Hi agraygirl,

I was thinking of adding the dining time to the list as well, I will add and post it first thing on Monday since the spreadsheet is on my work computer.

The meet at 5:00 at the sailaway party sounds fine.

This is our first Disney cruise and first cruise period, do you have any tips on things not to miss?

Jim.

Jim - just my opinion (my family says I like to be the boss of the world) but if this is your first DCL cruise (and any cruise) I'd just stay onboard at Nassau and enjoy the ship. The cruise is so short that after getting off at that disappointing stop we have stayed on board and really enjoyed the ship without so many people. Like I said just my two cent's worth.

Kathy

:thumbsup2

Thanks Kathy,

I was thinking about staying onboard at Nassau as well. I thought about maybe just me getting off in Nassau while my wife and daughter would hang out at the pool but not sure. Wife really wants to check out Castaway Cay. Thanks for the advice and any others would be great as well.

Jim.

To All,

Is it possible to have dinner together? or would anyone want to if dining at the same times (early/late)?

Is there a pirate night on the 3 day cruise? if so which night is it?

Thanks, Jim.

That's our plan(stay on board at Nassau). We did the dolphin excursion in Nassau which was fun but there were people hounding us to buy things and get our hair braided on the way to the excursion. Which, you wouldn't know by how much I talk here, but in real life I'm pretty quiet! So that made me uncomfortable.

Also, the Mickey Pool is ALWAYS so crowded. This gives DS plenty time with out all the crowds to play in the pool.

Although I would note, I wouldn't give up the experience we had at the dolphin excursion for anything, and I was glad we did it. Maybe next time we'll do Atlantis. But this time, we're bein' lazy!

I'm all about dining together.

My DISBoard group did this the last time. It takes a phone call to Disney/Travel Agent and the reservation number of the family you want to have the dining with and that's it. Well, and your reservation number.

We need a count of hands for who is late and who has early dining and who is interested.

Also, instead of a dinner meet we could do a regular breakfast meet at Parrot Cay in the mornings.. They have THE BEST breakfast. *drool*

Food for thought... :)

P.S. I think Pirate night is Friday, June 1st.
P.S.S. Don't miss Castaway Cay, it's beautimus.

agraygirl,

Thanks for the information. We have Second Dinner Seating 8:30 PM listed on our reservation. We would be interested in sharing dinner. Just send me a PM and I can give you our reservation number.

Jim.

I would love to meet everyone at the sail away party. Because we are traveling with mother, I think its best if we bow out of dinner--- but would love to meet at the pier or sail away party. Jim - I agree about staying on the boat at Nassau but mom really wants to see the island so we are going on the historical tour. This cruise is really for her. My dad died a few years ago and I try to take her a few times a year to do some fun things.
Ever since agraygirl mentioned Palo's I'm thinking of going if even just for souflee and the little lemon drink they serve at the end. I really need to stop obsessing about food on the ship. Oh well better go. Watching the Mavs playing tonight. In case anyone is curious the STARS WON last night. Talk to you all soon.

Mal.

Jim, I PMed you my info.
Mal, I totally understand. :)

My friend here would like you to know that it's only
39 days untill embarkation!!

He looks excited huh?

Ok goodnight!

agraygirl & Jim - We have late dining too but I'm not sure that I would want to "subject" any of my DIS friends to having to eat with my 2 princesses every evening!!! :scared1: The youngest can be a little crabby late and I'm hoping that she enjoys the clubs more this time. She will be in older DD's group this year and I think she'll spend more time in the Club since she will be grouped with her big sis (who loves the clubs!):)

We are also staying on the boat in Nassau. Like agraygril, we did Dolphin Swim & Encounters last time and LOVED it (and highly recommend it). But we are also going to be "lazy" and enjoy the boat since this is such a short cruise. We may get off the boat for an hour and run to the Pirate Museum but that would be the most we would do.

Sail away party and/or breakfast sounds great to me for a Meet. Just let us know what you decide and we'll be there!!!:grouphug:

Thanks for all of your hard work planning!!!!:cheer2:

Mal - Since I always read these boards in a sleep deprived state, I just noticed your "esq." Are you an attorney in Texas? I practice in Georgia...just wondered!!!!

littleprincessmom,

I dont mind if you joined in for dinner. Is there a limit to the number of people at a table? If not we can still at the sail away party and/or breakfast.

How far is it to the Pirate Museum? Is something worth getting off the boat to go see?

agraygirl,

I got your PM and sent you one as well. I dont think their is much honor in that picture, LOL too funny. Live long and prosper.

Thanks to all for the advice, Jim.

I think we had about 15 people at dinner. 4 familys ish and one lady who came on the cruise by herself which we totally loved.
After not seeing anyone you know all day it was nice to meet up with fellow cruisers and talk about what you did.

Okay it's Monday, one day closer to our vacation!:cheer2:

What a long weekend. I couldn't wait to get back to school to check out the DISboards! We still have dialup at home so getting on here from home takes forever!

We would love to do dinner/breakfast also. Just let us know which one and we'll do whatever we need to do. We have the early seating for dinner. Meeting at the sail away party sounds great too.

Since this is our first time on a cruise, and to Nassau, we are getting off the boat there. We did decide not to do any excursions the ship offers though. We were planning on taking a carriage ride around Nassau and then heading to the Pirate Musuem. Any thoughts on this?

I guess I must have ordered my buttons right before CafePress pulled them. Anyway, I e-mailed them to see if they were going to cancel my order and they responded with:
'I am not too sure if you are aware, but there was system issues for the past few days were images were being flagged in Cafepress Shops. I have gone ahead and taken a look into your shop, product and order and everything seems to be fine.'
So...I guess the Mickey head was okay. Thought you would like to know, agraygirl. After all your hard work I hated to see them pull your design.

I think this is all for now. I know I will think of more to say here in a bit!::MinnieMo

Amy

Hi Amy! Thanks for the info, let me know what design your buttons have when they arrive. I'm going to leave the ones that are up there, up there. I did order some extra emergency back up buttons and I'll give you some to match on the ship if yours don't, you'll just have two! You can call the mickey head design the "collector's edition". Oh oh!! you could maybe even sell your "collectors edition" as a limited print on ebay for millions!! Haha.. okay just kidding.

Lets see who else has early dining and I'll explain what to do.

I called earlier to link Jim's family to my family reservation and they were VERY happy to do it. It only takes about 5 minutes.

Also, If you want to change to late dining you could join us. :)

Hello again, my dis friends!
I made my own cruise meet door sign instead of buying the one from Cafe Press.
I copied the design with the Mickey head to my pictures, then I printed it out. I'm going to laminate it for my door sign. I don't have a button maker, but I'm going to laminate a small one and clip it to my bag.
Just an option to think about.

Hey everyone, Mike here.
Just saw on the main page of the cruise boards that DCL is not allowing door decorating anymore. That's going to break Amy's heart with how excited she was about it(if it's true).
Mike:sad1:

What?! I just printed a sign! Bummer. I have a big pirate for pirate night.
I've spent many hours working on door signs.
