Here is the link to the FE list, no additions unless I missed someone. One deletion unfortunately....

That's ok, Cayla! We appreciate you doing this for us. :)

Hi everyone :wave2:

For those who plan on making an ADR at a Disney World restaurant for our Port Canaveral day, the booking window opens on December 2nd. We're planning on having dinner at 'Ohana that evening, and probably the Kona Cafe for lunch, or lunch at an Epcot resort. Haven't decided yet. :scratchin

Last Friday I was told that I am being laid off on December 31st, so that's 10 more weeks of work. :surfweb: I've known since February that the company was closing; in fact, there have only been a handful of us left since February. They did ask me if I'd come back one day a week as a consultant until they close up operations fully.

I'm really glad that we paid off this cruise a few months ago, and this lay-off is exactly the reason why we did that. I was hoping that my job would be stretched out a little longer than the end of December, but that's ok, we've been planning for it, and we just will make a few changes to our current plans, for example, I don't know if we'll still go to NYC the day before and spend the night in Manhattan.

I hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug:

Sorry to hear about your job!!
Gosh, I wish mine was paid off already! LOL :)

We are unsure what we are doing during our PC day... we were thinking Animal Kingdom -- do you know if they drop you off at one park and then you use the transportation to get around? Anyone have an idea on how they are working it?

I loveeeeeeee Beirgarten at Epcot - we normally do lunch each time there...

Soooo....when I booked the NYC cruise, I was disappointed that I won't get to walk through the mickey ears at Port Carnavel. It just dawned on me that I still will get to! *face-palm* Only it will be mid-cruise! :cheer2:

I sure hope we can stay for the Wishes fireworks at MK on our WDW day! I wish there was more information about this day (ie times of transport, dining, return transport, etc):wizard:

:woohoo::woohoo:Happy Day Before Halloween Everyone:woohoo::woohoo:

Just wanted to check in and catch up. We signed our twins and Macy up for a basketball league. That will keep us super busy till March. Will make all the waiting fly by...which might or might not be a good thing... I want it to fly so we can get started & NOT fly by since we still have a ton to pay off. :headache: We are still having a ton of trouble finding a hotel for the 7 of us. Since we are on the West Coast we have NO option of flying in the day of....we have to fly in the night before...And we had thought that we would stay for 2-3 days afterwards...but it is going to be super costly.

On another note of costly...I just checked on DCL website to look at the Itinerary and it showed me the room rate first....and OH MY GOODNESS for the lowest inside cabin.....are you ready???? Almost $6500 :scared1:for two kids and two adults. We paid a little over that for TWO verdanah cabins for the 7 of us.

Well dinner needs to be finished up and served. Hope you all have a fun and SAFE halloween night. Big :grouphug:

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!!

Just saying Hi!!

Anyone know what park they will be transporting us too? Do we have to take in park transportation to another park if we wish?

Also when are tours allowed to be booked?

Thanks!

I don't know if they'll just bus everyone to TTC and then we'd have to go from there, or if they'll have a bus for each park. Once we're there, we'd use the normal transportation to get around. I love the monorail, it's like another ride to me. lol

Wow, I had no idea that this cruise has gone up that much!

I think we can book tours in February. The next time I log into the DCL site I'll check it.

I think I am missing on the F.E list (or at least I can't see myself!!). I sent all the required info ages ago, please let me know if I need to resend as definitely want to be involved.

Had 100's of children at door tonight for halloween (may be a slight exageration but it felt like lots!! :rotfl:). I made halloween cupcakes and also got some sweets so they could choose.

I think this thread will get a lot busier after christmas (or at least I hope so). Prices for flights from UK to New York are steadily coming down, as I have been watching them, so hoping there are some sales in January to bring the price down a bit more, as its still more than I'd rather pay at the moment.

Hope all is well with everyone. Weather in New York seems awful at moment, so best wishes for anyone caught in it.

Hi everyone :wave2:

Well it's November now... that means winter is coming soon... :cold: I'm not a fan of winter anymore. Must be due to old age. lol

At least we have this cruise to look forward to in the spring! :sunny:

I still have no idea what we'll do in Nassau. :scratchin

We know which WDW restaurants that we want to dine at on Port Canaveral day (Teppan Edo for lunch and 'Ohana for dinner). popcorn::

And I'm hoping that we're able to dock on our Castaway Cay day since that is going to be our beach day. :beach:

I'm counting down the weeks until I'm laid off from work... 7.5 weeks to go. :surfweb:

I hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug:

LadyShopper, I'm hoping the thread picks up a little in the new year, too. :cool2:

Hiya!!!!!!!!

How's everyone?? ;) All is well here... trying to stay warm, the chilly weather is starting to kick in and the leaves are FINALLY falling! :bored:

Welcome LadyShopper!

I am on the F.E. list -- my Mom too, but I don't see her listed...and I've sent all the information in --- I know Padalyn is busy... I'm sure she'll add us when she's got a minute!

I'm sooo unsure what we will be doing on PC Day -- or what lunch/dinner we will be doing ... I wish I could find out how the transportation works when we arrive that day. Been to Ohana, don't really wanna do that again, but the other couple traveling with us might.
Where is Teppen Edo -- how's the food - what type?

Well, I'm off to finish going over homework :)

Speak soon!!!

Teppen Edo - japanese habachi style. Steak, chicken, seafood with veggies. Good food. I have eaten there a few times and have enjoyed it each time. I personally prefer sushi tho.

Jody - I really owe you an apology - you sent me the information months ago - it got lost in the sauce. I am very sorry - you have been added!

I have been very absent from all the threads, My class kicked my b**T all semester. It is almost over- one more week (whew). THEN I can finally focus on important stuff - CRUISIN'!!!!

Here is the link to the FE list - please check it over for mistakes!

Hi everyone :wave2:

Just waiting for the turkey to finish cooking so thought I'd pop in and post on our thread. :surfweb:

I have a 4 day weekend now, so I'm pretty happy :sunny:

How are all of you??

We had a scare with our Siamese cat. He apparently swallowed a piece of elastic string because I saw a piece of it hanging out of his bottom! :scared1: It was late at night so I Googled for advice and read that we should cut the thread short (about 6" of string was hanging out!!) so it wouldn't catch on anything, and then to rub white petroleum jelly on his face and paws so that he'd lick it off and it would lubricate his insides. Well fortunately this worked because the string is gone, and in his litter box. We have no idea where he might've found that piece of elastic string. We don't even know what it was from. He has access to the entire house though, including the work shop and laundry room, so maybe that's where he found it. :confused3

Anyway, all of us are very relieved that Mushu is fine now. *whew*

In other news.... lol...

DS23 is moving in to his own place (sharing with 2 friends) within the next week, and he's really looking forward to it. He's known these friends for years and spends weekends with them, so I think it will work out fine for him.

DS20 and his DGF (that's Robb and Chelsea, who are also going on this cruise) will be at our house with homemade apple pie and cupcakes a little later! Chelsea has opened up her own bakery, so of course I had to order some things. She makes the best baked goods!!

I guess that's it for now!

:thumbsup2

Well I survived Thanksgiving! I cooked and had Mom and step-dad over. Hubbie is in Ireland visiting his Mom and Dad for their 50th anniversary. All went well.

Nothing new here. Going to be making journals for my daughter and niece for Christmas starting next week.

I'm off to watch TV. :)great having the bed to myself

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow (December 2nd) is 180 days before our Port Canaveral/Disney World day, so if anyone already knows where they'd like to dine that day, it's time to make an ADR (Advance Dining Reservation)! LOL It can't hurt to book early. :surfweb:

We're planning on Teppen Edo for lunch and 'Ohana for dinner. Two of our favorites. :)

Thanks for the reminder... I'll have to look into this today at some point.

We were just thinking buffet at Boma and doing Animal Kingdom as our park of choice, it's smaller, haven't done it in a few years..

Georgette: I love the restaurants at AKL. We did breakfast and dinner at Boma when we were staying at the lodge, as well as dinner at Jiko. :)

Well, I just made our ADRs. DH and I decided to stick with 1 park, due to health reasons, so we'll be spending the day at the Magic Kingdom. So I made a lunch ADR at the Plaza Restaurant for the two of us. And then the four of us will be having dinner at 'Ohana. :sunny:
