Where do you live? We are in Moorpark, and have had big clouds all day and a few sprinkles but no thunder and lightening.

Oh No is this THAT kind of group!!!!!!!!

We are in Sacramento and it is warm but v e r y W I N D Y !!!

I don't care what the weather is - I'm gonna swim and eat!

See ya soon!

Welcome Cardina Dad!! Beautiful girls!! We are also traveling with extended family-10 of us and one on the way! My inlaws live in LB so this is great for us!! Feel free to come and meet some of us at the Mickey Pool at 215p on Sun if you can. Otherwise I am sure we will see you around.

Thanks Mary. That's great that you are traveling with so many relatives too. I must say that makes it really special. Plus, the structure of the cruise is so flexible, the relatives can hang out together as little or as much as anyone feels like.

I have no idea what our afternoon will be like on our first day, but please say hi if you spot us. Here's a full family pic:

HI everyone I just thought I would remind everyone that the online paperwork needs to be filled out by tomorrow. I usually do this kind of stuff the night before and had a few extra minutes today.....(well my computer was downloading some stuff and I couldn't do what I needed to do actually) so I figured I look to see what needed to be filled out and it said it must be completed by 5/23. Just thought I'd let any of the other last minute people know.

Am throwing things at the suitcase as I type.

:goodvibes Mr Sanderz DH in the Minnie tiara is our son! Don't worry the rest of the family is normal.

:mickeyjum Can't wait to see our old friend Mickey and make new friends:yay:

So what is your definition of 'normal'? :lmao:

My best friend who is also cruising with us (Her DD's are 4 and 8) lives in Simi. We are in a wedding June 8th in Somis.

By the way, don't worry about the weather; it should be just fine. According to weather.com it will be 96 degrees and sunny by the time we're in Cabo!

Oh SURE - I leave for 1 day, and the thread comes alive! ;)
Welcome newbies - GREAT pictures!

We made it on our first leg of the trip, it rained/poured the entire drive - but now it's kind of nice. We'll be in Long Beach tomorrow!

Kim, I loved the video! Okay, confession time - we also did the Big Red Boat as you can see from my signature and the cool thing was when we boarded we found out the Beach Boys were onboard and gave a concert for us and our sister ship in Nassau. One of the beach boys (sorry, I never could remember their names) was in the suite next to us and we got a great picture of him with my daughter (this was 13 years ago). Funny thing was he had a teenage son that was the HIT of the ship for all the teenage girls in the club! :rotfl: - so of course your post really made me smile! :goodvibes

SO, happy to hear from you! Our TV has been on, and we are in a flash flood warning and tornado warning! It's over now...but, I kept saying oh...Ellen...and DD's where saying who is Ellen? It's been such a mess here and the sky is SO dark right now. Oh..there is lightning....oh dear...

This is NOT what I want right now:mad:

Just glad your settled in for tonight.

DD12 wanted me to post this picture she took of all the decorations we made last weekend for our stateroom doors (we have 2 cat 9's).

You can see how busy we were last weekend. But a Disney cruise is worth it right? :tigger:

I made Disney Cruise Line Badges for each of us:

- I appointed myself "Captain" :sail: but of course DW is "Admiral." ::cop:
- DD6 was "First Mate," but we crossed that out and put "Pirate" pirate: at her insistence.
- DD12 was disappointed at first that she was "Cruise Director," but brightened when I explained that it meant she was in charge of entertainment (she loves to sing and dance). :dance3:
- DD9 was initially "Cabin Girl" but was promoted to "First Mate" after DD6's desertion.

DD6 says I need even more icons in my post and she likes this one: :laundy:

WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA EVERYONE! THIS IS FOR YOU....

Very appropriate video. The Magic will be passing by many of the beaches mentioned in "Surfin' USA." "Redondo Beach" is just on the other side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula from Long Beach Harbor. We might be able to catch a glimpse of it as we pull out of pull out of the port. "All over Manhattan," of course, refers to Manhattan Beach (not that island full of steel in NY), which is just a few miles north of Redondo. If it's clear enough you should be able to see the Manhattan Beach pier off in the distance. Manhattan is the beach volleyball capital of the world, in addition to a good surf spot. Further north still is the "Pacific Palisades" which I think more of for its high priced ocean view real estate than its surfing, but it should also be somewhat visible as we depart. It is just East/Southeast of Malibu. Down south just a little bit we'll pass "Sunset" beach, which is in Orange County. Then, closer to San Diego are "San Onofre" beach (famous for the nearby nuclear power plant), "Del Mar" (known for its horse racing track) and "La Jolla" (known for some very pricey real estate). I figure we'll be too far out to sea by then to see those beaches but we'll pass by them. There's a lot of California geography packed into that one short little song!

Hi CardinalDad!!! Nice family picture in your Stanford gear. Did you graduate from there? I think I tried to answer your question about a notarized letter from an earlier post. Didn't realize it was you until now. You have a lot of family coming with you.. that should be a lot of fun.:)

DW and I both went there so there is a great deal of Stanford gear in our household. No divided loyalties to worry about. Thanks for your post on the letter issue. There were lots of helpful people. This is a great site! :worship:

Well. It's getting late. :surfweb: I better sign off.

Can we officially start counting hours yet?????? When can we do that? As you can see I just can't wait!

Cardinaldad.....I LOVE what your girls made for your door! SO CUTE! I bet my dd would have enjoyed making some of this stuff. She's enjoyed helping with everything else, sorting the fish bait, packaging the stuff....and trying to help with everything cruise related. Maybe if I need her to occupy herself on Saturday I'll have her make a door decoration.

Your friend is practically my neighbor! I'm sure we will have lots of local folks on board. It seems that everyone I tell that we are doing the cruise is also doing it at sometime during the summer.

Tracey

Good morning everyone!

I'm so happy it's Friday! I was up at 5 this morning packing!

We have more rain in the forecast, but things will warm up I'm sure on Sunday:laughing:

Safe travels to all who are leaving in the wee hours tonight and all who are leaving tomorrow!
