May 24, 2014 Alaskan 9 night Wonder

I only ask because I have a Pandora store very close to my house, and since you said "Outlet," I am thinking discount pricing.

Sorry, talking to Ann, I apparently used the term "outlet" loosely. The pricing was certainly cheaper than UK, but then we have 20% sales tax (VAT) here, so most things in US are cheaper to us if a good exchange rate.

Suggest I stay on board in Juneau and you go window shopping with Ann :dance3:

I don't think window shopping is going to do the trick. :rotfl:

Shame this thread now seems to be fixated on FE issues rather than the Alaska cruise. As we are coming from the UK, we decided for baggage reasons that we would pass on FE exchange this time.

Frodo UK, I think my parents sail with you maybe. They are Old Geezers, too, LOL!! MrsMork is my mom and I think Dad is Drhug. : )

I was wondering if it would be totally rude to go to the MDR for just appetizer, soup, and salad and then leave?

I definitely asked for the soup as my main entree on our last cruise. Our server even brought it out in a larger soup bowl instead of the smaller cups, which was nice. I definitely don't think think there's anything wrong with just having soup and salad for dinner!

I tend to eat more at lunch and less at dinner but in cooler weather I really like soup.

Oh and someone mentioned French onion soup - what is everyone's favorite soup on board?

I don't scrapbook. I'm just not crafty like that. Although when my granny turned 90 we did a scrapbook thing where every family made a page. I think that was cool.

Favorite soup - chilled strawberry soup at Palo brunch. Delish.

This whole exchange is funny. Frodo, you should have known window shopping would not work so well ;)

I wonder if they have anything special just to Alaska:confused: Might have to window shop also and join Frodo's wife, and RweThereyet, and drag my MIL along;)

We also ran into Jeff last November at Food & Wine in Epcot after he came off Magic with Angie & Dennis.

I think we have cruised with them on Transatlantic, Panama & Hawaii :dance3::dance3:

I do not know how to tag multiple quotes, so I am doing it myself, lol:

VowRenewal - They said Frodo UK is the original Old Geezer:thumbsup2 and they love being part of their Old Geezer DIS group. My dad cracks me up every time he tells the story of it. GIANT smile.

Frodo UK - We just got off a 3-day with all of them over Superbowl weekend, then to WDW over Dad's birthday that week. Loved seeing them all and had not seen my brother for over 2 years. I missed him and do again. He is a good kid. ;)

sweetlovin' - Yes, they are on that one AND one in December with my cousins and their daughter and her husband AND getting ready to book one with us - me (husband), sister (she has never been yet), and my brother (his girlfriend) next February to Grand Cayman and CC. I think they are trying real hard to hit 20 DC's, lol. That will make 19 with those three, I believe. I wish I was them. :)

It must be nice to be them. :thumbsup2 Sounds like they earned it. I think I am waiting for the Iceland repo and Baltics. Julie (11) would like to go on the Feb 14th Fantasy cruise next year. However, Hawaii will win out if it indeed becomes a reality.

BWAHAHA window shopping. Puh-lease :)

Never been to Palo but LOVE strawberry soup. So easy to make. OMG I am hungry now. :p

I'd like a special one for Alaska too. I have seen there set to release charms (well some) and there is a butterfly I do like. I would like to get one of the DCL Camilla charms. I got one for my mom's pandora on our last cruise but I know we have to do something with it (file the threads inside?) to make it go on the Pandora. Anyone know? I didn't have my bracelet back then so I didn't get any that trip.

Have we heard any more on the 2015 itineraries yet? I'm so excite though I am perfectly ok with them waiting until May 24 to release them ahahaha.

Every Disney charm I have purchased (at WDW or on the ship) has fit on my Pandora bracelet/necklace without any changes necessary at all.

Hmm I've hear that the "threads" don't match up. Are all Pandora bracelets/necklaces ones you have to spin the charm onto first?

I haven't heard a peep about the 2015 aside from Disers calling the European ports to find out the Magic schedule. I'm still so amazed by the people tracking. In awe really.

I was up until 2am trying to book Be Our Guest for my daughter's 12th birthday sept 8th. The dining website wouldn't let me book from midnight to 2am. I went to bed got up at 6 am and the only time left was 8:50pm.:scared1: So I booked that and 1900 Park fare for a b day breakfast and took the 8:50 time slot. Since I was up, I thought I would try booking the rest of the week and surprise surprise it let me book my entire vacation. I guess it is 180 days from the day your vacation starts? :confused3 Needless to say, I was unaware of this policy, but booked Be Our Guest twice in the same week. :rolleyes1 Sept 10th the only time left was 8:45pm.

Are you staying at the resorts? You can book 180+10 then so people beat you to the day you wanted because their trips started before yours. I believe there is a FP+ now for BOG. I may be mistaken in how I've read other posts, but something to think about when that come out perhaps. We also have had no problem just waiting for seating at lunch so you may give it a try, too.
