It's official: we have snow flurries!!!! They said there might be some accumulation on the grassy areas, but the ground is still too warm for it to affect the roads.

WOW!!! You are so lucky!!! we are just southeast of Birmingham, and are not in the weather advisory...we had lots of sleet/ice today...on the roof tops it actually looks like snow. But no flurries....at least not yet...lol

Emily sat down at the kitchen table to do her homework at 5:00 & noticed that it was snowing. We quickly threw on jackets & ran outside. It snowed for a few hours. It looks like it may have stopped now. Big excitement for us! Here are a few pictures.

WOW!!!! You had quite a bit of snow. We just had flurries and now it's just raining. Oh well, it was pretty though.

Heather & Emily, sorry that y'all didn't get any snow. It wound up snowing for a couple of hours. By the girls' bedtime, it was raining. Ashley (the younger one) went to sleep crying because she knew the snow may not be here this morning. We probably should have gone play in it in the dark after dinner. Oh well! It rained all night but about an inch of snow was still on the grass this morning. It was still raining this morning but we all went out & made a very small snowman & threw a few snowballs. Everyone is off to school & work now.

Hey, Ang! We got about an inch -- it looked so pretty! Still a little left on the lawns this morning. Tori tried to convince me she needed to stay home from school today because "no one's going!" So for today, I'm the mean mother for "making" her go to school!!!

Forsyth County & Gainesville schools are closed. They did get more up that way, so hopefully Lake Lanier will benefit.

I checked out our forecast this morning. Weather.com is showing snow for us again on Saturday ... hmmmm ... guess I shouldn't even mention that to the girls. They'll want to stay home instead of heading to Louisiana. Hopefully it'll be warmer there.

is right! I can't even imagine. I have a coworker that is originally from Madison, WI & still has his Packer tickets. He & is wife are going up to the game this weekend. Better him than me!

I saw that on GMA this morning. It was showing 19 degrees for the Atlanta area. I wonder what we'll get. For some reason they haven't been showing the 7 day forcast. Is there something they're not telling us?

Wow...I'm glad everyone who got snow had fun!!! The forecast hear is for snow on saturday...possibly. But we'll miss it of course.

I won't be around for the weekend...we fly out early tomorrow and then fly back in Monday afternoon. We aren't bringing the laptop. DH's parents don't have a computer or internet service and we won't be in the hotel room much so we won't bring the laptop.
