MAY 24 - JUNE 4 DISers only!

Casey -

I never heard back from my PM, does that mean I was too late to get 2 of what sound like incredible pins?

oh no is it too late for this?? We'll be there May 30-June 6th...

we'll be there with bridal ears/top hat ears on...just looking for the newlyweds!

I know it's only the 3rd, but we got back last night and I was wondering if anybody had seen anyone with a pin?

I never saw another one, even though I looked hard!

I wore mine every day, but no one ever asked about mine except for a wonderful CM named Ellen at Island Mercantile at AK. She asked, "What group are you with?" Obviously she had heard of the DIS because she said, "You don't use the paper ones anymore?"

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had better luck.

And we had a WONDERFUL trip!
Lisa

Didn't see any pins, but a LOT of lime-green shirts.

I was too much of a wuss to go up to anyone and actually ask them if they're DISSERS, because in previous trips, every time I'd approached someone and asked if they were from the DIS, they looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. So, I gave up on asking.

That being said, I met a few of our fellow Dissers at an event, and they were all wonderful! What a great group of people we have here! This was my first experience actually meeting people here "face-to-face", and it was a great experience. In future trips, I'm going to go out of my way to include myself in DIS events.

By they way, Mister Disney, I just PM'd you. (well, not yet, because I have to send this one first, but you get the jist)

I apologize for not getting back to anyone & everyone. As our trip approached, I was completely focused on catching up at work, getting DS ready (we/I took him out of school for the last 3 days....), and getting packed. You know, the usual kind of stuff.

I, too, saw lots of LIME GREEN, but no pins and met no DISers! So disappointed. I have DS (9) trained to be a look-out, too. I saw a large group of LIME GREEN people getting off a boat at FT. Wilderness and asked if they were DISers. They weren't, but they replied that, "At least we wore the right color for it." So I assume they had been asked before I got to them.

Hope you all enjoyed your pins and will continue to wear them! We are making a short trip again in July (training session/business trip for DH), so I'll keep a look-out then, too!

Thanks for sending the pins, CaseyJr! I wore mine every day, and got lots of comments on it, but didn't meet any DIS'ers, either. Too bad lime green is such an "in" color right now - I chatted with a number of people who were wearing lime green but weren't DIS'ers. A few said they'd been asked that by other people, too, so I knew ya'll were out there...

Too bad we never found each other.:confused3

Thanks for the pins CaseyJr. My sister and I wore them everyday. So cool that they glowed in the dark!! :wizard: I talked to two Diser's, but neither of them noticed the pin at first.

One overheard my brother-in-law and I talking about Cinderella's breakfast and thought we were talking about waking Tinkerbell. We were talking about going back in throught the back door later to get the Fairy Godmother's autograph because she wasn't there when we arrived for breakfast and afterwards the line was coiled all around the room. We didn't want to waste valuable early touring time waiting for an autograph. Anyway they hear us mention the back door and assumed we were talking about going in to wake Tinkerbell. They told us that it was a lot of hype and not as big of a deal as it is made out to be. They had raced up Main Street to do it. They said their daughter asked when is Tinkerbell going to fly, and they told her she already had. After we started talking they noticed my pin.

The second person I met in a restroom when she asked if my Crocs were as comfortable as they say they are. She then noticed my pin and said I must be on the DIS.

One person asked my sister if if was part of the Flower and Garden Festival. :rotfl: We found that pretty funny.

Many people asked about them, including several CMs, but when we told them that they were to signify that we were members of the DIS boards they had no idea what we were talking about.

Thanks again, they are so cool. In all the dark rides my kids would say,"Mom look your glowing again!" :earsboy:

I kept a look out too, but didn't see any DIS anything! I think every third group of people I saw had lime green on though. I did buy a lime green t-shirt at AKL though!
