May 28, 2005 Mexican Riviera

Ok,,,Blake and Lara- Please make note. As Dancin' Fools Captain I am proposing to nail down this event for:
-------------------------------------
Dancin' Fools Meet
Thursday-Day 6 (Cabo)
11p-2am 70's night at Rockin' Bar D
--------------------------------------

There, I did it. I'm going according to some old Eastern 7day navigators, so hopefully, it won't change. Got time, date & location.

sue-I'm with you on trying to change our seating to early. How do we do go about trying to do that?

:cool1:

Moley...

I'm having the BIGGEST Hissy FIT right now... but it is nothing compared to the one that my daughter Enchanted Playroom will have when she gets back from the bank to see that we don't get the cool stuff that ya'll will get.
I'm so freaking jealous....
ok.. but seriously, do they at least SELL us the stuff that they GIVE you?

Sandy, I'm so sorry you cannot be a part of the CC souvenir this time. I've never heard of them selling extras. You can ask at Guest Relations. And we don't get a lot of things. I think there is a gift such as a towel or blanket and a pin. However, to your benefit, I've heard they are going to have some special souvenirs for sale for all aboard. I bet(only my guess) there are signature towels for the Mexican Riviera and definitely pins for us. Don't despair. We will all have a chance at some exciting souvenirs.

Great to see that complete party list. :scared1:
I have spent years in the music business it brings back some memories. :rolleyes1 Oh well, that was another life before my son darling son Zachary appeared.

My wife Jennifer and I would like to cofirm our intention to host cocktail hour at 4:30-5:30pm on Sunday night in our suite 8534.

I will see what the concierge can work up for us in terms of apps.

I will be stocked for martini's (vodka/gin) but if your a beer or wine person BYOB :genie:

Lets shake a few shall we :drinking1

I will once agian have to say "Thanks" to my wonderful husband. To try and make things easier for all of us, he has created our own DisBoard Navigator! This is only a first draft and is based on those cruisers who have generously offered up their room as a meeting place. Let us know if you think this will work. Of course, feel free to make changes.

Thank you so much for the list. I am going to print it next.

We are planning to go to Scoops. We don't have kids with us and weren't sure if it was stil ok to come. I only drink 'fruity' drinks so no wine or champagne for me  I'm gonna have enough trouble avoiding seasickness. I am looking forward to the strawberry daquari/pina colada concoction at sailaway though. I would love to see the suites too, if I am welcome. I may not post much and am sadly just as shy in person but you all seem like a great and fun group I may be forced out of my shell.

We will be at the DLH from Wed thru Sat but we have a tour scheduled during the meet at the GC. Poor planning on my part.

Back to the repo pictures thread now....

Also, I know at least Sue and I have late seating and are probably 2 of the biggest bubbleheads.
I'm on late seating also. It's good to know that there a few others from this group in late seating.

I'm so jazzed from watching the Magic this morning. It was one of the few times that I am even home on Saturday. I was going to try to do some things to get ready for the cruise, but instead I've been glued to the computer for several hours.

Did anyone else go look at the article in FloridaToday.com? It's about 3/4 way down - the first article under BUSINESS "Magic Heading West". It has a quote from our own FirstTimers (Carolyn) in the article. FirstTimers - if you're listening, I've printed a copy of the article for you.

Wow, I've been away from the boards for a few days and there's so much to read and catch up. I will have to write down all these activities when I finish reading your posts. You guys are such an organized bunch.

I can't believe I too was glued to my computer during the last couple of hours just reading the live reports and webcam shots of the May repo cruisers. I must be nuts! :rotfl2:

We're going to Party City this afternoon to check out some Pirate accessories. Arrrrrrrr! pirate: We're also planning on picking up some postcards for the kids' exchange.

I can't believe in exactly 14 days from this time we'll be at Scoops munching on these :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar .

Rose, you are always welcome to party with The Man I believe I have enough beads to go around. :) Now for you other stuff shirts, I said Marti Gras party not a wet T-shirt contest, there is a difference, in a Wet T-shirt contest the ladies are judge on their appearance, the Marti Gras is more like a special olympics, if you play you get rewarded no one cares along as you have fun, remember what goes on the ship stays on the ship! With all those beer bashs I wonder if they will let me take my portable keg on board? With lost of beer space in our cooler due wine and champane bottles, thanks alot girls, I don't know if everyone will get enough of the good stuff.
The Man

What were we thinking? We need a huge long green banner to hold up as we sail away. Maybe we'll get a close up on the news!! AHHHHHHH! !@#$ I'll have to look around and see what I can find. Maybe some green sheets or just cheap green material and markers. Hmmm, I'll work on it.

Hi everyone -

We are on the July 2nd cruise. I am sure someone has already asked you guys to please, please, did I say please :) - you must post trip reports as soon as you get back with your suggestions/hints, not necessarily surprises if you know what I mean. Thank you so much. Have a great time.

OMG...we get a floatilla AND pyrotechnics??? Sandy, I'm with you on this need for a green sign...I know I can get a white parade sign made up at my local beverage office (Coke, not spirits) but I know they don't do green.

Muslin makes decent large signs, but I'm not sure how it would dye (or if) to a lime green....

Emily's dance recital went well...she was front and center and LOVING it the whole time! We had to literally run from her baseball game as her coach is saying "Em, you're up to bat" and I'm yelling back, "no she's not!"....but all worked out!
Now both kids are getting their "last" sleepover night (mommy needs next weekend free for packing, repacking and repacking again!)...both have great kids over and it's a piece of cake.

I've just checked thru pics of our boat....she's looking good coming our way!

Yeah!! Another event nailed down for the lime green navigator! Ty, that sounds great! 430p is a great time, so my DH David and I will plan to be there on Sunday. Thank you so much for hosting the cocktail hour in your suite. Rock on!:cool1:

Here is the first draft -

SATURDAY - Casual Dress (theme yet undetermined)
3:00 Scoops Meet-n-Greet
8pm Bon Voyage Champagne Celebration in Suite 8078 (EnchantedPlayroom)

TUESDAY - (Puerto Vallarta) Pirate Night!
8:ish Pirate Party in Suite 8078 EnchantedPlayroom

Sandy and Brandy- So there are 2 parties in your suite?? :worship: For the Bon Voyage Champagne Celebration...are we suppossed to bring a bottle? I didn't realize it was a champagne thing. We have late seating for dinner, so I don't know if we can make it anyway,,,but sure hoping to. Just let us know what we can bring if we can make it.
I didn't know anything about the Tuesday night Pirate Party?! Once again, hope we can make it as we are dressing up, even if only for dinner (don't know if our DD will make it to the deck party).pirate:
We will try to change to the early seating once on board, but it seems everyone but a handful of us has it, so don't know if we'll have any luck.

Socks68... You hit my drink on the head, I looooooooove Strawberry Daquari's and anything fruity tasting that comes with crushed ice and looks like a smoothy. You will fit in well with our group, please come by our suite #8078 on Saturday night...bring your sister/friend, we should all be out of our shells by that time.

Thanks Sandy. If I remember correctly DCL makes a great mudslide too. I treated myself to one each night on our Hurricane Jeanne shortened cruise last September. I'll tell Janet and Sue about Sat night and hopefully will see you there. :flower:

Wccruiser - We thought of having a champagne celebration twice. For the first night it will be fun to kick off the cruise. Then, on Friday, getting together for another champagne meet. While, we suggested 8:ish, we could meet in the afternoon. I may just change to Mimosas! :drinking1

We still need to find a location for Friday (depending on how many of us bubbleheads there are, we can meet in our cabin #8572) - or maybe by the end of the week, we’ve either impressed or annoyed the crew so much they’d give us a private area?

LegalBriefs’ had posted that Tuesday would be Disney’s official “Pirate Night”. If that is not the case, we’re going to have our own Pirate Night on Monday, otherwise we’ll be Pirates on Tuesday too. Enchanted, please let us know on this one pirate:

Socks - Please come by to Scoops as well as the other events.

We're in the same boat. I don't know where a second Pirate suite party came from. So far, we're only planning to have the one in our suite on Saturday night. Maybe where the confusion came from was the theme. When we get on board, if we find out that there will be NO pirate Disney night, then we all wear our pirate stuff to the suite party. If Disney IS having their own pirate night, then we just dress in regular clothes.

Suesings- Since you are the Champagne Bubbleheads "Captain", we'll leave this up to you. Did you want to go with you're original time of 230p? Please advise us your choice on the time and location. :flower:

Jedisan- I love this lime green navigator...do you want to take me up on my offer to print them on lime green paper and bring copies to Scoops?

Sandy and Brandy- OK, we'll eliminate the 2nd night at your suite. We do have to rest our livers!:crazy2:

Grammie Gail- Cocktail Hour "Captain"- can you confirm your choice for days and times and location?

Socks68- Welcome...please make any event you can!!:cheer2:

Opps, forgot the wine tasting.

Challada- as Wine Tasting Winos "Captain", can you please confirm a time for Monday? Legal Briefs is your suite the location?

:sunny: Hot Tip #8 : If your 3- or 4-year-old isn’t completely potty trained, Flounder’s Reef Nursery is the place to go for supervised activities/baby-sitting. Keep in mind that there is an hourly fee for this program.
