My rate dropped too and no matter what I do I can't get the CDW to drop from the reservation.

i try to check my res every day now that we're in the home stretch. Saw mine dropped $10 yesterday but same as you it included the CdW.

It seems to vary from day to day whether the CDW is included, so strange. Keep checking, good lucck.

VG is going down while Costco rates are going up for our minivan for 10 days at the end of May. Every time I check, it includes CDW. The last two reservations it also included the free additional driver.

Alamo Rates with 7016427 (Vegas Brazil) and $35 coupon AD8183SDM are up a little bit today from yesterday (just back to last weeks pricing). However, the CDW was NOT included when I was looking at new reservation. If anyone is trying to get a res. without CDW, you might try right now.

I did the Vegas Brazil code and coupon thank you. It ended up being. 390.00. Which I can live with. Nervous about the code. But at least it's something. We love alamo. Usually have luck finding a minivan that has a. Back up camera which comes in handy!!

Collision damage waiver. Some are glad to have it included. Others worry about what happens with it if you have an accident. Here is what another member said to explain it:

In the event of an accident (FL is a no fault state btw, same as my state) Alamo is likely to look at the contract very carefully and dispute what they may term unauthorized usage of a code. Lawsuits have been referenced on other sites. Your CC company that typically will come into play for this gap could then balk paying, saying you had primary coverage. Wouldn't think your basic full liability auto insurance policy would be in play, but who knows. Just though of a long, drawn-out hassle is enough to have me steer clear.

How are Alamo lines with online checkin? Using Dollar Express in the past was incredibly speedy and convenient.

We have used Alamo the past 2 trips and love it. The online check in is the way to go. We simply walked out to proper car class, jumped in car and checked out on the way out. It was a breeze. I just booked a mini van for 10 days for $240. Best rate Ive found yet for our May 18 to May 28 dates.

I used Brazil code, and checked in online, put in all my info, and printed out a page that says to Skip the Counter.

Tricky question. It depends on who you ask. You can look back at this thread for all the various reasons why people do/do not want it. I prefer not to have it.

I prefer not to have it as it would only add a third level of coverage (I'm already covered through my personal car insurance policy as well as the credit card I'll be using.) A few extra dollars to remove that level of complication is worth it to me.

That said, with all car rental companies, be sure not only to do a walk around and note all the issues (it's a pain, but look under the bumpers for scratches too) but I suggest you videotape the walk around as backup. You know what they say about an ounce of prevention...

My rates dropped today for May 21-29 for Dollar. I got a full size for $259.56 for 9 days with 101087 code. The rates were over $400 for this time last week.

Same thing for me. I assume the reservations we already have with the coupon are still valid, but I don't know for sure.
