I agree - although some people get really upset.
On Princess when we cruise I always go change after dinner to go to the casino so that not all my clothes are smokey and gross and some even complain about that

I don't worry about what other people think about what I am wearing. I paid for the cruise and I am going to wear what I want. Clothes will not change how the food tastes or the service you get or ruin anybody elses dinner. Just relax have a good time.

Thanks everyone! I don't wear dresses (except the one on my last cruise which doesn't fit, and then of course my wedding dress). I'm hoping to find at least a nice shirt to wear with dress pants. I keep saying we'll go to both dinners, then not, then yes, then no! LOL I guess I'll make up my mind eventually!!


We have had a crazy couple of days...hope it's OK to vent!! Mom had her port put in her neck yesterday (after crazy mess with the dr's office i won't even get into now). Took most of the day, we came home, she fell asleep, woke up and yelled up to me, come help me I"m bleeding! UGH, did I mention i'm not good with blood? I mean, really, I get light headed! There was ALOT, so off the the ER we went. Luckily dh was just getting home from work to be with ds. It eventually stopped bleeding in the ER.

Today was the first day of dialysis! Scary thought! Everyone there was So friendly, I could cry just having such nice people to deal with now! Luckily we won't have to deal with that other office anymore! The dr will see her at the center now. They really helped ease our fears/concerns! I am really happy to have got in that clinic. ONLY bad thing...we have the Tues, Thurs, Saturday shift, and the 7am shift! We aren't morning people, and we have to be up by 5:30 to get ready and get there on time! Oh my! We are on the waiting list for the 11am shift. They will help with insurance, disablility, transplant options....such a relief to have someone helping us out now!!!

Back to cruise stuff....

Ok, I'm being lazy here. I admit it. Does anyone have the FE list broken down in to how many teens & how many kids? Even better is how many girl teens, boy teens, younger girls & younger boys.

Want to run to Target today. Saw some cute things the other day but don't know how many I need.

Ok, I have 14 teens/tweens (anywhere from 11 yo and up...since we have a few families that have 11 yo and teens...gave them the same thing, and there is a 19 and 21 yo, and I gave them their own bags)

broken down: Teen/tween boys 7
Teen Tween girls 7


10 kids

broken down: 1 boy
5 girls
1- 4 year old girl
1 - boy 1 1/2 yearls old
2 - boys 1 year old (twins)

I can't believe we cruise in LESS THAN A MONTH!!! I went out yesterday & got a few more FE gifts. I just need to figure something out for the little ones. May go back to Michael's. I think I saw some appropriate things (with mom & dad's supervision) in their dollar section.

I don't have much to wear either. We are skipping formal night. I'd LOVE to do it, but it's just not in the cards for us this trip. We are OK with missing it. We will "dress up" as much as we can to still have pictures, but it won't be anywhere near formal.

Semi-Formal...unless I can find the time to find something, we'll be skipping that as well.


OH, how much luggage per person is allowed on the ship?????

We're not dressing up for formal night either, we just don't want to - we're on vacation!!! Formal night for us will be DH in khakis and a polo shirt and me in either a nice top and capris or a very casual dress. I am bringing two dresses on this cruise, the rest of my attire will be capris and tops. DH is bringing a sport jacket for Palo night - that's the extent of our dressing up! Like everyone else has said, we are going to formal night dinner status quo and I'm sure there will be people in shorts, tuxes, dresses and casual attire but we are there to have fun and enjoy ourselves - not to give out fashion citations, HAHAHAHA!

In ref to luggage, we usually each bring a big suitcase and share a suit carrier (for my two dresses and DH's sport coat and a few other items). Plus we each have a small day bag - that's 5 pieces between 2 people and we've always travelled that way on DCL...no problems!

The first group to Tortola leaves tomorrow......I'll be checking to see if anyone does a "Live From" report. I'm dying to hear about it!

One more LONG day at work tomorrow & I get a day off. After 23 straight, boy will I be ready!! I plan to sleep till noon. Just don't anyone remind me I have another 7 day week starting Monday.
