Bareacuda, I;m so sorry to hear that you are not going to be with us for the cruise. It's such a huge decision to go and a harder one to not go. We will see you in February so do keep in touch.

Just reviewed the excursions, the prices were too high!

The excursions are abit high... hey it's Europe!

Dh and I are still working on how to spend all that cruise $$$$ !

We met a very cool couple on our "back to back " in 2004 and we've kept in touch... we are all thinking of 2008 Holiday cruise!
Then we could do the garden show in April and a cruise .. hmmmm
Not to mention... perhaps the 10th anniversary cruise in Summer of 2008

An article in today's Orlando Sentinel stated May 25th at downtown Disney would be a midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean- At Worlds End. Is it possible we could have a showing on the cruise? Alex

The list is not online yet. SweetSue started it, I was maintaining it while Sue was handling things with Christina's sugeries. Now I am super busy so Sue said she will take it back after the holidays. It's current, just not online yet

Delta just changed the time of their BCN-JFK flight from afternoon to 10 am, which means there is no way we can make it. There was another flight that left a little after 1pm routing through ATL but as of yesterday it was overbooked and they won't isue anymore tickets. I bet that's the one that Disney is using. Seats will probably free up at the 90-day mark, but i'm not willing to wait that long. Kayak has a bunch of really good fares going through London (Gatwick), but whenever you try to purchase it, it's no longer available and the new price is over $1,000. Grrrrrrr.......
We positively CAN'T stay another day since this vacation is way too much time off for both of us. Between this and the high price of the excursions, I'm almost tempted to bail out. Delta says they will refund our non-refundable tickets since we'll be on a cruise ship and it's out of our control. dealing with airlines is not fun anymore. Sorry to vent, but right now I'm so frustrated.

Tracy, please check if we are on your roster. I posted here back in September a week before the 11 day Wonder southern carribean cruise. We had a wonder time on that cruise meeting all our fellow disboarders. (Even came in third place in the Mouse Adventure On The High Seas II: Curse Of The Mickey Bar).
Unfortunately, we came home to the sad news that my Father had past away 2 days before end of our cruise. That added to DW going into the hospital for over a week after surgery the following week, me getting laid off from one job and starting a new one working nights with 12 hour shifts the week after the cruise.... October was no fun at all. Got our lives put back together during November and by Thanksgiving all was well. Went to DL for 3 days during the 2nd week of December for some R&R. (We are annual passholders and try to get to the park every 6 to 8 weeks for a couple of days)
Looks like I will get to switch to day shift sometime in February (still 12 hr shifts) Starting to get hyped for the Med cruise so hope to be more active here from now on.

We are headed out on a short cruise, compared to the 11 day!
in just 2 weeks from now! 4 nighter, Will actually be waking up at the Boardwalk this time next week!

When I search from JFK to BCN, I find some pretty decent rates!
It is when I add the RDU portion of your flight, I get really bad rates..
Dont know if you want to do it or not but,
Try booking the RDU portion seperate, to JFK.
I know this will require you to check your luggage & Security, again.
Raleigh Durham airport? Is that the one?

Whew.... we got another flight. It's costing me close to $100 more and we have 3 legs instead of 2, but it works out well with the time. Now we're flying with American to JFK, then onto Madrid with Iberia which is one of their partners. From there it's a short hop to Barcelona (continuation on the same flight). We get in at 9:35 am which is fairly close to the Delta time. (We can wait for you, Peter!) I'm sad we're not flying together. long flights are such a bummer and it's always nice to have others to talk to. anybody else on this flight? Our return trip is the same in reverse but we don't leave until 12:55. DCL says we get into BCN at 6:45, but that doesn't necessarily mean we could get off the ship at that hour. I hated to give up the Delta flight, but I really don't think a 10:00am departure for an international flight is doable.

Tom and Lynn: so sorry for your loss and all the bad luck you've been having recently. Hope things will be looking up for the new year.

I'm glad you found another flight! We're scheduled to fly out on Continental at 10:55am (nonstop to Newark. We have a 3 hour layover and then another nonstop to San Diego). It was orginally scheduled to depart BCN at 11:10am but it's been moved up by 15 minutes. I hope they don't change it again. My TA checked with DCL and they said any flight after 10:30am would be fine. Is anyone else on this flight from Barcelona?
