I am sleep deprived and full of butterflies! There are enough to share with anyone not experiencing this. Our dogs have started getting nervous about us leaving.. Too bad we can't bring them along, they hate to miss a boat ride. We should be completely packed by tonight and ready to hit the road friday. Someone stop me from dancing like a fool!!!!

I think all that dancing on Florida caused the earthquake in the southlands!!!

OK....I CAN'T contain my self anymore!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I'm sitting at work and had to check the boards. Ya'll are making me want to jump up and down......and I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE TODAY!!!!!! We're hitting the road tomorrow around noon...and I just want to go home right now and stare at my luggage! My fellow workers tell me that I have shortimers-disease..hehe.

Ok...taking deep breath. I want to thank ALL of you for all your posts. I went on a 3 day cruise over 10 years ago....and I had no idea what to expect and therefore missed out on a lot of things. Your posts have given me such insight!! Thank you all and see you on Saturday!! (or some of you Friday night at the Radisson)

Thank you all so much for your prayers and VM for pixie dust. Little Mak sure needs it. Imagine how disappointed we all will be if we have to cancel. I am sitting here in tears touched by all you wonderful people I have met on this board. You are very special people and am so proud of you all. Thank you again for the well wishes. Will keep you updated. They are now in NC and should be arriving here late this evening.

It seems every time Mak comes to Fl and Emma too, they get sick. 2 yrs. ago he was in ER with pneumonia and very very sick, and had to stay here for 3 wks. til he could travel home to CT., then next visit he got flu and so sick he had to go to Emergi-care. Emma got sick and had to go to Emergi-care last year with a viral infection. It's such a bummer and scary for them.

I reached Mak's doctor and she called into Walgreen's his suppositories so Heidi can pick them up at any Walgreens. Once he gets that into his system hopefully he will stop vomiting and feel much better. Hard to believe he would get a fever from being upset, but it always happens. He's had all kinds of upper and lower GI's and ultrasounds etc. this year to make sure he had no other problem. He went to specialists and they said it is this Cyclic Disease and he can outgrow it, but sometime it comes out later as an adult in migraine headaches or go away all together. Let's hope the poor kid ougrows it for good.

It's so sad that every time he gets ready to go and have a really good time anywhere he gets over-excited and gets sick.

I know this isn't as important as little Mak's condition, but I wanted to pass this info along to you.

As I was heading back to work after lunch, I went to check my e-mail account. My computer was frozen. Went to restart my computer and it crashed. I am on my laptop right now.

I took my computer in for servicing, and the tech thinks that I might wind up losing everything I had on it.

So if you wanted me to e-mail you a photo of the Magic in port this Saturday, please send me your e-mail address to andygump55@netzero.com that is my e-mail address for my laptop. I'm not sure how long my desktop will be in the shop.

I'm feeling mighty sick to my stomach about now. I have sooooooooooooooooooo much stored on my desktop.

I'm very sorry to hear about your PC Andy! Hopefully the shop will be able to retrieve and/or salvage your hard drive. I've heard that they can do marvelous things!

Prayer works so we are definitely praying for little Mak! Nothing worse than a sick child.

Andy, so sorry to hear about your computer. Wish DH was closer by, it's his field and even in his position, Director, he has to know what to do when something goes wrong. Seems he's always on call!!!

Mom got her first massage today! Yes, at 74 years of age, I "forced" her into it and she came out an hour later floating!!! Told me that she went home and laid down and slept 3 hours solid. Guess I made her a believer!! So now she is less stressed out about everything.

I'm still trying to get packed. We don't leave til Friday noon but I'm just not in the mood to pack! Yet.

Hope we get some word soon about our little Mak - keep us posted Barb!

Great to hear that your mom enjoyed her first massage today! Any idea on how much your Vista Spa bill may come to by the end of the cruise?

I just pulled out the old suitcases myself and am in the same mood as you are concerning the packing. I think it's going to be a bit of a struggle.

The good news is that Travis *did* get the lawn mowed one last time before we're off. Wouldn't want our neighbors to think the place had been condemned!

Still need to make our way to Target to buy some last-minute articles and swing by the dry-cleaners.

Gosh, so much to do and so little time!

Could you send Travis up here?! Just to borrow him for some yard work! I'll bring him back for the cruise!
Glad to know I'm not the only "slacker" when it comes to packing. Too many clothes, too many choices and I just want to dump a few pairs of shorts, jeans and tops in the bag and head off! Mom, my fashion plate clotheshorse Mama, is making sure I have a "suitable" wardrobe! No matter how old you get, you always gotta listen to Mama!

Except when I forced her into that massage! I went overboard in December with Vista Spa - got a lot of products that I like and use, and tipped heavy. Almost felt like I could have bought the Alpha Capsule for the debt I incurred!!!
But heck, it's vacation!

I did get Michael packed up though!! That's a start!

Just a little story to share

I can't wait to get there so I can start wearing my normal clothes!!! I packed everything over the weekend so we are all wearing some old clothes we still have around. The other day my 5 yr old was watching me get dressed and after I tried on several pairs of shorts with none of them fitting me right. He says "Mom, either you have gotton bigger or your clothes have gotton smaller" Now isn't that just a sweetheart

I guess I need that washining machine fixed, it keeps shrinking my clothes

He is in my prayers- also passed his name along to our huge prayer circle- so now hundreds of people across the country are praying for him. I am sure he will be fine- and then the week of R&R will have him better then new! This is a powerful prayer group- I KNOW it makes a difference. so keep the faith and we WILL see ALL on Saturday!

Does noone else have a pick for the Kentucky Derby? Rae posted a link to the horses- just take a shot- when we come back we'll see if any of us were right!
Okay- I got one DD packed- well almost- at least one of the many suitcases is in the hall trussed up and sealed with cable ties!
Packing for teens is worse then packing for children- they are so dang opinionated but lack common sense. "Mom- I NEED these six pairs of shoes." "Mom- why do I have to pack so much underwear- four is enough."
Gotta have hair gel and hair spray and hair wax and brushes and combs - and oh yeah- special combs for wet hair, hair elastics, barrettes, headbands and sparkly thingies.
Don't even get me started on the makeup requirements! Underarm depodorant, perfume, body wash, body spray, facial soap, foot stop, face lotion, foot lotion, skin lotion and chapstick.
Pantihose, dress socks, sports socks and crew socks.
Strapless, backless, underwire, strapless AND backless(read glue on )
YIKES- the paraphenalia!
But we are on our way!

Actually Rae, he probably wouldn't mind that at all. He loves doing work in the yard. Go figure!


OK, so, we picked up the needed supplies at Target. Now we still need to buy our wine for the Dis Wine Tasting and I'm just sure more things will turn up as the countdown clocks tick away.


You know the vacation is getting close when the stress level suddenly spikes! Oh well, we'll have a week to recover and the first sight of the pristine Disney Magic does wonders to relieve stress in ones life!

Hi All,

Got home just a little bit ago from Best Buy. I indeed lost eveything I had in my computer, so I have to start over from scratch. I had over 300 e-mail addresses that I lost, not to mention my t-shirts designs, WINE-O pin design(good thing I got them all printed and off to Rae Tuesday morning), some of my family genealogy that I had been working on, and my most recent photos that I didn't get burned onto CD's are now lost.

This is not all the trouble I had tonight. I came home from Best Buy and turned on my laptop, and the hard drive stopped. I'm about ready to throw these computer out the window.

Well, I know what I'll be doing this weekend, instead of cruisn' I'll be downloadin'

Sorry to hear about the computer problems. We're almost packed and ready. The dogs are really stressed, they get that way when they see the bags out. We have someone coming to stay with them while we're crusing, wish we could bring them.. Our last post will be Friday morning as we are leaving and staying the night in Port Canaveral on Friday night. A little more wine should get rid of these butterflys so that I can get some sleep. The misses is busy getting the last minute things together.

Well the two big bags are packed.... two little ones to go.... BUT THE IRONING IS FINISHED!!!!! Be sure to tell Jeanne and myself how nice and wrinkle free we look!!! HA HA HA

The last and last-last minuet trips to target are done only one more to go... Still need 'road-trip' food.....

But we are ready.... I think.... and hope!!! I know what yall mean about the packing blues.... Rae we might want to re-think the "nude cruise" idea you had on an earlier post. Think of all the packing (& IRONING) it would avoid!!!!

Andy..... SO SO SO sorry for your troubles!!! Hope all works out ok... If not feel free to have your home wine tasting whenever you need it!!!

All the gang who will be at the Radisson....... I am bringing a sign and we will be at the pool probably most of the night.... DH has a recruiter who wants to come and meet him before we sail.. So you can look for the family sitting with the guy in a suit... Can't wait to meet all of you and .... "GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!".... OK, Chelsea would be so embarassed!!! I am too old and 'Momish' to even know that song according to her....

Also a big thanks from us to all who have made this trip so exciting already.......... We are thrilled about the wine tasting and all the meets....... Chelsea is just jumping out of her skin to meet Amanda & Alison -- soon to be the terrific trio??? We may really never see them now!! And most of all we have just really enjoyed getting to know all of yall!!

Better get to bed...... still a small bit to do tomorrow..... And then a 16 hour drive with kids.... I am off on VACATION?? RIGHT??

OKay, I'm up!!! Slept two hours last night and about 3 tonight! Okay, it's time to start moving!!!!! Or for me, Packing!

You are right, Andy - it's so close who can sleep?!

Jason - you are one lucky man!!! But knowing you through your communication here, so is Travis! Nice to be able to find compatable partners in this world. Usually opposites attract - like my son and his fiancee - he works, she doesn't. He's friendly, she's reserved. (NEED I GO ON?!)
(Stop me before my blood pressure elevates! Since this is that area that says, "Not your business!)

Well, should try to get back to bed. Hate waking up DH (light sleeper).

I saw the weather in Orlando looks great for the embarkment! And holding my breath about the Caribbean but took the advise of a wiser person who said it always rains there sometime during the day.
