May 3, 2014, Eastern Fantasy....Anybody cruising with me????

We're having fun looking through the thread on homemade fish extender gifts. My older son and I have even tried a couple of the crafts! And I've been reading lots of trip reports!!

I'm thinking I might go in the fish extender this time, why not?
When it gets closer i'll decide though.

We were planning on spending a couple of days at the parks before the cruise...but knowing us, that couple of days will probably turn into a week by the time 2014 rolls around. Haven't been to the World since 2009, so there's a lot of catching up to do. And we usually go in February, so the timing will be very different for us. DW and I are very excited about checking out the Flower & Garden Festival.
Might have to do a day at Universal. Haven't seen Harry Potter "Land" yet, and DD is a Harry Potter fanatic (me too).
We drive down...I love to drive and DW is terrified of flying. A lot cheaper too. Plus we have our own vehicle when we are there.
Stef...we did Seaworld one year. I was very impressed with the park. Didn't do any 'ride' attractions...just the shows and exhibits. A very relaxing day...and educational too!

I am really thinking we should do Sea World, I would just like a nice kick back day, looking at exhibits and such right before the cruise. Thanks for the advise!

Hi all! Me my dw and four year old dd will be with ya'll on this cruise. This will be our dd's fourth Disney cruise and sixth cruise overall. We started her cruising at 22 Months and now she is addicated like us.

We have been to the Eastern caribbean only one other time but this is our favorite itinerary. Can't wait to get back down their.

We were on the Fantasy this past September on the Western and had a blast on this ship. We have also sailed on the Dream but Fantasy is set up a little better.

For those that this is your first cruise or first cruise on Disney you will be hooked too.

Look foward to reading and planning along with all

Just wondering who has their stateroom assigned already? I'm in 9166, and am debating whether to go concierge or not, or to go for a 4e rather than the 6a we're in.

Has anybody cruised the Eastern before?

So soon we have our stateroom number! Picked to match with my parents! I am a big planner but usually plan trips a couple months early...this might be torture for me. We have only done the western so eastern should be fun! I will post our number when I remember it

This thread has really grown! I have not posted in awhile.

My partner Lisa lost her beloved ( and my other ) Dad on January 6th. It was not expected. He got the flu over Christmas and never fully recovered. He fell asleep in his recliner and never woke up. Needless to say we are devastated.

Days later we were supposed to leave for Disney, and then to Lakeland so I could make and decorate a cake for my great-niece's first birthday. Lisa insisted I still make the trip...but without her. After some 'discussion' off I went. It was a bittersweet trip to say the least.

I am so glad to see that we have so many more participants on this thread and even a Facebook Group.

I cannot wait until our cruise!!!!

This has been a rough time for both of us. He was one of the finest men I have ever known and totally welcomed me into their family. I miss him terribly, and I know Lisa does even more than I do.

A previous poster asked about stateroom numbers.......

Lisa and I are in 8596, and our friends are in 8594 and 8592.


I am so glad our little group is growing. Welcome to all our new members on this thread. Our cruise seems so far away, but we are only a year away from final payment time! Yikes.....better get to saving and paying it all off.

The kids and I cruised the Fantasy in March of last year on the Western itinerary (which we loved) but my mom was not keen on doing Mexico so we are trying Eastern this time! Doesn't really matter, honestly, as long as we are aboard! So excited - seems so far away, though!
