have given the HS groups a second thought. We did run into some rude behavior and vulgar language with some of the groups on Bat Day that weekend however (though most of the participants were polite and friendly, and I'm sure there were grads misbehaving that we didn't see earlier in the week!) Though overall I had gone in expecting far worse with the HS kids and it wasn't an issue at all, on any of the 3 days/nights we were in the park on grad nights.

How did you get your name added to the waitlist for David's for VGC? I'm looking to reserve a studio for February 2016 and the 7 month window opens next month. As I've read on David's site, if you try to make reservations before the 7 month mark, you get charged the $2/point premium.
I don't remember a $2/point premium, but maybe it's changed. I just had to submit the application form with a $100 deposit. The deposit was refundable until a room was booked, and it was applied to our total balance once they booked it. I gave the $100, my dates, and as soon as the window opened, they booked the reservation through a member. It's all automatic though, so you can't cancel once it's been booked!

How funny about the Toy Story Ride!! Dis world is a small world Those crowds though...scary and not so fun, but they did their best!!
