Hi everyone! We've posted a bit on this thread, but since it's grown so much I thought it might be good to restate a few things.

We are Mom, Dad, Emma and Hannah. Emma is 9 years old and rides horses. Hannah is 7 years old and is our resident artist. Both turn a year older in July and are looking for friends for on the cruise.

Mom and Dad plan on running the Castaway Cay 5k. We've run the Disneyland Half Marathon and are signed up for the Disneyworld Half in January 2013. We also plan on attending a few of adult beverage tastings.

In Grand Caymans, we're currently booked with Disney on the Shipwreck & Reef Snorkel. We've considered doing a snorkeling excursion on our own, but haven't heard about anyone doing the same.

In Costa Maya, we're doing Salsa & Salsa and would love to know if anyone is with us on this.

We're not signed up for anything for Cozumel yet, but are considering doing the Beach Buggy tour on our own. Disney won't let our 7 year old do it (age restriction) but at least one of the outside companies doesn't have an age restriction. Is anyone doing it on their own?

We look forward to meeting everyone soon. Do we get our lanyards on the meet and greet?
My girls are just about a year older than your girls. Emily is 10 1/2, and Madison is turning 8 in a week.

We're doing Salsa & Salsa, but we're doing it in Cozumel. We're doing the Jeep Adventure in Costa Maya.

Welcome back to the group!!

For those of you that don't frequent our facebook page, I wanted to invite anyone that will be in Orlando on Friday evening (that's May 25) to join Crystal & Bob (otherwise known as DennisBryce) and the 3 of us (Dave, Shelly & Terry) at Portobello's Restaurant, Downtown Disney at 6:30 for drinks/dinner. There are also a few that their flights don't get in until after 7 that we all may meet up with after that as well closer to the airport after dinner. If any of you are interested--please let us know--especially if you're wanting to join us for dinner as we're wanting to make reservations to be sure we get a table! This is by no means obligatory--we're just excited to meet people in the group and thought we'd like to meet some of you before we OFFICIALLY meet on board.

Thanks shesesewsall! Mrs Our2DisneyGirls searched for the FB page but couldn't find it. That may be because she accesses FB through her Iphone.

alikat99, we'll tell Emma and Hannah to look for Emily and Madison. It's amazing how 9 months ago we didn't check the thread often because the trip was so far away. We've tried to check more recently, but it seems like everytime we log in, it's grown by 10 pages!

I forgot to mention that we will be at WDW from Wednesday through Friday.

Here is the link for the fb page-if nothing else, send me PM as to your or Mrs. name on fb and I'll friend you then add you to the group. You can find me on fb as Shelly Roberts (in case there's more than one Shelly Roberts on fb, I'll be the one sitting next to Buzz Lightyear in the picture with one of my BFFs on the other side of him in the picture!!)

Don't feel badly about missing 10 or so pages of stuff here --many of us check in daily and feel like there are 3-4 pages that go up within a day! But that's the excitement of how close the trip is becoming!

Thanks Shelly. It's Holly Heck, but she's going to search for once she can log onto a computer. The phone doesn't seem to want to find you!

If you tell me who you are in real life I will do a search for you on Facebook and try to add you to the group that way. Don't feel bad about the ten pages I check the boards at least once a week sometimes more sometimes less and it's always 3 pages back to catch up. And trying to keep up on Facebook is just as bad. I got on and it said 23 posts were made on the group!!!

I will be giving out the lanyards at the meet I thought that would be the easiest way, also if by some chance someone can't make it to the meet or I miss them by chance I am asking for staterooms so I can drop them off that evening to everyone.

We cancelled our excursion in Grand Cayman and have decided to make it a port/ boat day.

Costa Maya we are going to the ruins

Cozumel we hired a private driver to tour the island.

I can't believe how close the cruise is getting :cool1:

I finished all our FE gifts today. :)This week we got our DCL paperwork and ME tags for our WDW stay before the cruise. Only thing left for today is prom. I have to get ready and practice my "your dancing too close" looks.

I am suprised that I haven't seen anybody doing the same excursions as we are. In GC we are swimming with the dolphins and doing the turtle farm. In CM we are doing the catamaran snorkel and in Cozmel we are doing Excaret.

I just booked this cruise and yesterday requested to join the FB page. Haven't heard back yet (request still pending). I have a lot of catching up to do!

Hi to all of our fellow cruisers!

We just booked this cruise and are really excited about it. We were looking for a cruise out of Port Canaveral and were seriously considering either RCL's Freedom of the Seas (7-night which we prefer) or the Disney Dream (which is wonderful but only 5 nights and we did this cruise in December). We never dreamed that we would be able to find a last-minute booking on this beautiful BRAND-NEW ship!

So glad that we are able to join all of you. Please add us (myself and my husband Bill from The Villages, FL) to your Roll Call.

Thanks!

Mary Lou

DH and I are doing the catamaran snorkel, as long as DS2 handles the nursery OK. Anyone know when we'd have to cancel by? I am hoping he will take to it ok.
We are doing the turtle farm as a family, I think. DH and DS4 have the pirate thing at 1:30 that afternoon. Do you think 10-12 would be enough time at the turtle farm or should we skip it? We'd be taking a taxi.

We will be on the Memorial Day Fantasy cruise. Our boys would like to join in Fish Extender fun. Is it too late? I cannot email the coordinator until I've posted 10 times. This is number one. Please connect with me if you read this.

Thanks... The Hostetlers

Welcome to our cruise. There is lots of info in this thread to help you learn about everyone.

The last time we went we were not on a cruise but our plan is to eat a big breakfast or late lunch, pack snacks and try to grab something as soon as we get back on the ship. These kind of trips always make us so hungry! I am sure we will see lots of stingrays, they head right for the boats when you get to the area. We saw tons. I am almost positive they had life vests, but I can't recall for sure. We love sailing on catamarans so that is part of the reason we chose this adventure and the snorkeling (last time) was great. The waters around Grand Cayman are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen!

Since I am a first time cruiser...Do you bring the snacks from home of can you get them on the ship? What type of snacks do they have on the ship?

We are first time cruisers too, but from what I've read, buying packaged snacks on board is pricey. We will be bringing our own candy, granola bars, chips and water. From what I understand everything has to be store-bought in original packaging or you can't bring it on. We plan on bringing an entire suitcase for this stuff, and we'll repack it with souvenirs when we disembark! I'm also hoping we can get fresh fruit on board to throw in our bags for snacks during excursions.
We are also bringing our own adult beverage, but it has to go in our carry on bag when we board.

Welcome to all the new cruisers! We are so excited!!!

We were thinking about doing the Salsa & Salsa too - have there been any reviews?
