Time shifting: Going back & watching the JP segment.

The sister is so RIGHT!!! She said Ashley is YOUNG and would be a bit much (as in high maintenance) for J.P. We've ALL thought so.

The way Ashley broke down & cried, like her sis was calling her names, or in her eyes, withdrawing her love & approval, so DID regress and become a little girl.

I do think it sticks out when the sis asked her if J.P., makes her laugh and she got avoidance and said, "I make myself laugh!" Even J.P. noticed & questioned it.

And when Ashley tells the camera, I don't think my sis should go by how _I_ am right now, because I am all a wreck," does SHE not see that's a problem and she's trying to convince herself?

I do agree with the sister... Ashley IS immature... but that's besides the point.

I think the producers KNEW that JP was the shoo in and they need some reason for the viewers to hang in there. This is the controversy where there really is none. Ashley is a boring girl who picked two BORING guys... the sister is the way to make it a "mystery" as to who she will eventually pick.

She didn't! The look on her face was one of contemplation, like she was trying to think it through or something. Sheesh, when my DH told me for the first time that he loved me, I was beaming with happiness and couldn't stop smiling. Ugh, she's an emotional train wreck. And much as I like JP, he strikes me as the kind of guy who falls easily and hard in love. If they end up together, their relationship will most likely be spent questioning and then reassuring each other of their feelings.

HOLY COW!!!!!

She's like a bull dog with a piece of steak she's tearing apart!!! (No offense to bull dogs.)

I get that she has doubts. WE all have doubts. But J.P. & Ashley don't read our thread. We can be blunt about it. I know she feels short of time, but there are better ways of handling her concerns. I can't believe the way she attacked J.P. and didn't give him a chance at all.

In some ways, she was like testing J.P. If he would sit through THAT, knowing he may get a lifetime of that, is he going to stay?

Frankly, if I were J.P. and knew that would be part of the family I was walking into, and that she SOOOO influences Ashley TOO much, I'd walk away.


It's insane that Ashley's sis can soooo influence her so much that she'd change her mind. THAT IS NOT LOVE!


Shifting forward to Ashley on her date with J.P.:
This back & forth is a hard way to watch this show.

When she said "I KNOW my sister influences me too much and I have to figure things out," and J.P. said, "I thought we did have everything figured out. We DO have that kind of dynamic relationship you want." The fact that Ashley has to SAY what she wants like they don't have it yet???? HELLO! YOU HAVE YOUR ANSWER, ASHLEY. It's not there.

Ok, Ben was so relaxed when picking out the ring. JP looks like a wreck and said he's still guarded. And what, is Neil Lane a jewelry therapist? Can you imagine...JP tells Ashley that was planning to propose to her but after his session with the jeweler, he changed his mind?

It seems like Ashley doesn't care who she picks, as long as she ends up with SOMEONE. She has no clue what is in her head and she has no business making this kind of decision right now.
