Phew I just finished reading all the posts....
So I guess better late then never right :rolleyes1

My favorite character is Mickey Mouse and my husband Bob is Chip from Chip and Dale...My favorite Disney Movie is Snow White(favorite princess), husband likes the Pirates of the Carribiean movies, We have never been to Disney World :scared1: But we are going for the first time in August and taking all the kids.

We had a hard time deciding where to stay before the cruise because we didn't want to stay in the park, we want the first time in the park the first time for all, and we had only stayed in the Hyatt Airport. We decided to stay at the Embassy Suites Orlando Airport. DH really wants to take the Magical Express so we will shuttle back to the Airport and take the shuttle to the port

A little info about us:
We are from Montana, this will be our 3rd cruise, we have 3 children (2boys 1 girl), will be traveling alone kiddo free :scared1: This will be the first vacation we have taken alone in hummmmm........We never have!!! This is our first Western cruise, the other 2 were Eastern, both on the Beautiful Magic :wizard:

We look forward to cruising with everyone in 11 Saturdays and counting :dance3:

Welcome, dennisbryce! How exciting to be traveling without your children!

How DARE you say "11 Saturdays"!!! I'm excited for the cruise, but I'm not ready and I'm feeling overwelmed!!!:scared1: Still haven't decided on all of the FE gifts, aren't sure about who needs what clothes, and which islands to do which excursions on!!! :surfweb: Hopefully I'll be ready when the time comes!:scared:

My three DD's (Jacey 13, Kaylee 8, and Emily 6) suggested we get a thread going to help our kids meet and start friendships (via email, PM, or texting) before we sail. If anyone has kids that feel the same and would also like to start visiting now, please PM me or post to this thread with gender/age so other parents with similar children ages can PM to set up emails. Lets help our kids enjoy themselves and take away some of the anxiety that they won't have friends once they are cruising! :yay:

My daughter Emily (7) would love to get to know some other kids before hand. Let me know were you have started thread!! :thumbsup2

I know exactly how you feel!! 11 saturdays

I just decided on the FE gifts, but still need a lot of work to get those done. Just bought the kids some summer clothes, but still no where ready!!

Hi everyone!
We just switched from the Sept 29 sailing to this one b/c we were able to do VGT at a great rate!!
Now the kids won't miss school in the Fall and we will be sailing for DD's 13th bday! So excited!

We are:
Jennifer- me
Jordan- hubby
Ashlyn- DD12
Anderson- DS4
Harrington- DS2

I just spent all morning trying to figure out shore excursions. Would love to take DS4 on the pirate encounter and also the whole family to the turtle farm in Grand Cayman. Would there be time? Was thinking of booking thru Captian Marvin.
For Cozumel I am interested in DH and myself doing the XPlor park. Hoping to find a way to do it cheaper though.
Costa Maya- no idea???
Castaway Cay- probably bike and snorkel. Possibly parasail or catamaran tour.

This is the 2nd DCL for DH, myself and DS4. He was 18m when we sailed the Magic so this will pretty much be new to him.

We would love to do FEs. What other activities are ya'll doing? I better get on the ball!!
Off to research flights...:goodvibes

Welcome :)

We just switched from another cruise also so we are pretty new. :thumbsup2
I know there are lanyards you can purchase and an FE. We love the FE and feel kind of silly that we are doing it without the kids. But I feel like a kid on a Disney Cruise :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

We still have lots to do also :scared1:
I had only been working on the FE gifts for a short time on the other cruise before we switched to this one and so know I am really behind. There were only like 12 families on the other cruise and alot more on this one popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::
Going to start my packing list next week and start digging out the luggage :idea::idea: Promise to not scare you anymore with weeks :flower3::flower3::flower3:

how many families are currently in the FE now? What about a head count?

I'm not the one handling the list for the FE, but by my count (and since most of our FE gifts are gender and/or age oriented, I had to make a list by age and gender) this is what we're at:

close to 40 cabins, 18 between the ages of 12-19, 30 between ages 5-11, 12 under 5 and 84 adults. (oh and that's including your family disneymagicgirl!) Again as I said, I'm not the one in charge of anything, I've just been adjusting my list back and forth each time anyone adds or drops. Hopefully I'm keeping up with it all to insure all my FE gifts are correct!

There was discussion earlier that if we hit 40 we'd split the group, so since we're so close to that, the above numbers could change drastically if the group is split. Hope that helps.

Don't forget to check with joining in for Roll Call and check out the laniards we are ordering, oh yeah, and the post card exchange too--in addition to the FE. I'm sure someone will be telling you soon to contact them about all of it, but just wanted to mention in case you've missed the threads on these. They will need your cabin number as well as your email address as well.

And because I forgot to say it earlier, WELCOME to the group and the fun! It doesn't seem possible that it is coming up so quickly!

We love the FE and feel kind of silly that we are doing it without the kids. But I feel like a kid on a Disney Cruise :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Well, if you're silly for doing the FE without any kids along with you, then so are we. But we are HUGE kids at heart--and who ISN'T a kid when you're on DCL? Its like when hubby and I read through cruise reviews and people complain that there are always children around, that the dining areas are noisy because of the kids, etc--we think--What did you expect? It's DISNEY!!!! Hello--if you didn't want to be where there are kids, go on a different cruise line!! No matter how old you are, when you're in a Disney park or DCL, don't we all become kids again?

So, YEAH we're doing the FE, with NO KIDS attached to us this cruise! We're big enough kids, we don't have to have them with us to have fun with it!:dance3::cheer2::dance3:

Thanks so much! Glad to see there a lot of kids in the 12-18 group.

Welcome dennisbryce and disneymagicgirl! It's going to be a great cruise!!!

I can't believe some of you are starting to pack already! I won't start hat until a au or two before we leave! But I tavel a lot or work and will probably go on 10 trips between now and then!

I do need to lse about 15 pounds between now ad then, so I better get started :rotfl:

I can't believe we are sailing in a little more than 2 months. We booked while we were on the Dream last May and this year has just flown by! Last cruise we didn't know about participating in the FE group so I'm glad a co-worker of my husband told him about it! Here is our FE that my whole family took part in making!
