With the way the weather has been here in Atlanta, there is nooooo way I would be heading to Florida, water or not .. Holy moly it's been hot!! Where are you staying?

21 cabins participating, guess it's time for me to start working on some FE

Actually, it's cooler here in Florida than it is up there in Atlanta. It's only low to mid 90s here right now. We're a few degrees cooler here on the coast, as opposed to the middle of the state though.

Wow our group is really coming alive! We all ready have 21 cabins participating in the FE!

That's great and still time for more to come. I found some good buys at Michaels and started getting some things already. Just need to finalize my ideas and decide if I am going to make me a new FE or go with my old one. The one from my NYE cruise has four pockets and I only need 2 this time, but a little extra room never hurts I guess!!!

I have also been thinking about the recipe/postcard exchange. Gotta come up with a good one for that also.

Yes - this is going to be difficult. I usually send a recipe card out with my Christmas cards (instead of a photo - it's much more interesting ) but I can never settle on just one recipe... and I get hungry doing it.

Fish Extender

Count us in on the FE! It will be me, Kathy, and DH Chip, #2036. We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary while on board so it will be a special cruise for us. We also agree the lanyards look very nice.

Currently ours is POTC (the complete series) and Tangled!!

It's crazy the weather we have had this summer. It has been soo hot, but I try not to complain about it to much since I know winter is only around the corner and I would much prefer the hot summer days then the icy cold winters

we are staying at Bay Lake. (using our DVC). and yes it will be hot!! I am sure whe we get there, I will be saying.. What were we thinking.

We have reservations at Ohana and Chef Mickeys.

Love O'Hana's, are you doing dinner or breakfast?? That is one of my favorite evening activities, dinner at O'Hana's and then watch the electrical parade and MK fireworks on the beach

I just did a quick search on DCL's website and for a family of four our cruise date is not even showing up. However; when I changed to just 2 adults there is availability in all categories. Look's like the ship is selling well!!

Just got some cruise docs in the mail from Disney... so fun to see "Bon Voyage" with our family name on the cover. It was nice to see all the port descriptions. Something to show the kids to say "see, here is where we are going" (not soon enough though)

I did that too recently - last week my boss was trying to find a Disney cruise for next summer and I was helping him (he will be a first time Disney cruiser). He has the same size family I do - 3 kids - so you need 2 adjoining cabins. Impossible to get on the Fantasy now until late summer or early Fall. Our sail date was fully booked for adjoining rooms. (Whew - I really didnt want to be vacationing with my boss)

we are back!! We did both dinner at Chef Mickeys and Ohana.. Ohana was even better than the last time we were there. CM still just doesnt do it for me!! but my kids love the food there.

The water parks were over run with Brazilian tour groups of teenagers. The one group had about 200 kids... luckily they were not out of control, but still!!
and last night at HS, it started to pour, groups of kids, panicked and hid out in the gift shops...um can we say claustrophobic!!

and to answer the question... My kids are on a Pirates kick.

My favorite movie.. is Remember the Titans.. true Disney... Beauty and the beast!!

OMG!!!

I haven't looked at the DISboard in a while because I was torturing myself with the count down. For whatever reason, I got on tonight and see that I've missed all sorts of ideas.

Here is my 2 cents:

I like the idea of something that will help to identify one another, be it a shirt or a lanyard. We are traveling with 2 other families (total of 10 people) and I would love to present them with something the night before or day of the cruise (this will be their 1st Disney cruise)

I told my son a little while ago that our cruise is only 10 months away. He said "are you serious, that's so long." Don't I know it!

Okay I know we are supposed to wait for the recipe exchange... but this one is a super super super simple one... and it is so easy it doesnt count.

in a crockpot :

combine 4 chicken breasts ( can be frozen or not)
one packet of taco seasoning mix
1 can of rotel tomatoes

1 cup of water if using fresh chicken.

turn on high for 4 hours...

shred chicken with fork.

and then serve with tortillas, lettuce, cheese etc.

I make this all the time, and there is no prep !!
