May 23, 2015 Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise!

You can just get off of the ship and walk around or do whatever you would like to do. You just have to be back to the ship on time. They do not wait for you.
that's exactly what we did. We walked off the ship on St. Maarten, caught a cab to airport beach and enjoyed the day.

Hello everyone! I just booked this cruise a few weeks ago and we are super excited! We've never done a Disney Cruise. I've just been reading up on tips and read about the Fish Extenders. Is it too late to join? I haven't yet read through the 7 pages of the thread. What else have I missed? HELP!

It is going to be me, my husband, my daughter (12) and my son (10).

I can't believe some of you have had this booked and have been waiting for over a year!!! It's hard enough for us to wait the few short months!! LOL!

Hi everyone and welcome!

For those of you interested in the FE, it's not too late to join - the cutoff is March 9th. Please just write your stateroom number, names and ages of party members and any special notes (favorite characters, allergies, etc.). You can post the info here or send me a PM.

And yes, a year is a very long time to wait but to be honest it has FLOWN by!! Getting sooooo excited!!!! :yay:

I only have a few posts so I can't PM, but we do have our cabin # - it's at home and I'm not there right now, but I'll let you know.

People traveling with us are
Lara (43)
David (45)
Annie (12)
Ryan (10)

Last name McClendon.

Hi everyone! I just booked today an am soooo excited. This will be our first cruise ever, Disney or otherwise so I can't wait to learn from all you experienced cruisers! It will just be me and my daughter who will be 9. I just got divorced (I wish I could change my Disboards name :( ) and this is our first vacation as our new little family.

We'd love to join the fish extender list! We are in stateroom 7168 and it's me Patty (37) and my daughter Kaitlyn (9). So excited to get to know some of you!

Howdy and welcome to cruising. A word of warning...
cruising is addictive, and DCL cruising is highly addictive.

Any questions you might have, we all can certainly answer. Just post them here (or wherever else this group happens to be gathering) and folks will pretty much rush to answer them. I'm sure you've already done a ton of research and reading but one of my TRs is actually written as an introduction to DCL crusing. If for some odd reason you'd be interested in that, here's the link:

Oh, and as for changing your Disboards name, I say just open a new account with This Dis. Sure, you'll lose the original "join date" and "post count", but you're starting a new life here so maybe that's not such a big deal. Besides, you could list that info in your new account's signature if you wanted.

Just a thought.

Hi all! Just Booked! This will be our 9th Disney Cruise, 2nd time on the Fantasy. DH is Kevin 42, I'm Beverly 44, and DS Brycen is 17. Thinking about joining the FE. I see the deadline is March 9th, so still have time to decide on FE. Look forward to sailing again!

A FE or fish extender is like a secret santa, people on the cruise leave little gifts, it doesn't have to be to fancy some people have given magnets some do homemade items and once I got a room credit! so it really ranges here is an article that goes more into detail hope it helps and you decide to join in the fun it will really be so memorable for your trip especially your first one! :cool1: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-cruise-line/meets.htm

I was able to join the May 23, 2015 FE Group. We are bringing our grandchildren and think that they would LOVE to participate. Thanks in advance for your help! Also, I wanted to ask -- how many times do we leave gifts. Once, twice, every day? Just want to make sure that I am prepared.

This is my first Disney Cruise but not my first cruise. I would like to sign up for the Fish Extenders but cannot find the link. Can anyone help me?

Hi Mary. I have cruised lots but there is nothing like Disney. This will be my 19th Disney cruise. Our family loves it.

Thank you for organizing this! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, but first time doing FE. I am sure I will have many questions as we get closer! I will get us signed up, but I want to talk to my parents (who are traveling with us) first to see if they want to do it too.

The May 23, 2015 will be my first Disney Cruise. I am unable to find the link to sign up for the FE. I don't want to miss the deadline. Can you help me?

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has posted in over a month about a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

Since I do not know who the FE organizer is for the May 23, 2015 Disney Fantasy Cruise, I will just post the info required to participate in the FE in this thread, hoping someone will confirm that this is all that is required. There will be four people in our Stateroom — Randy, Jen, Ethan and MaryB (Dad, Mom, Son/Grandson, Nana). I'm excited about the FE and look forward to our cruise.

We are paid in full as of last week. It's amazing how real it seems once that happens and you do your online check in. So excited!
