Wanted to post and say Hi!
Feeling better but on steroids for my lungs and if everyone has ever been on them they arent fun! Hubby calls it "steroid hell" but at least he loves me no matter what!
We had a few days were we werent sure we would really be able to make this cruise but have decided to go ahead and things will just work out. We booked today with Delta and Air france with a total of under 5000 and thats going to and from Paris after. We were very surprised and happy we got that.
We also booked at the Hotel Novotel. I think we'll be doing alot of excursions on our own to save money.

Thank Goodness!!!!!! I think you will be glad you didn't have to cancel.

Glad you are feeling better Steroids are definitely hard to deal with! It's always hard being the patient, isn't it? Hang in there!! We'll be at the Novotel as well. Trying to think of a location to meet for a pre-cruise meet but just not sure we will be up late enough to meet for dinner. Anyone have any suggestions of a place/time to meet for a pre-cruise DisMeet?

My DD just got a prescription this afternoon for a medrol pack for her swollen hand from the surgery. We'll start it tomorrow. She's never been on them before so I'll keep an eye out for the mood change! She had her first hand therapy appointment today and will need therapy for 12 weeks! At least it should be over by the time we cruise! Sutures come out Thurs. She already started her hand exercises on the way home in the car! She's def an overacheiver!

Glad to hear your DD is doing well. I like a girl with motivation!! Way to go Kaitlyn!!

I am so glad that you are feeling much better now, I do remember my dad on steroids years ago and my mum said that he had the steroid side effects! she thought he wanted to kill her at one time!!
I decided to book some excursions privately with another family as the DCL ones are so expensive for us.

I am glad you did not cancel and I am truly sorry you have to deal with the steroids Rio has had to take them twice. Most recently about a month or so ago for two weeks SPring is in the air as of today (I know becuase I am suddenly sneezing) and we are so hoping no allergy induced asthma issues pop up for him.

So glad you are feeling better! Glad you will be able to cruise too!

Hi Taina, so glad to hear that Kaitlyn is doing better. The therapy won't be fun, but she'll be fine. Kids are so resilient!

Decision made! Booked us grand class tickets from Paris to Barcelona today on Voyages-sncf.com website. Very tricky as much of it was in French and I don't speak much French LOL! I used this website as a guide: http://www.seat61.com/France-trains.htm#How to use voyages-sncf.com It saved me almost half of what I would have paid on a US site for grand class tickets. DH said if we were going by train, we needed to do it right, and DD wanted her own bathroom instead of one at the end of the train car. And honestly I did too! Plus a shower too! Grand class includes dinners, with wine and full breakfasts.

I also booked (and printed out) our tickets from Paris to Bayeux for our Normandy trip. For that, I booked 2nd class as its only a 2 hour train ride in the evening. One less thing to worry about now!

I completely agree. I had Bronchitis a few weeks ago and I hope I am done with illness for good. Now we all have to stay healthy....

Just finished booking. Got Palo brunch for June 4th (in case we don't get the group brunch), Palo dinner for May 29th, but tea was gone by the time I booked those 2. Only booked 2 other excursions - Three historic cities and dghasjsa boat ride in Malta, and Bardo Museum, Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia. Also booked the Exotic Rasul for DH and I. Never did it before so we'll see on that one!

Palo brunch and the tea are the hardest to get. I booked the brunch first, then went back for the dinner because I wanted it on the Tunisia night, and the tea was already gone. To be honest, I don't even remember seeing it when I booked Palo's - it wasn't highlighted. Keep checking back as people do cancel and you can always try once you are on the ship as I'm told they hold back 50 % of Palo's ressies. And once I hear whether or not we get the Palo's group brunch about a month before we cruise, I will make sure to send out a post right away on Facebook and the Disboards since they'll be cancelling my brunch ressie I made, so it will open up some brunch ressies.

I really wanted to do Villas for 2 but DH does not like massages by strangers. I want to leave free time for wine tastings and any other special things we have not done before on our sea days.

When I went into DCL booking last night, no brunch or tea was highlighted, only the dinner. I'm super excited about the dinner!! And I will check back periodically for the brunch!

Ok, I added a few more excursions! Booked the whitewater rafting for DH and DS, and the Perfumers apprentice in Eze for DD and I. Both are in the afternoon for Villafrenche, so should give us the am to either go to Monaco or the beach on our own.
And I booked the Couples Choice spa on the last sea day. I figure I'll get DH warmed up to the spa idea with the exotic rasul on the first sea day!

Someone also asked if anything was totally booked. The only thing sold out right now is the Vintage car rental in Villafrenche.

And for those booking as new cruisers, there will be more brunches and dinners opened for your booking time. Just remember to log on at 12am eastern time for your booking window. I was on last night at 11pm my time (12 eastern) and could get a brunch and dinner right away but no high teas! I logged on a few min before 12, and was able to get into excursions/spa/dining by 12:01 to start booking. I started with brunch first since that's the hardest to get (and my favorite!).
