Planning stages again from our great adventure of May last year.. Yay!!!! Somehow I have flipped my hubby to the happy side and he actually decided the next one.. He wanted more sea days on a cruise so we are going to do the Transatlantic cruise to Barcelona..
So our planning so far.. Hopefully leaving Perth around the 10th May for roughly a week at WDW depending on cruise departure date. 12 night transatlantic cruise on the Disney Magic finishing in Barcelona but flying straight to London. Then we will spend 2 weeks in England enjoying the sights.. Showing my kids the history which is so different to Aussie history and so so much older...lol. And my hubby and kids meeting all my English family.

I'm so excited to be planning again...just waiting now on release date of cruise and then I'm raring to go...lol

For those who have toured london, Is there anything you would make sure you did...???

No advice on London haven't been yet but I am doing the opposite this year and from Perth the cheapest option was a return ticket to the USA and a one way flight from the USA to Europe, happy planning :cool1:

Yes WAMUMOF4 I'm finding the same thing... So far it looks like return flights to Orlando then london to Orlando for returning home... Still saving us over $700 and I'm only researching so far...:-(

I thought we would get a round the world ticket but it was more than double :confused3 Norwegian fly London to orlando, we ended up booking Iceland air for A$530 each from Boston with a stopover in Iceland which I am quite excited about :) have a look at 1800 fly Europe a few people from our cruise have used them they seem to have quite good fares and great reviews but we were already set on going via Iceland when I heard about them. I figure at least coming home via the USA we get to shop on the way home ;)

What a great looking trip and how nice to start planning again!

London? Take a look at the Monopoly board and check out where the streets area; and what is around each of those 'colour' groups. I found it to be an amusing way to research London and also to put it into context of something that I could relate to. Plus, they gave me natural destinations to group London into so that if I was heading in that direction, I would know what to go-see.

I haven't been to London since Harry Potter; but next time I go, the HP sites and museum will be my must do.

Have fun planning.

Sounds like fun!

I love PIO's Monopoly board idea :thumbsup2 And would also be keen on visiting some HP sites. I'd definitely spend some time in the countryside though, even as day trips if you're going to base in London the whole time.

Sounds fantastic:cool1:
In regards to London, i have only spent a short time here, once for a week, 25 years ago and then 5 days a few years ago, the hop on hop off bus is a great way to get around, we did a day trip to Bath, Stonehenge etc, which we really enjoyed.
Hopefully on the list for 2015 for us as well, I really want to hire a car and spend some time in the countryside.:thumbsup2

I lived in London for almost 2 years and feel like I must have been living in a cave - there are so many places of the Monopoly board I never ever got to.

Vicky2jeff, have you been to Barcelona before? If not, you must spend at least a night there. It's an amazing city - one of my favourite places in Europe.

When I went for the first time, I bought the London Pass - it's like a "fast pass" for heaps of places
**Go to the Tower of London
Get there early
Go straight to the Crown Jewels
I got to spent at least half an hour in there with hardly anyone else oohing & aahing at the bling
** Go to St Paul's
Go in throughout the crypt to bypass the queue
Go all the way to the top for an awesome view over London
** Go to The Queens Gallery
They change the exhibition at intervals
The 1st time I went, Victoria & Alberts art collection was on display
Last time, Leonardo Da Vinci's anatomy drawings were on display

Thanks for all the ideas ..:-) I do like the monopoly idea too
I have found a bit on Harry potter , so we are going to surprise the boys with that.. Tower of London is on the list too..:-)
I found the passes you spoke about , such a choice . I found the dungeons too.. That looks exciting..:-)

I have never been to Barcelona .. I think hubby just wanted to get to England but I would like to have a look.. I have been to Spain when I was much younger but never Barcelona

Hooray for researching and great info
