May 2014!!!!

Hopefully the last week in May- depends on if I can get time off!

My husband and I (27 and 25) will be taking my siblings, ages 9, 10, 14, and 18. We'll be staying at Shades of Green, and I can't wait!

I was thinking of taking our family the same dates because we opted not to go this year (our anniversary is May 5th so I chose the same dates you did). Hope we can both make it work and get our trips in May

It's never too far to plan, IMO! If I can find decent airfare, we will go down for a quick weekend for the Everest Challenge!

We will be heading down April 30, 2014 and spending 8 nights at the Poly, to celebrate our daughter's 3rd birthday. Can't wait for 2014 packages to open up so I can get us booked!

Our family will be traveling a little later, in June 2014, and we're ooberly excited. It's our first time to WDW, we're going in celebration of my son's passing from kindergarten. We've already booked our Nemo suite @ AoA, but I'm still patiently waiting for the packages to come out so we can officially book everything. We've already started looking into ADRs and I've become addicted to DIS board. I'm a type A personality so all of this planning just makes me anxious and makes the experience all the more fun, well for me at least, lol!

So excited, plus its a surprise trip for the kids 3years in the making lol. I have my heart set on AoA in a nemo suite and am hoping that booking in late Aug wont be too late. Do you think Aug is too late for booking? I know the Nemo suites are very popular.

I know what it's like planning a surprise, that makes it even more exciting for the parents. Our trip is a surprise for my son as well. I wanteda Nemo suite at AoA and I personally feel its never too early to book. I've heard that they're the most popular suites and usually book very quickly so I've already booked our suite for June 2014. Rather be safe than sorry IMO...

We will be there for May 2014. It will be our 4th year visiting in May, and we LOVE that time of year! This year we were able to catch the F&G Festival at Epcot and the opening day of Star Wars Weekends at DHS. Perfect timing!

Also planning to book for May 2014! Yay! Our last trip was May 2011 and it was ideal weather (rained 1 hour on our first day while we were landing and that was it!) with managable crowds.

I'm so undecided on the dates because I want to fit in a Star Wars weekend, but want to avoid memorial day weekend which looks like it falls during the same time. I'd like to go as early in May as possible to avoid increasing heat and crowds as schools get out.

Any speculation on whether the first weekend will be May 17th or May 24th? Because of the way the dates fall (Is May 31/June 1st the last weekend of May, or the first weekend of June for SWW?) its hard to predict the dates. When do they officially get announced because i'm thinking I will need to book before then for sure! Decisions decisions!! At this point I'm thinking may 28th - June might guarantee two very happy little boys!

This year it was the third weekend of May. Not sure about the other weekends in the past.

Do you go every May? We go at least once a year but this will be our first may trip since 2009-honeymoon & my first trip! Now this will be first trip with the baby!! So excited thanks for letting us know about the FB page.

No problem! It's kinda quiet right now, but I suspect it will gradually pick up and be really chatty by the time we are all getting into the details of planning

Next year will be our 4th annual trip in May. We go once per year and it's been a 9-10 day trip. So far we have stayed at POP (2011), OKW (2012) and POP (2013). Next year (so far, but this always has a way of changing!) we are looking at a split stay at AoA and BLT. We are not DVC members, but we rented points to stay at OKW and we would be doing the same if we stay at BLT. I dream of staying at a resort with monorail access! lol

I joined the fb page but was wondering if there was a way for me to post without anyone outside of the group seeing. This is a suprize trip for my kids and the first for my whole family. Only a few of my family and freinds know and im worried someone will see me posting and blow the whole suprize lol. Weve already had some close calls...
