Just an update. My mom died very peacefully this morning. Everyone was suprised it went so quickly, especially the hospice nurses. My sister & I were there holding her hands, I guess when you are ready to go home, you are ready. We as a family laughed & cried all day. But everyone, including brothers, sisters,my step son, nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews showed up to give their respect. It was awesome to see. I am sad but at the same time, not. What quality of life did she have. We sometimes are more kind to our pets than we are to our family. She is up there with my dad, my sister, my husband, and other family members..and she once again remembers all & is happily running around without any dimentia to limit her.

Ohh, I'm so very sorry. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Sharon, I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. It is good that you and your sister were there with her. Please know we are thinking of you.

Well this is wayyy OT and I'm not really sure what thread this is on, but I just did a search here for Larry Fitzgerald and found this post....

So...wondering if you (or anyone else) saw the interview with Larry Fitzgerald the day after the Super Bowl on The Today Show (or maybe it was Good Morning America..?)

I'm trying to find it on youtube, have googled it too, and can't find it. It was so sweet, about his mother that had passed away, and I think it'd help a dear friend who is also grieving right now.

Anyone see it or know how to find it on line?

TIA.

Here you go!

Thank you all for the wonderful thoughts & prayers. And thanks Stace for the link on Larry Fitzgerald. It was a heart warming story. That almost happened between my dad & I before he passed away. Many times I have thanked the Lord that we had kissed & made up before he died. I went to work today (I work in a private country club) because it was a suprise birthday party for a beautiful & lovely 50 year old member. I wouldn't have missed working her party for the world, though they tried to get me to take some time off. Little did I know that another waiter friend of mine had told a group of these members that my mom had died. Well, the word spread like wildfire & before the night ended tonight, I bet I had 100 hugs & heartfelt words. It was an amazing night & I am so glad I made the decision to work. The membership in my club has so many wonderful people. They consider me a friend and part of their family.

I had a cruise panic attack during the night ... not really a panic attack but enough to wake me. I called my TA yesterday to make final payment & got their voicemail. I didn't hear back from them yesterday so I guess that was weighing heavy on my mind ... not sure why. She got in touch with me today. I made our final payment & am ready to book our ressies next week! What's the 90 day mark again?

Same here.

So is it 12:01 AM on the 22nd ... so get up at midnight on Sat. night/Sun. morning? I hope so ... sure the like the idea of getting up in the middle of the night on a weekend rather than work night.

Angie...yes....just after midnight on Saturday night.

There will be plenty of brunch openings, Bill. Don't worry about it.

From what I could tell, the only thing that was going to book up fast was the dolphin stuff in Tortola.

There BETTER be brunch openings! It's one of the things I'm most looking forward to on my honeymoon, da*n it! :)

Guess I should probably start looking at excursions, huh? :rotfl2: Been a tiny bit preoccupied with planning the actual wedding. It feels strange to have a major trip planned like this (1 week @ Poly, Deluxe Dining, etc, plus 7-night DCL) with practically NO planning to speak of. I'm usually so organized it's annoying even to me! :)

Anyone have an excursion cheat sheet for a frazzled bride-to-be? Tips? :bride:

We did the dolphins in Cozumel, it was great, so I can understand it booking up.

Now my real question, do you think we will get to see the new Pixar move "Up" on board (in 3-D of course)? It's scheduled to premiere on May 29 and in the past DCL has shown new Disney movies on Wednesday or Thursday if its a Friday start in the theaters.

Hard to tell about the movies. Sometimes they do show them and sometimes they don't. We could hijack the thread of the cruise before ours, and have them ask someone about it. :confused3

Is Disney Fairytale Weddings handling everything? They do such an awesome job!

Best thing to do for excursions is look on Disney Cruise Line's site. There are far too many to make up a cheat sheet. ;) What type of things do you like to do?

I'm glad that seeing these people gave you comfort. I am very sorry for your loss. I believe she's up there too, watching over you.

Nope, not Disney's Fairytale Weddings, because I'm not a Disney bride - just an Disney engagement and Disney Honeymoon. The wedding is close to home, in New Hampshire. :) We do have an incredible travel agent so that's helpful. I need to check out the excursion list... we did the Dolphin excursion in Nassau and loved it, but probably won't try for the dolphins again so soon. I think we DO have an actual Disney bride on our cruise, don't we? :)

I hope we get to see the new movie "Up" as well!! I think that would be great....we dont really go to the movies anymore....just another way for us to save money!

About the cruise excursions....the best thing would be to look at Disney's site....I was able to find what we wanted pretty quick (of course changed my mind a few times!!) I can imagine you are quite busy with all the planning....good luck with everything!!

My mom finished the Fish Extenders...

The pockets have our nick names on them.. GoofyGal, GoofyGuy, GoofyBoy.

Mom did the pirate one last, she said it was easier and wished she had done that one first. But I like them both!!

I've been working this week on gifts. (we made one of the gifts). I also worked on Tags for the gift bags. Since we have to cut back on spending, we are putting a few things in there that we already had but still can be useful on the cruise! Still trying to figure out what to do for the tweens/teens :confused3

I put the stuff I have in the bags already.

My son isn't coming on this cruise with us...just Sharon's daughter...but I know for the past several cruises, at ages 12, 13 & 14....he LOVED it when there was candy in the FE. He'd always nab that first. Things like Skittles and Starburst, that we didn't get on the ship. Seems like we can find plenty of chocolate onboard, just not the kind of stuff the kids seem to like.

We did that last year when my daughter was married in Ohio and we cruised the following weekend and then did Disneyland. Yeah...it was exhausting!
I told my husband he'd better be saving up, because for our second daughter, I want to hire a wedding planner to do it all. :headache:

AWESOME Fish Extenders, Heather!!! :thumbsup2
I love the personalized ones, and am always envious of them.
