Thought I'd share some photos. The photos are us on our honeymoon cruise, at our Wedding, and our last years trip to Disneyland on the Matterhorn.

Claire, your pictures are beautiful! We had a DFTW back in 2007. We're actually having a 5 year vow renewal on this cruise! So that helped us decide which night to do Palo

I love that you all make spreadsheets for your trips! I thought I was the only crazy person who did that

Juneau is the only thing we have left to plan, but it's giving us trouble. We just can't decide if it's worth the cost to take the helicopter onto the glacier or even to do the heli/sled dog tour. And if not, we can't decide if we should do the glacier trek with Above & Beyond so we'll still get to touch the glacier... decisions, decisions!

We're going to try for the last night. Mom and I have found that it makes a really nice end to the cruise. We're also keeping our fingers crossed for brunch on Tracy Arm day!

Our DFTW was the best day of my life, we're planning on a 10 year VR.

We've not decided on any tours yet but we booked all our hotels this weekend so tours are next on the list.

Just booked my flights this morning! Coming home on Memorial Day, I think the flights will not be coming down in price.

I noticed on the calendar that May 21 is Victoria Day in Canada. Will that have any impact in Vancouver on our sail day?

The only impact it may have is if anyone needs anything from a bank or such. Some businesses may be closed so unless you are sighseeing the morning of the cruise, everything should be okay. I know we are there the day before on the cruise before this one as well. We are looking at what we want to do on each day and making sure that everything is open.

I think it's affecting hotel prices some. I was floored when DCL had the best rate available at the Fairmont Waterfront by almost $100!

How do you find about DCL's hotel rates? Is it on their website, or do you have to call them?

I'm afraid I'm not much help. I requested the pricing information before they had the hotels ready to book as part of the reservation. They DCL lady took my info and said they'd call once the information was available. Then, a month or so later, I went on to make a payment and noticed my overal fare had increased. I did a little digging and found that they had booked my pre-cruise hotel for me. I had to do the math between the ressie cost prior to the hotel and after the hotel.

I don't know if the price stays the same or fluctuates. We've got a room for 2 adults at the Fairmont Waterfront at $330 for the night before the cruise.

I just got off the phone with DCL and got the following information:

The 3 dining rotations are:
A) T A P T A P T
B) A P T A P T A
C) P T A P T A P

("T" = Triton's, "A" = Animator's Palace, "P" = Parrot Cay)

Formal/Captain's Gala: Night 2, Tuesday (05/22)
Pirates: Night 4, Thursday (05/24)
Semi-Formal: Night 6, Saturday (05/26)

So depending on your rotation you'd end up with one of the following
Mon - T A P
Tue - A P T (Formal/Captain's Gala Night)
Wed - P T A
Thu - T A P (Pirates Night)
Fri - A P T
Sat - P T A (Semi-Formal Night)
Sun - T A P

You can request a certain rotation and they'll take that into consideration when assigning the rotations, but there's no guarantees. When we requested a specific rotation for our Mexican Riviera cruise in October, we did get the one we asked for.

I am not 100% sure - I know when we go to Ontario from Detroit - we can use US money. I would assume because it is so close to the US that we probably can but I will check with someone who went awhile back and see what they say.
