May 24th 2012 3 night Dream cruise!!!

The FE signups are usually done within the meets thread for that cruise. We will have our FE, but have elected to just fill it for our girls ourselves as there haven't been many on this board.

Have a great time! They can be quite fun!

I wasnt really sure. I probably should have just asked before I posted a thread. I just figured the more word out there the more I would hear back. Thank you for the info.

If anyone does want to to it, Im game. If not I will just do what you did, and fill it out for our kids.

We would probably want to do it if enough people have an interest. As for your question on the gifts, we purchased items at home and brought them with us. The things we received ranged from pencils, stickers, candy, small toys, etc for the kids and things like key lime juice (the family was from key west), and a single serving bottle of wine for my husband and me. We actually gave a Disney dry erase board to each cabin. Let's see how many are interested, and we can always put a small group together.

Hi all! We're first-time cruisers (mom, dad, DS 18, DD 13) SOOO looking forward to this cruise! Stateroom 8568. Heading to Villas at Wilderness Lodge after cruise for a few days :) Making a fish extender and (if I am reading all the boards and postings right) need to know about how many little goodies to bring. My DS is graduating high school a couple of days before departure so I believe our door decos will include some grad refs. Any ideas on decos or numbers of FE goodies? Can't believe it's just around the corner!!!!

Please let us know if you would like to do FE for the May 24th cruise. It looks so far like three families want to participate. I would like to get a final this week so we can plan accordingly. In my family we would have a total of 4 cabins:

DD 14
DD11
DS 9

DH
myself

Niece 10
her friend Girl age10
Grandma

Nephew 20
Grandma
Grandpa

I hope we can put together a FE group since it was so much fun the last trip.

Do you provide for each & every group or do you get one family you specifically buy for?

We got stuff for each person in the group not just one other family. We wouldn't have to split up into smaller groups unless we had a lot of cabins involved. It depends on what you want to give as your gifts. Last cruise we had about 15 cabins (about 40-50 people in the group) and we got something for each of them. The items don't have to be very expensive (and many people made their own gifts). It is just the fun of getting little unexpected treats. Gifts we got were things like stickers, nail polish, pen/pencils, door magnets (as door decorations), trading pins, candy etc.

Count us in for fish extender exchange! We are four:
Me
DH
DS 18
DD 13

Amy, will you be putting together data from all interested parties, or should I just fish through the messages?

Ok, yall dont laugh at me.....I can honestly say I dont know what 13, 14, 18....year old girls or boys like. My boys are 33 months & 13 months. So I dont really know what the older kids enjoy. So if someone could private message me with some idea that older kids like, that would be great. Thank you!!

This is the final call for those who would like to do FE on our sailing. I'll put together a final list by Thursday 5/17 so we know a final count. I'll list each person and their cabin number so you know where to deliver the items. PM me with your names, ages and cabin numbers and then I can PM you back with the final list. Glad that you want to participate!!!

To answer the other question about FE, older kids might like things like decks of cards, trading pins, nail polish (for the 14 yr. old girl), candy, hair clips (for the girl), bookmarks, puzzle books etc.

Looking forward to the trip!:yay:

I guess I will have to work on that :-) A few more FE gift ideas I picked up from other places:glow necklaces and bracelets
hersheys kisses
all kinds of miniature candy bars
gum
disney post cards
party favor horns your blow
little games you roll the ball through the maze, sold in sets of 12 where they sell party favors.
small rubber duckie for 1 and 2 year olds who cant eat the candies.
trading cards for tween boys in the family.
Mickey wash clothes
small sample size hand lotions
highlighter pens to use to mark your navigator paper
goodies that are unique to your part of the country or city (like a mardi gras bead necklace from New Orleans)

By the way - my 18 year old is still a Disney kid at heart - LOVES Chip and Dale, Mickey, etc. so don't let age fool you for any kid or adult :-)

Thank you everyone for being so helpful in the ideas for gifts!!

We just PMed our information for the FE group. There are 3 of us--Me, DH and DD age 9. Now I have to figure out how to make a FE. Off to search....

I've been checking the weather for the Bahamas during our cruise...let's just say it is not pretty:worried: if anyone knows an anti-rain dance...please start doing it. Here's hoping things will change.
