May 3, 2009- All Disney Carts $29 at Michaels!

Enabler alert (for those of us who don't quite have *all* the Disney Cricut carts already!)

This morning, TinkerBean forwarded me a Michaels email that announced that all the Disney carts (shapes, figures, and fonts) will go on sale for $29.99 starting on Sunday, May 3.

So, what did I do? Ran right out and bought Lyrical Letters for $39 there today and got a rain check for LAB - I've visited the Ms repeatedly during the past (sale) week looking for it and it never dawned on me until about 3 a.m. today that I could get a rain check.

Now to save my pennies until May 3 - I've got to pick up some of the Disney carts at this price - we'll be the crazy people camped outside of Ms waiting for them to open!!! Of course, ACM and Js (and others) will most likely price-match this advertised price.

Thanks for the heads up. We were at Michaels today and it took all my willpower not to buy one today. Glad I didn't....looks like I'll be there bright and early on May 3rd. For that price I may even splurge and buy two.

This will be awesome!! My husband asked me if I was seriously averaging one cart a month since he bought me the cricut for Christmas....he has no idea how many I could have been buying!

Wow - you might be right - does Joann's not price-match competitors prices? I guess I assumed they did.

I know ACM price-matches Ms prices - but, they will take your original newspaper/printed ad to put in their register drawer with a copy of the receipt for any price-matched items. (At least that's how they do it at my local store.)

I don't think that J's matches prices, I do know that HL (Hobby Lobby) will if you have the ad and are persistant. Sometimes they don't want to, but it says they do in their policies on the website...

Thankfully, I have all the Disney ones, otherwise DH would be upset for buying even MORE cartridges right now.

You beat me to it! We get our Michael's ads the Wednesday before in our mail. I was looking at the ad while waiting in line to pick up DD from school and knew I had to post it on here. I already have all the Disney carts and actually very thankful it's only the Disney carts on sale. If not, I'd be there buying more and I need carts like I need a hole in my head

Our Michaels is terrible about price matching. They will only do it if specific brands are listed and if it's not a % off. Since HL usually just says scrapbook albums, stickers, paper, ect 50% off, our Michael's will not match.

I did not know this! I have asked HL many times if they priced matched and they always said no. I guess I'll need to print out the policy online and take it with me. Thanks for the info!

You just have to be persistant!!!! Having the ad with you works.

Also, if you didn't know, M's does as well!!! Again, you have to have the other ad with you, and they'll fight it, but they will do it. When the manager questions it, I always say, "Well, I just got off the phone with corporate to verify and they said as long as it is an exact price amount and not a percentage off they will price match." M's also takes upto 3 coupons at a time.

Mike's and ACM do, so I would think Joann's does, I've just never asked. I never get the Michael's ad in the paper because it's not right near me, so I'm usually not able to price match Mike's stuff at ACM. Walmart also price matches, I got Storybook and Graphically Speaking there.

Walmart only matches set prices, not % off. Make sure you have the ad in hand too.

Well - I bought seven Disney carts this a.m.

It is truly best that DH not hear of this...! (HA!)

I was the first one in Mike's door milliseconds after the manager unlocked the door (I really need to get a life...) and got all the ones I didn't have. (Edited to note that I *only* had the Mickey font one before today... I've used TinkerBean's while cropping at her house, since she has three of the figures ones.)

DD already has them opened and is chugging out paper-pieced princesses...

Hope others get a chance to grab some - this is a great sale!

I hope they come out with more later. I would love a Pixar Cartridge and one with some of the classics like Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo, Pinocchio, ect. Oh, maybe even one with some of the Theme Park rides and phrases.

Oh, I forgot, I think there may be some Hannah Montana Carts too but I'm not interested in those so I don't even know if they've been released yet or not.

This was the one I was REALLY on the fence about. But then I realized that we have lots of photos (from multiple WDW trips) with Lightning McQueen. Also, I checked ebay and saw that the used Cars carts are selling for about this price, too. So, I could probably use it for awhile and when I think we're done with it, could then pass it along to someone else for almost what I paid for it. It was a tough call, though!

Um, just for ah, research purposes, I tried to price match at Joann's today...They do price match, and I only had a printed copy of the ad (with a printout of the detail as well), from the website. Just for you ladies' benefit of course
