May 23, 2009 (5/23/09) E. Caribbean w/Tortola

Thanks Bill!:) We have four cabins of family so we are definitely coming. Luckily we have enough retired military in our cabins to still cover the military discount for all the cabins.

Those are the exact rates I've found for car rentals. I didn't try USAA yet. I'm going to search every so often, so if I find something cheaper, I'll definitely post.

Sorry to hear DH cannot cruise with you all:confused3
Have you tried priceline or hotwire for your car rentals?

I bought my plane tickets last night!! Unfortunately I also had to take dh off our reservation yesterday. It was the last day to remove him without penalty and unfortunately it doesn't look like the military is going to let him get away for this.:sad1:

That is a real shame he won't be able to make it.... Maybe do something special for him? Idea: My Mom doens't travel but we wanted to take her to Disney. So we bought a Merryweather (blue fairy from Sleeping Beauty) doll with us around the parks. We took pictures of "Gramma" everywhere. She drove the Jungle Cruise boat, she and Aurora posed for pics at CRT. She even rode some roller coasters. When we returned home, I made her a book. She loved it. You could get a military Mickey doll and take him around and he can be with you in spirit.

Wonderful idea - I started something similar at my last company - we had a little bear and whoever travelled took him with and took pics. then we had a world map that I put up and we put the pics around it and pinned all the places the bear had been.
Your idea is wonderful and fun too.

Hi Everyone! :wave2: What do you think about ordering green DIS bracelets for our group meet? Would anyone like to meet at the sail away party? Up on the landing overlooking all the fun?

I think this is a great idea!! I saw it on another post here on DIS and was going to order some for our family/friends.
We would certainly like to get together at the sail away party too. Don't know if I can keep the kids away from the fun down by the big tv, but we can stop by and say hi.

Darn, I was looking forward to wearing my lime green t-shirt again.

Green wristbands are a great idea. :yay: We did this on the 2005 Mexican Riviera (got them at Downtown Disney). Instead of lime green t-shirts, we all gone the lime green hats from Target.

Meeting for the sailaway is also a great idea. Last time, we meet during the afternoon near the Mickey Pool so everyone could meet and get the list of cabins, etc. (DH has a lime green speedo, but don't worry it will not make it into the suitcase. :rotfl2:)

Egads, she found them again :scared1: You all might get grossed out by my speedos, but at least they run off all the riff-raff and we can have an entire section of the ship for ourselves  Now to try figure out where she hid them.

My ds will be 13, almost 14 on the cruise. He likes video games and sports...and he is looking for some friends on the cruise. I think they'll have a great time!![/QUOTE]

Goofygal1975...That is great! I am glad to know there will be boys on the cruise close in age to my boys. I am sure they will have a blast!

Deck 10 is definitely a better spot to meet. Not as crowded. If we meet early enough, people with littler kids can still take them down one deck to dance.
Sharon and I can look this weekend at Disneyland for some of the lime green bracelets. We can probably get 15 or so....sorry I can't afford to get many more than that.

Well, shoot, be sure to pack'em then

I think the braclets are a great idea. Anyone want to organize it? I can help out. I think it would be a great idea to get them sent out to everyone before the cruise!!

I have a paypal account and do ebay so am used to shipping stuff out each week.

SO, WHO WANTS TO GET IN ON THE BRACELETS??

WHAT ABOUT THE MEET THE FIRST DAY? WHAT TIME AND WHERE?
