Count us in at 3pm. We are hoping to arrive around 1pm, hopefully before. I hope that the traffic situation isnt to bad from Buena Park to the port. I am SO excited since it is getting so close! My kids are telling everyone that they are going on the "Mickey Mouse Boat" Anyone going to Knotts before the cruise if you are staying in that area? We are going to hang out there a few days before since we have a season pass, I need to get the disneyland pass soon! I better start on my to do list.

Also, I'm willing to organize the fish extender exchange for those that want to participate. We can use the 3 o'clock meet up to verify room numbers for those of with GTY rooms and pass out the final list.

How does the fish extender exchange work? Does it mean you bring a gift for everyone that signs up and you go cabin to cabin leaving it in the fish extenders of everyone on the list? How do you know how many gifts to buy, before the cruise? I guess I need to figure out how to get me a fish extender - since making one is out of the question for my domestically challenged self!

Editing to add another question - How do you deal with multiple groups in a cabin? Oh and Ebay has some cute fish extenders - although no cheap!

We are back from our road trip! It was nice to get out of town and see the sights.

But, now it's all about the cruise

Yes, you would go around and drop a gift into each around the ship. I think we should include how many people and their ages for each cabin so those that want to bring age appropriate somethings for the kids can. You can bring either one gift for the whole cabin or for each person, that is up to you. I think we should cut the sign-up off at 2 weeks before the cruise so that we have time to get enough, how does that sound? I would then provide the details via PM or email to those participating, the only thing that would be missing might be some room #'s, which would be on the list I will provide at the 3 o'clock meet.

I don't even have my fish extender yet but I found some on ebay as well...although they weren't under fish extender. Ok, now that I've read about this 'fish extender' gift giving, I think it's wonderful! I didn't see that our first DC Ok, I was busy changing diapers and trying to make sure no one was drowning.

But, this trip I'll make more time for 'giving'

These are much cheaper than the $30.00 - $35.00 dollar ones I saw on ebay.

All I do is put together the images and text I want in an image editor like Photoshop or Digital Image Pro, then I buy the magnet paper that goes through my inkjet printer and print them out, cut them out (if needed) and hang them up. There's also that link to the designers board where they are happy to do the work for you, just chose the design you like tell them the text you want, and then you save the image they make for you and print it on the magnet paper. Hope this helps!

Fish extender's? As Sgt. Shultz would say--Veeerrryy interesting! Now its one more thing to get.. Trying to talk the DW to make one if she has the time.. 2 weeks sounds ike a good time limit for the exchange list. Nice door magnet, I guess I will go get some more ink for the printer and make a few more colorful pictures I am thinking of cancelling our one shore excursion due to some heath issues.. Good to see more of the group responding to this post, as there are not many days left-45 for us as we are going 3 days to DLR prior to the cruise... AAAARRRRHHHHH

We are up for the 3pm meet at the pool. I'd also love to participate in the gift exchange. I'll send you a pm tinkmischief, thanks for organizing! I brought gifts for the DISer's on our last cruise too. Not sure what I'll do for the fish extender though. IF I get motivated I may make one but will probably end up buying one.

No, the Roberts girls are not on the DISboards. They are my best friend of 20+ years, Jill and her daughters who are 4 and 8. They cruised DCL to Mexico in July '05 and when they found out we were going, they had to book too!
We all have our ressies linked so we'll have a big table together, late dining. I can't believe how fast this cruise is coming up!

Yes, I printed them directly on the 8.5 x 11 maget sheets from Staples. I'm pretty sure that I did not have to change the size but can't remember for sure. I still have them so if you do a test print, mine are approx 4.75 inches across at the widest part and just over 3.75 inches tall.

Thanks so much!!!! I will be doing a test print and the dimensions you've given will help greatly!!!! I also downloaded the cute princess crown, sailor hat, and pirate hat to go between the ears! I might also grab the sorceror cap and Minnie bow, but haven't quite decided! Thanks again!
