Bad day to visit DLR? I want to do an overnighter with dh and some other family and am trying to squeeze it in before 5-31 so I can get dh the Costco pass and this is the best time I can come up with. I know Memorial Day is a no-go and I'd assume Mother's Day is busy.

We'd likely go either Saturday night or early Sunday and leave Monday evening.

(I'm also thinking of telling dh this is what I want for Mother's Day. )

I have seen that others have different opinions, but I didn't think Mother's Day was more crowded than any other weekend that we've seen. Maybe it is just because I expected it to be more crowded than it was, but I didn't think it was bad at all. I loved being there on Mother's Day. They have carnations for all the Moms as you enter the park. My DS really liked picking one out for me to wear that day. I would go back again on Mother's Day if we could.

I went on memorial day last year and it wasnt too bad at all.

I did not go on sunday though so I couldnt help you out there I went memorial and the 4 days after that and it was great. We are planning to go the same time this year.

The actual Monday holiday last year was very lovely. All the weekend crowds were gone, and we had no idea there had been crowds until we read weekend trip reports. Since the 24th is before the actual holiday, and it's still the weekend, I really wouldn't do it, based on what I read of the Fri-Sun last year.

Unfortunately we have to have a Sunday in there because dh doesn't want to miss that much work. he'd end up on the phone and Blackberry the whole time which we've done and it is no fun. Hmm....must think.

Sounds like my lawyer SIL. Except her blackberry is being used as close to 24/7 as she can get it. 5th year associate at a big huge top 5 lawfirm. Gosh I hope she makes partner!

Oh bummer. Friday is bad too. We'll be there May 20-22 (Wed - Fri)
